Panting heavily, the celestial pelted lioness slowly crept forward. She had been chased away from the river where she was supposed to meet back up with Koehro and now had absolutely no idea where she was, yes again. Stopping suddenly, cyan colored eyes looked up at the sky and she took a moment to curse all the deities that could have possibly caused the misfortune she was dealing with now. What was more, she wished death upon the trickster lion that had created such an awful turn of events to plague her.

With two more deep breathes, the lioness lowered her head. Sudden nausea. The only thing she recognized linked with her personality shifts and hallucinations. Would they come to plague her again? Fear suddenly pulsed through her body. Shelter; She had to find it, quickly.

Clenching her jaw tightly, Hesper pushed back the feelings wafting through her body and rush forward. Blindly hoping she might stumble upon a kinder soul than the character she had be chased by, or possibly find another healer. Something had to go right, right? She had done many horrible things in her past, but now... Now she was okay. She was repenting for those horrible things.

Memories flashed as she thought back to her old mate and his twin... Then forward a little to the small faces of her children to whom she deserted. Feeling the sting of tears now on her face she realized... Yes, she was a horrible creature and this might just be her purgatory.

Running further away from the river another wave of sickness rushed passed her, this time making her trip up. Tangling her feet together, gravity gladly caught the blue beast.

Falling face first into the ground the lioness fell limp. What use was there in fight this anymore? Something wanted her dead after all...

Eigyr had been out searching for something new since before dawn, but she'd had no luck. Though it was difficult to assess whether or not it was a failure, since she didn't know what she was looking for in the first place. She didn't suppose it was something most would understand, but she knew once she found the right herb it would call to her. She caught sight of the lioness falling in the distance and within a few moments she had sped her pace to find the spot where she lay. She wasn't sure what was wrong, but the twinge in her chest told her that something definitely wasn't right.

As she approached she began to assess the situation. Limp, shallow breathing, though she didn't appear dehydrated. "Miss?" she asked, careful to keep out of swiping range until she had figured out the other's mental state, "Do you know where you are right now? Do you need help?" She glanced over her shoulder, back toward the pride land. She could bring this stranger in to her home if she needed treatment, but it was quite a ways away and the keepers might gossip if she turned out to be some strange druid.

Her head was all a fog, but the voice did get through to her. A soft voice of a female. Perhaps this was her turning point... perhaps...

Opening her eyes slowly, Hesper looked towards the voice, but did not move. Movement caused more dizziness and with that more of the illness. She felt like something was crawling all over her though. It always started like this.

"I..." Taking a few more shallow breathes, Hesper's eyes watered. She couldn't express her thoughts. She was failing with words. The silver tongued beauty was loosing her only asset. How could she live if she was stripped of her only strong point?

"H-Help." It was all she could mutter as her body slowly feel limp again. Eyes slowly drifting closed. How strange it was to see the body weaken so quickly... It was but a month ago that she was at her peak. Now... she was dying like an old crone in the land of rogues.

That was all the permission Eigyr needed to step in. The female seemed to be fading fast, though from what she couldn't tell. Moving quickly she searched for any sign of injury and finding none decided that the cause must be something she had ingested. It wasn't uncommon, though it was more often a problem with cubs than adults. Unless she'd gotten some sour advice of course. "Have you eaten anything strange?" she asked as she tried lifting the other's eyelids with a paw. It was difficult to be gentle without true cooperation, but she tried her best. The pupils looked to be slightly different sizes, rarely a good sign. A neurotoxin maybe. "Any odd plants or bugs maybe?" she added, hoping it might jog the lioness's memory. She wasn't sure how responsive her patient would be and that made her nervous, what she could do might create more problems than it solved if she didn't know the cause.

Hesper was only picking up bits and pieces of what the lioness was saying. Strange... then nothing as her eyelids were opened with a pink colored paw. How violent light can be when you are in a weakened state, but she couldn't pull away. There her voice was again... this time she picked up the muffled word of pants..? No...

Plants! Strange Plants? Yes, yes that was exactly what was going on with her. She had ate a strange plant that was supposed to help her. Only... it was killing her instead.

Moving her head slowly to look at the other lioness, Hesper took many quick, shallow breathes, then nodded, slowly, but she made she it could be recognized, even in her state.

Yes, yes this lioness was right. It was something odd!

"A plant, alright," Eigyr said softly, hoping to reassure the lioness by letting her know she was being understood. She brushed her paw across the other's side, trying to think of what could cause symptoms like this. There were a few hallucinogens that were used to augment sedatives, but they wouldn't cause something this drastic. It had to be a poison then.

She bit her lip, trying to sort out how to deal with it. She could manage the symptoms, but without knowing the specific poison she might still make it worse. The best option would be to try and get whatever was left out of her system. "Soon? Once for soon, twice for long ago," she told her, trying to keep eye contact.

Hesper could feel the soft strokes of the pink lioness and felt incredibly glad that she had her there now. Even if she passed away, at least it would be in the company of another. Fluttering eyes, the lioness waited for the stranger to ask more questions or figure something out for her.

And as time went on, she was awarded a question. One about how long ago it was that she had taken the plant. Taking a few moments to count the moons, she slowly nodded once. Then, after taking a breath, nodded again. It had indeed been awhile since she had taken the poison.

She couldn't die like this. Not with how open ended she left everything. Hell, her running away would be all for moot if she passed now. Whimpering a little, she twitched her paws, fighting the fatigue and illness.

Eigyr let her breath seep out in a low slow whisper as she considered the options. A long time ago meant that it was no longer in her stomach, so inducing it back up would do no good. Detoxification however might be possible with the right combination of absorptive substances.

Settling on her haunches she dropped her pouch from around her neck and spread its contents out across the ground. No immediate panaceas jumped out at her, but after a few moments she flinched. There were a few crinkled brown roots that had sat in the bottom of her pouch for quite a while, devil's claw. But it wouldn't work alone.

"I've got an idea, stay with me okay?" she told the lioness as she turned and began to dig as fast as she can, clawing through the hard cracked earth until she got down to the cool damp clay. Working quickly she broke the roots into small pieces and surrounded them in clay, then turned back to her patient.

"Can you swallow these?" she asked cautiously as she pushed the pieces into reach, "If you can they'll help to pull out the poison, and they'll let you rest." If not, well, she'd find a way to get them down herself.

Hesper shifted her gaze to the items in question unsure if she could or not. She would definitely try, that was for damn sure. "Let me try..." Pulling the items closer with her paw, Hesper analyzed them for a second before feeling her stomach roll. The very thought of swallowing something made her ill, but she would force herself to do it.

Grasping the items in her paw, she quickly shoved the herbs into her mouth, letting the bitter tasty seep into her mouth as her saliva moistened the root. After a solid minute the lioness finally swallowed, unable to take the strong taste anymore.

"Ugh!" Dry heaving, Hesper had to use all her effort in order to stop herself from vomitting. "What..." Breathing sharply, she looked to the lioness. "What was that?!"

I think we can call it in the next post or two. Maybe continue with another RP checking in on her if you would like?
