Hyousa was shaken. Though accidents happened, it was hard to face that fast when it was on a hunt she had lead herself. She wondered if she had faltered during the hunt herself, or what. The low-class lioness would be alright, but it brought doubts upon the starry lioness. Was she really good enough to be the head huntress? It hadn't been a fluke that she was chosen to take the lead, but this event had jarred her. The low-class lioness depended on those in the classes above her to keep her safe, as the Great Lion would not.
Hyousa had clearly failed that unspoken promise.
With a heavy heart, the let her paws take her away from the slave dens to a typically more secluded area. She needed a little soul searching, and was honestly hoping that the Great Lion would give her a little help, as well. Anything to tell her that she wasn't that much of a failure.

((So sorry for the delay!)) While A'dal had already met those of similar rank to him, he had little time to actually explore. With his female companion off doing who knew what, the lion had been by himself for a majority of the time he had been within the pride, thinking more and more about which rank he would choose to take. The Great Lion had gifted him a fine opportunity: any rank her liked. A'dal had been lucky in that he had awoken on the night of a full moon. He had already promised Abayomi, a lioness who had come to the pride with him and awoken on a moon phase that had placed her in the lower-middle tier of the pride's ranking system, that he would look out for her as his rank would allow him to do.
Could he even do that? Live up to what his rank allowed him to do that is. Perhaps he could with time, though first thing was first; he needed to decide what rank he would take. Cream-toed paws carried A'dal over the ground, his attention on his thoughts and not on where he was actually walking.
