Quote: (( Hi guys! Welcome to the second meeting of the Jovians. I'll be kickstarting this one and there is no set post order. We'll be going over a few basic things ICly along with some catch-up for characters who were not able to attend certain metaplots or other events. Food and drink is there, feel free to arrive and post when you can. If you can't or don't want to post, that's fine too. n_n This meeting will take place over two weeks or until we've covered everything. Here's what we're going over, teal deer version:
How will the Court be run? What are our goals for the present? The future? What are our opinions on the Negaverse? Dark Mirrors? Civilians? Whatever else you think is important!
And with that, here we go! )) The breeze had finally settled down when the sun began its descent across the horizon. Summer was creeping up upon Destiny City and with it came a welcome break for students and teachers. After final exams, classes would be dismissed if even for a short while. As the guiding sunlight drifted beneath high rise apartments, a lone senshi stood atop a flat roof, the spot she'd picked to call together the group that helped keep her on this side of the war. The side of good. Had Ares had her way, Kallichore wasn't sure if she'd have ended up in the same place she stood now. A few taps on her cellphone and mass message went out - "Meeting atop the downtown auditorium. You are cordially invited to come if and when you're able." along with coordinates and a start time - sunset. The senshi of madness thought a meeting was long overdue and she was becoming antsy. So many things could happen - bad things - when she found herself in a place like that. She hoped the others agreed to come along and talk things through, make sure everyone else was on the same page. Time passed, maybe half an hour at most before other powered signatures showed up on her mental radar. The auditorium was in disuse around this time of year and the adjacent neighborhoods were single story houses. This provided the people in attendance a vantage point to watch for party crashes, and it was unusual - hardly anyone came here unless it was for schoolwork or a symposium on relative dynamics or something. A perfect meeting place. Before choosing the spot, Kallichore had made an effort to bring some snacks and drinks from a convenience store not too far away. Cans and finger food, as too much would bring too many trips. She hoped it would be enough to satisfy. Once familiar and unfamiliar faces alike started to show up, Kallichore turned on her perch atop the high dome on the front of the meeting, jumping to land midst her peers. "First, I'd like to thank you all for coming. It means a great deal to me and to the group as a whole that you decided to arrive, and agree to this meeting." she started, voice even and stoic as was her customary tone. She was an eternal now, one rank higher than when she'd escaped from Ares' clutches, and that much smarter, she hoped. "I think we can all agree that this is long overdue and much has happened since we'd seen each other last. I'm relieved to know you're all safe and whole, and that much stronger than last time." She would've put her hands behind her back when she spoke but knew Ganymede would likely point out that she was even less clothed than she was before, and that thought was utterly embarrassing. This meeting needed to at least start on the right track. Instead, the senshi held her hands together in front of her. "I'm sure we can all agree that we should decide on how the court will be run, logistically-speaking, what our goals are and where our future lies. It's extremely important that we all agree on this. Your opinions are valued whether you're just starting out," She nodded to the younger members and prospectives in attendance with a slight smile to her face. Turning to the others, she nodded again. "...and those who are veterans in the war. Everyone's experience matters so please do not hesitate to speak your mind if you wish. No one is here to judge anyone else." The senshi in red walked past several new faces, some invited by herself and some by others. The one she'd been searching for months ago, Chibimoon, had been invited among others. Kallichore was sure her experience, combined with those she'd never met, would help shed light on what the court's common goals would be. She greatly looked forward to hearing what everyone in attendance had to say, and told herself not to obsess over it too much. She actually left her pen and paper at home - a huge step in the right direction, she thought. That all being said, Kallichore visibly relaxed. "Please, help yourselves to food and drink. It's not much, but it was what I was able to carry. If anyone would like to start us out, you have the floor."

It was strange, meeting like this. Or at least it made Valhalla the slightest bit uncomfortable. While he was perfectly fine with those who had been a part of their first meeting, he wasn’t sure how he felt about others showing up. People whom they didn’t all know. People they didn’t know if they could trust.
He was glad they weren’t meeting on the roof of his apartment this time. At one point, he wouldn’t have cared if the whole city knew where he lived, or even if they knew his identity. But now that his boyfriend was living with him, he’d developed a stronger sense of self-preservation. If only to protect those he cared about.
Presently, the squire of Jupiter stood among the group, hoping to encourage the others to stand in a circle. It would be better than having one person at the front for the others to look at. Just because they were on top of an auditorium didn’t mean they should be an audience for only a select few.
That wasn’t what this group was about, and he didn’t want any newcomer to get the wrong impression.
Ganymede was beside him, of course. He was welcome to stand wherever he wanted, but after recent events, Valhalla would prefer the Senshi of Lust to remain somewhat close by. He told himself it was to offer the senshi comfort, rather than just being overly-protective himself.
“I think, Kallichore,” he started, his arms crossed over his chest, but his expression was soft, “We should offer introductions. I don’t think we’ve all met just yet.” He smiled at her, wanting her to know he didn’t think she was doing a bad job or anything of that nature. She’d shown an incentive by officially calling the meeting, even though they’d discussed it a few weeks back. Besides, he considered her a friend, just as he did the others, no matter how little they knew of each other.
“I’m Valhalla of Jupiter, and a member of the Jovian Court,” he said proudly, nodding briefly to the new faces. While he remained wary, he could sense no chaotic energy coming from them.
“The protection of the city… of Earth, and those who live on it should be our number one concern,” he voiced, hoping to at least get the discussion going. He smiled apologetically towards the new faces, not imagining that getting hit hard with ‘Court goals and logistics’ would be all that warm and fuzzy, but it was what had to be done.
“That should include all life,” he emphasized. “We need to find a way to end this war peacefully. No more death and violence… We’re all human — Negaverse officers, included.”
If they could find a way to come up with a truce, even… That would be better than needless fighting and killing. Sure, some were going to be intent on fighting, no matter what, but the Jovians needed to be an example of peace…
At least that was what he hoped for.

Ganymede was not entirely thrilled about this meeting. He wasn’t against it—he had, after all, agreed that getting together with the others and checking in with everyone would be a good idea—but he wasn’t completely for it either, not when he looked around the circle of gathered figures and saw unfamiliar faces. It made no difference to him who they were, what they decided to believe, or what they’d come to fight for, whether it was in any way similar to his ideals or not. The mere fact that they were strangers to him was enough to put him on the defensive. He mirrored Valhalla and folded his arms across his chest, but his expression, by contrast, was distant and guarded.
He viewed the newcomers from beneath a veil of suspicion, one that had not been quite so thick the last time the Jovians had come together, but that meeting had occurred under a much different set of circumstances. Traumatic events had a way of bringing people together. Coming here willingly, presenting and sharing of himself with people he didn’t know, during a time of relative inactivity…
It was asking a lot of him. Especially now, when he was already on edge and not in the best state emotionally.
The Senshi of Lust stood as near to Valhalla as he could without being right on top of him, close enough that they were almost touching. He looked around the gathering of senshi and knights and the cats who joined them, sparing a few curt nods of greeting the those he was most familiar with. He was happy to see them, relieved that they all seemed to be doing as well as could be expected. The strangers… he eyed them warily, and though he tried to put a damper on any open hostility, it was probably fairly obvious that he was far from comfortable.
“Sailor Ganymede,” he introduced himself.
He didn’t bother to denote his rank—the wings should make that obvious enough (and if he’d been more relaxed, he might have been able to take more pride in it, especially as this marked the first occasion anyone but Valhalla had seen the change). Neither did he mention his sphere, or profess his loyalty to the court as Valhalla had. The ones who mattered already knew how he felt about them. Many of them had fought alongside him, and doubtless would again. The rest would have to be satisfied with the fact that he’d actually showed up. If they could prove themselves to be trustworthy, perhaps he’d offer a warmer welcome next time.
Provided there actually was a next time for some of them.
“Is the function of the court really something we should be talking about in front of people who aren’t even members?” he asked, shifting from foot to foot. “I’m not saying make them jump through hoops to get in, because that would be ridiculous, but I’d at least like to know who they are, how they found out about us, and what their intentions are before we start all this.”
Call him skeptical and over-sensitive. He wouldn’t even bother to try denying it.

Europa hadn't realized how much their numbers had swelled since the first meeting. Although she knew that at least some of those in attendance were simply here to observe, there were also those who, as far as she could tell, would be joining the court. The senshi of the deep longed to introduce to each and every one of the unfamiliar faces on the rooftop, but now wasn't the right time for that. There were bigger fish to fry, as Kallichore had so excellently laid out.
Although, Valhalla's suggestion of introductions was welcome - clearly, she wasn't the only one to have noticed their increased number. Europa smoothed out her ruffles and awaited her turn, nodding as Valhalla and then Ganymede introduced themselves, noting their respective rank changes.
In addition to all of the new faces on the rooftop, Europa was heartened to see how her compatriots had been increasing their strength. Ganymede and Kallichore had earned their buttwings, bringing the Eternal senshi among their ranks to three. Pasiphae's super ribbons and lace suited her complexion, she thought, and Valhalla made a dashing squire. She couldn't help but think that Babylon's new rank was the most surprising of all, the short boy having somehow jumped from page to knight since their last assembly.
She had taken a seat beside Chibimoon, as if that could somehow justify the pink-haired senshi's presence at this meeting. Europa meant to take responsibility for her guest and to make sure that the temporally-displaced princess was treated courteously. Although she had no plans to try and bend the rest of the Jovians to swearing fealty, she knew that certain members of the court had a history of distrusting monarchs of any capacity, and she didn't want this encounter to be a repeat of Chronos or Castor. Chibimoon was a valuable source of information and a powerful ally, not to mention a cherished friend.
"Europa, of the Jovian Court," she introduced herself, standing as Ganymede finished his line of query. "As this is a mixed meeting with some potential members present, I think we would do well to outline what we stand for, so that they may decide whether they want to continue to associate with us. For example, if someone cannot agree with protecting life wherever possible..."
She nodded to Valhalla, thinking that the rest of this went without saying. Europa had never killed, had no plans to kill... and frankly, having seen the results of what could happen when senshi became too ruthless, she didn't want to associate with anyone willing to adopt the tactics that had lead to the Blood Moon's corruption. Glancing at Ganymede, she wished that telepathy was included in the host of powers that came with senshidom, so that she could potentially reassure him.
Europa took her seat again and flashed Chibimoon a tight-lipped smile. She knew she hadn't introduced her guest, but there would be a better moment. She had no doubts of that.
-------
Across the roof, Babylon had found himself a comfortable place between Vindemiatrix and Lina. The addition of so many unfamiliar senshi left him, strangely, feeling more secure in his position as a member of the court, while Lina's presence to his left had him in an eager-to-impress mood. He had invited the bluenette Mercury knight here out of pride in the team, but also on the basis that she might know valuable information - about past lives, about the Negaverse-
After all, who better to talk about the Negaverse than a former general?
Hopping to his feet with a nimbleness that belied his stocky frame, Babylon bowed ostentatiously to the assembled group, his hard-earned fur cape sweeping out behind him. He was fully aware that he looked like he'd just walked out of an episode of Game of Thrones. he meant to use it to his advantage.
"Babylon Knight of Mercury," he said, a note of pride accenting the statement of rank. "Of the Jovian court." No one had yet given him any reason why a knight of Mercury shouldn't be allowed to toss their lot in with the Jovians, and until someone presented a completely convincing reason, he was going to keep his lot where it was. At any rate, the only person he might even consider deferring to on the matter was Lina, and she'd thus far seemed okay with his affiliation.
"I, uh, agree with the whole protecting life thing," he added, shrugging to Valhalla. "I mean, if we start splitting hairs it's really easy to go from 'Everyone but the Negaverse' to 'Senshi and Knights Only' to one or the other and then how are we better than those fascist bastards?" Because, honestly, it was pretty easy to think of the Negaverse as a cross between the Men in Black and the Nazis, with the addition of pretty whacked out superpowers.
"With risk of sounding like a broken record, I'm also going to second the new folks telling us a little more about themselves. Like, maybe how they found out about this little shindig?" He could sort of vaguely guess who was associated with whom, based on how they'd seated themselves, but it couldn't hurt to get the information in the clear.

It had taken much convincing to get out of the house when there were ample chores to do, but the moment she received the text message, Sailor Tsui was suited up and ready to abandon her civilian duties. After all, her messy room and rat cage would be waiting for her when she returned, as well as an angry older sister, but Tsui was hardly concerned.
It didn't take the Senshi of Tigers long to find the joint, and she was actually able to sneak by without being noticed, or so she thought. The young Senshi could barely contain her excitement, refusing to take a seat and looking around at all of the other Senshi, knights and cats that were present, not once noticing food. Why bother with food when there were so many new faces? It was certainly the last thing on her mind.
'So, this is the Jovian group, huh?' Tsui thought to herself, taking her time to look at every single one and trying to put them all into memory. She regretted not bringing her sketchbook with her, as a lot of their outfits and overall appearances were certainly inspirational. She might not have looked it, but she was paying attention to everything that was being said, looking at the speakers and every so often to Kallichore, the only Senshi she knew before this meeting as an anchor so that she wouldn't get lost. 'They look like a formidable bunch. The Zoo could learn a lot from these guys...'
She might not have brought her sketchbook but she was keeping mental notes, certain she'd remember all of the key details. Valhalla's speech about no death and violence, however, struck her as confusing, but she held her silence, for now. With the way that Sailor Remarque talked about the DMC, was peace even POSSIBLE with the enemy?
When attention was brought to the newcomers, Tsui felt that it was her chance to speak up, and without warning, she leapt to her feet. It was an overly enthusiastic effort to make her 'entrance' memorable, and Tsui knew she was more or less trying to show off, but she was just too excited to contain herself. Without checking to see if all eyes were drawn upon her, she stood (as tall as she could) and introduced herself, ignoring how her voice seemed to echo back at her in the auditorium.
"I'm Sailor Tsui, Senshi of Tigers, and I come as a friend of Sailor Kallichore and a representative of the White Court group, the Zoo, for my leader Sailor Draconis." Tsui said, almost winded by the end of that sentence and letting it be known with how she almost slouched over. "That's a mouthful."
She recovered quickly enough, though, and she did her best to put forth nothing but confidence and spunk, something that she hoped would leave a good impression on such a large group. "I'm not sure how much Kallichore's told you about me, but I'm pretty new to this gig. But I think I know enough to know that I'm on the right side of this war, and if you need an ally, Sailor Tsui and the rest of the Zoo would be glad to offer that backup."
Tsui wasn't sure what else to say in the matter, so she stepped back and looked around; she was new herself, so she had no idea how to pick out a newcomer from the veterans. Except maybe look for a completely confused expression on their faces, perhaps...

Zirconia accepted her invite with measured reluctance, but she still appeared. Unlike her original adventure to a Jovian meeting, she didn't arrive with a heavy cloud of doom hanging over her head, but it was definitely a heavy cloud of something.
The large forest cat was aloof as always, yellow eyes narrowly watching the others in the vicinity from as much of the 'back' as felt comfortable creeping along. She'd been somewhat in hiding. Not unreachable, but anti-social, as things settled down to as normal as they would get, and she felt like what few people skills she had had rusted away to nothing. Certainly not present enough to prompt her to greet anyone by far. There were people present she hadn't seen in too many months, and she was magnetically drawn to paw at their legs and hair and reacquaint their clothes with lavender cat hair, but there were also strangers and people rather low on her good will so she considered it a wash, and remained rooted to the spot she chose.
Her fluffy tail flicked back and forth behind her as a few introductions happened. Who did she represent? At first she wondered if it was Blood Moon Court, but she also figured the atmosphere could get quite chilly if it was said out loud. Their last meeting ended with her agreeing to assist in their issue of PR, but she wasn't stupid. Parallel Court was a cruel joke. Zirconia the free agent just sounded silly.
For now, she remained Zirconia, the quiet yellow eyes observing from the back, radiating seriousness and possibly irritating allergies. (It is the peak of shedding season, after all.)

Tomlin had a good feeling about the meeting. As far as he was aware, there was no disaster looming, no emergency – just the team’s desire to be a team, and that alone was enough to bring a curving smile to his face. He found it comforting to see them all together, so many senshi gathered by the fading light of quite a beautiful sunset, and many of them eternal. Though the new faces pleased him just as much, because it meant that those that were being awakened were finding a place to go, and hopefully belong.
The ginger cat had an almost festival air to him, striped tail held high as he wove between trailing ribbons and pretty heels to check on the familiar Jovians, and sniff out the newcomers, both visiting dignitaries and potential recruits. He was open to petting, but made no move to introduce himself, as he had already located Kallichore’s snack pile, and was dragging a small plastic package along by the corner, occasionally dropping it and batting it in front of him like a toy. It was for Callisto, since he wasn’t sure she’d go and get anything herself before it was all gone. Though in the meantime, the plastic wrapping was getting rather thoroughly chewed along one edge while he listened to the discussion and worked his way back to his place.
Nodding along to the speechmaking, he felt a vague sense of pride in them all. He’d done very little for the court himself, still spending much of his time keeping watch over his own senshi, but he felt strongly for them all, and their ideals were his. There were still so many he hadn’t caught up with yet, he thought. There were just so many. Perhaps after the meeting.

Ganymede switched his glance over to Europa and shrugged. It might look a little careless, any maybe it was, but he was also trying to relieve some tension in his shoulders instead of continuing to stand there wound up so tightly. “Giving them an outline is one thing. I don't have anything against that at all. Making actual decisions on how the court should function, when some of us haven’t even really had the chance to discuss things like that between each other before, is another thing entirely,” he said, doing his best not to sound as strained as he felt. “I can’t imagine things like that would be very thrilling for our guests anyway. That’s all I meant.”
Perhaps once he knew who the new faces were, what they were doing there, and how they viewed the war and their place in it—or even what they expected out of the Jovians—he’d feel a bit better about the idea, but for now he preferred to be cautious and hold off on all the important decision-making. So far he wasn’t getting any bad vibes from anyone. If that continued, he’d likely be a little more open about the idea once the initial introductions had passed.
He went back to observing the strangers once he’d explained himself, shifting the slightest bit closer to Valhalla. He watched as the girl Kallichore had apparently invited stood to her feet to make her own introduction, pleased to have at least one answer to the question of who the hell some of these people were.
“The Zoo?” he wondered, his brow quirking curiously. “I’ve never heard of them.”
Ganymede paused, realized his statement could have seemed rather dismissive, and quickly backtracked to try and smooth things over. “Er... not that… I mean, I’m not trying to make light of it or minimize their importance or… or anything like that. I was just never sure how many teams are really out there. I think I’ve only ever heard of two others, and I’ve only knowingly encountered one of them that I can remember. Hell, I’m not even sure how many senshi are out there. For the most part, the people here tonight are all I’ve ever really known.”
He took a moment to wonder if that was a bad thing, but quickly decided he preferred it that way. He looked at it as he would the choice between having more than a dozen acquaintances or just having a few really close friends. In either situation, he’d pick the latter.

It was hard not to bring all of her attention to Sailor Ganymede, even before he spoke up, and Tsui forced herself to look at his face, as his attire would threaten to consume her every thought and make her regret not bringing her sketchbook along with her. In truth, she wasn't all that upset at his words and what he was implying. She explained, facing him completely to show her respect and perhaps sounding a little too enthusiastic, even to her own ears. "Well, from what I recall, we're pretty new and still filling in the ranks. That's what Sailor Draconis has set off to do, last I checked, and I've been patrolling the streets and keeping an eye on Negaverse and DMC activities."
Then, she added in, her voice dropped a little and almost falling into a mumble. "With some successes and failures... heh..." She raised her voice again, more or less taking her bow and preparing to take a seat once more, so that other newcomers could introduce themselves as well (not that she'd know who they were, but she still needed to be nice). "It's great to meet all of you! So, I'm here to help, whatever way that can be."
With that, she took her seat behind Kallichore, looking to her as a younger sibling would look at their elder one with a look of approval. Now she waited for the others to introduce themselves, all the while trying to take in the seriousness that Europa, Valhalla, Ganymede and Babylon had expressed thus far. It was so heavy... how long had this war been going on, and what was she getting herself into?

The Senshi of Shame was even more reluctant than usual to take the spotlight at this meeting, even if only for a moment to introduce herself. After what had happened during the second trip to her moon, she had not donned her fuku. She had been too afraid at first because of the dream, because of the connection she felt growing between her and that distant pink sphere. Her parents had not complained about her lack of staying after school late, for the increasing steadiness of her grades... but the Crystal Academy student was aware of what (and more importantly, who) she was neglecting in return.
When the message had come from Kallichore announcing the meeting, she did not hesitate. She packed away her readings and grabbed her purse; it had been so long since she had gone out for such a purpose that she actually had to double check that her henshin pen was, in fact, in there. The words to change into Super Sailor Pasiphae, however, had come far more easily, and the trip to the roof of the auditorium had been no problem at all. The small group of Senshi that greeted her upon arrival made her heart swell. Chris, Paris, Christa, Tallulah... she had not seen them in so long. Babylon--a Knight now!--, Tomlin, and Zirconia she had missed as well, although she had not realized how much until she glimpsed them again.
She had to maintain some sense of decorum, however, and devolving into happy tears would not do any of them any good. So, she took a deep breath and began her own introduction, "I am Super Sailor Pasiphae, Senshi of Shame and member of the Jovian court... but please, just call me Pasiphae. I don't really... have that much more to add to what has been said. I... don't want to hurt anyone; I want to protect people, to save people. I think... I think that's something we all share...."
Pasiphae rubbed at her eyes as her voice faltered away. She had been gone too long. She was grateful for the finery that hid her--with a mountain of bead and pearl, silver and lace, who would concentrate on the girl beneath it? Still, she forced herself to smile, and even if the expression was not strong, the sentiment there and in her voice were genuine, "I... I'm glad, really glad, to see everyone again. To meet you, Tsui, and to meet anyone else who's new. I've not missed the war, but... I've missed you, all my old friends. And... well... I'll call the others new friends, if they'll have me."
Many seemed to want to stand, but the Shame Senshi wanted only to make herself smaller. She knelt slowly before arranging her skirt to allow her to sit with some modesty. From this vantage point, she looked up to the others around her. Her expression was open, and her gaze attentive. She wanted to be here--needed to be here--but she would be the first to stress how little the meeting needed her. (Besides, someone had to be on the same eye level as their feline guests, not to mention the new Senshi of Tigers who had taken a seat behind Kallichore.)

Tsui was always eager to meet new people, and her golden eyes flew to the soft voice of Pasiphae when she addressed her. Always one to speak her mind, Tsui called to the other Senshi, taking the time to admire her attire and finding her artistic muse, as small as it may be, going absolutely HAYWIRE in wanting to sketch what she had seen on her fuku. "You're so soft spoken for someone who dresses so elegantly! I really love the lace!"
The Senshi of Tigers knew that it was unprofessional, even a tad bit rude, to say what was on her mind, but she couldn't help but feel envious of the other Senshi's attire. Between her and Kallichore, Tsui felt as if she had received the short end of the stick when it came to their fuku, and she wondered if there was, perhaps, a Senshi of Fashion that could help her out in that department. 'For a Senshi of Tigers, I don't really have any stripes... maybe I need to earn them?'
Tsui settled back down, trying to push aside her feelings of envy and excitement she felt. So many Senshi, knights and cats! She was determined to learn the names of all of them someday, starting with the one she had just complimented.

Valhalla forced his eyes closed to keep himself from rolling them at Babylon's emphasis on his rank. He hated that he knew that if it had been anyone other than Babylon, he wouldn't have cared. But no matter how much he tried to get along with the other knight, there was always something about him that grated on his nerves. Even when the guy was agreeing with him!! Maybe he was just jealous? Who knew... He definitely didn't!
Instead, he settled with rolling his shoulders back, as if that would relieve some stress, and ended up knocking his hand against Ganymede's side due to their close proximity. He opened his eyes and gave the senshi an apologetic look, moving his arm behind Ganymede to give him some support if he wanted it.
Of course, any and all of his frustrations easily melted away at the sound of Pasiphae's voice, and he glanced her way in appreciation. She was too kind... and they needed more people like her in the world. Hell, he was happy to see Zirconia as well. That meant that Zia was safe. Despite not being able to talk to her as often as he'd like, knowing that she was okay... still around... not lost among those consumed by chaos... that was enough for him.
After a few more minutes of the guests not offering their names, Valhalla decided to move on, hoping they wouldn't be too offended that the meeting kept going.
"So... protection of all life sound good?" he wondered. "I don't want to fight a Dark Mirror Senshi any more than I want to see one of us getting hurt."
"Sorry I'm late... Did I miss anything?"
Although he'd received a text for the meeting via Ganymede, Sessrumnir didn't exactly drop everything to make his way over to the library. Nope, he'd been in the middle of finishing up grading his students' projects. And drinking. Because he couldn't get through all the errors without at least something to keep him mellowed.
In fact, he decided that when he did show up, he might as well have some with him. He had a can of beer in one hand, and about nine left in the once full twelve pack he had in his other hand. "Anyone care for a drink?" he wondered, flashing a grin to those he knew, and a wink in Pasiphae's direction. Yeah, he knew most of them were probably underage, but he doubted they all had their IDs with them for him to check.

Europa could get onboard with protecting life as they knew it, but she still bristled visibly at Valhalla's mention of the dark mirror senshi. It was a touchy subject, and quite honestly Europa wasn't even sure if she even considered them to count as being alive. She didn't think Chibimoon had, when she said that Ares had no fire, only smoke. Whatever was running around with her cousin's body and powers now certainly wasn't her cousin anymore.
The senshi of the deep bit down on her lip momentarily, not quite hard enough to draw blood, and then focused her attention elsewhere. Arguing over whether or not the Dark Mirror was a court made up of voodoo zombies from beyond the stars wasn't her intent. "It's great to see everyone again," she agreed, flashing a weak smile all around. "So many new frills of power, and, um, so many new faces."
To Tsui, she added, "Just because we've never heard of your group before doesn't mean we can't cooperate with them, as long as their objectives are in line with our own - right?" She was really trying to be democratic about all this policy making. It was hard. Tallulah Cowden had spent the first sixteen years of her life pretending other people didn't have opinions, and now Europa was trying to undo that by working exclusively from how other people felt. It was only-child syndrome and it was dying hard. "Anyway, it's nice that you've come. Good to meet you."
At least there was something positive to focus on! The court was growing stronger - it took both hands to count who had leveled up since their last interaction. (some of them had leveled up twice!) As dismal as she'd been feeling over the state of the Dark Mirror, at least this gave her something to be happy about.
"I think I can... agree... on that," she said, gulping as she turned back to Valhalla. It didn't bear to mention that the usually non-violent Europa would be the first in line to punch Ares or Leto in the face. (Although she thought Chibimoon might fight her for the distinction.)
"Just introductions," Europa supplied, eyes flicking towards Sessrumnir. "I wasn't sure we could expect you to come. Does this mean you're accepting the invitation to join, or are you just scoping things out...?"
At which point Babylon shouted, "Yes, thank you!" in a tone of voice that indicated he had just accepted Sessrumnir as his personal lord and savior, and descended upon the case of beer. He was obviously underage, twenty years old and he still looked hardly older than Vindemiatrix (truthfully three years his junior, although they never talked about it). So much for the dignity of his rank.
"I thought saving the world and, uh, protecting the innocent was part of the job description," he said, returning to his seat. He handed one beer off to the senshi beside him (obviously underage!) and opened the other for himself.
"This is sort of a knight-specific thing," he added, possibly needling. "But did you guys ever go to your wonders?"
Yup. Definitely needling.

Ganymede had just settled cozily into Valhalla’s side, intent on remaining there while the discussion continued and others made their introductions, when the arrival of another power signature caught his attention and he turned to see Sessrumnir arrive.
“Me! Me! I want one!” he announced, extricating himself from Valhalla’s arm without so much as a glance in apology as he made his way over to the other newly-made squire to grab himself a beer. “Thanks a bunch. You’re a life-saver. Oh, uh, this is Sessrumnir,” he said for the benefit of those who might now know, “Squire of Jupiter, if you couldn’t tell by all the green and fancy fours. He’s technically not one of us, but I’ll vouch for him anyway.”
He probably should have felt a bit more guilty for drinking around his boyfriend when he knew Val didn’t approve, but with so many people around and under such a strained atmosphere Ganymede could use a little encouragement to mellow out a bit. Even if he didn’t trust any of these new people yet, he didn’t want to risk snapping at them and starting another dramatic argument.
If he could get along with Kallichore, he told himself, then he could get along with these other people, too.
Beer in hand, the eternal senshi returned to Valhalla and decided that making himself a little more comfortable might help to ease the stress a bit. He copied both Tsui and Pasiphae—whom he showed a small smile—and sat down, curling his legs beneath him, reaching up to give Val’s tunic a tug to encourage him down as well.
“We’ve been to Valhalla,” he answered Babylon’s question in his boyfriend’s place, looking between the two with amusement. “Creepy place. Really big. Probably some kind of fortress. Lots of thunder and lightning and magical things. I’d like to see someone try to break into it on their own. Speaking off…” he paused to look around the circle of senshi and knights, paying special attention to the ones he knew to have been at the Surrounding, “I haven’t noticed much DMC activity lately. Not since that whole fiasco,” and at this point he waved an arm up at the night sky, “so I guess it might have been worth all the trouble. Or they’re just lying low and biding their time with the Negaverse plotting more dark and evil deeds. And on that note, I would like to add that I would prefer there be no killing of any kind, or else we’re not any better than they are. Killing seems to be a good way to get on the fast track toward evil, if you ask me.”

Pasiphae was shocked to hear Tsui address her, and she waved her hands as though doing so would keep the prasies off of her, "Oh, thank you, but... um, I mean, your fuku looks very functional and comfortable too. And your jewel is very striking, with the orange." Her smile was shy, but genuinely friendly.
When her attention turned back to the meeting, however, she had to think about what Valhalla had suggested. Not fight the Dark Moon? After what they had done to Europa, Kallichore, and Zirconia? After what they had done to the innocent lives up in the Surrounding? She didn't want to kill them, certainly; she didn't want to hurt them necessarily. But not fight at all? She wasn't sure--
Then Sessrumnir was there with a wink on his face and a tease in his voice, as ever. Pasiphae was not shocked when Babylon took a drink (since he had thrown her such a beverage in a prior party) and not overly surprised when Paris took one as well. She half-frowned in disapproval, but... well, as long as she didn't have to drink one, who was she to tell them not to do so? If they were old enough to fight in space, then they were old enough for beer. {They most assuredly not including her own underaged self, of course.)
The conversation about knights was a little hard to follow, as she knew very little about them. She tried to keep herself small, smiling at Valhalla when he glanced her way and in return of Ganymede's own smile, but Europa was greeting the new Tsui, emissary of the Zoo, and all of that was so much more important. It was enough to be here, to be welcomed after disappearing for so long when she knew she didn't deserve it. She had to agree with the Lust Senshi, however, and echoed his words, "I've been... gone, but I haven't seen much activity either." Her stance on killing she felt she did not have to repeat; she had really said all she could tihnk of, for now, and was more ready to listen to others voice their feelings.
