Tirokio
It was only a few, glorious days he'd been large and confident enough to venture out of the protective confines of his basket to be able to venture the herd lands. At the current there weren't a whole lot of foals around that he knew of spending the first few days with his immediate family. His father, a massive angeni of knowledge began early to teach him what he would need to know to make it in the word...and the boy was a sponge. His mother taught him kindness, tender and caring so he would turn out to be a lovely stallion. He couldn't have asked for better parents, especially ones who loved each other enough to transcend even their own species constraints. He had been told he was a gift from a star, and although he didn't quite get just how he came into existence; he knew he was born out of love and that was good enough for him.

With a day 'off' sort to speak, he was allowed to go explore the lands his herd had built, various buildings and wells had encompassed the main gathering built by his father's human hands when he transformed, but was allowed to wander a little farther today. He had ventured off to the gardens, not the vegetable one his mother currently resided in but the one filled with flowers cultivated by the Amachi family from the various traveling they had did to cart goods. Other than playing with his estranged adopted brother Darius, whom he thought his 'scary' looks were nothing but awesome; he hadn't a chance to pay with anyone else. "Beautiful..." He breathed as he passed a mass gathering of lilac bushes, leaning his cream nose to smell their spring inspiring scent, his own tail of black and blue flicking back and forth.

While the fresh newborn was out exploring his new world, another already well experienced foal was following a ritual of her own. Coming from a very large lineage, there were always plenty of other horses for her to interact with, and mingle. She'd learned a great deal from all of them as well. Especially those that were older. Her elder siblings would visit from time to time, bringing stories, and small gifts such as bells, or other trinkets that made very pleasing sounds to the ear. But a lot of the time, when she wasn't being swarmed by her fellow 'littermates', Fermata liked to take some time for herself to explore a little of the grounds on her own. Particularly the area's more lush with vegetation, tree's primarily, as they held many birds with beautiful songs to sing, to which she enjoyed joining in with. Prancing daintily along the untamed grass, liking the way it brushed against her gold painted legs, the filly made her way from her grazing family to take to her common hang out. However... in her path was a new addition, that she'd not seen before. Stopping short, humming ceasing, her bright red eyes blinked curiously at the sight of the younger colt. Ears twitching forward, a broad smile began to grow on her lips. Perhaps a new friend to play with! Lifting her head high, she continued her stride, "Hello there!" she whinnied merrily, trotting right up to her fellow youngster, peeking at the flowers he seemed interested in, "I've never seen you before!" she chimed further, intrigue laced in her tone, eyes darting along him at his various designs.

So lost in his thoughts about the most wonderful smelling flora did he even take notice to the company which had also entered the surroundings along with him. It wasn't like he had much to worry about on their lands; well protected by the Angeni of their growing family as well as his brother, not many wanted to mess with a mutant even if he was particularly harmless. However when he felt his body jolt as the body striding up beside him and such a merry voice in his ear he turned with golden eyes wide with startle...until he noticed familiar colouring. "H-Hello!" He stammered momentarily, a trait of his father sometimes picking up on his vocals. "I...I have never seen you before either; but you do look like Mecho and Melody...you must be a daughter!" Teo' smiled, remembering the heads of the Amachi family paying him a visit shortly after he had popped; since his parents were godparents to many of the Amachi children and vice versa. Feeling his mother's teachings remind him sternly he was being impolite he dropped his head in a quick bow, closing his wise eyes and speaking quickly. "S-sorry to be so rude, I am Teo'xihuitl, son of Ikinya and Cuauhcoatl. You can call me Teo' though!" Oh how wonderful! A friend! Even if she was a part of their large herd family; she was the very first out of his immediate family he had met and he already liked the boundless energy she possessed. Although he hoped it wasn't too bold of him to say so, his excitement simply couldn't be contained even behind a gentle stutter. "W...would you b-be my friend!?"

The filly perked up as well from the clear shock the colt held, making her head jerk back slightly, and look to his face curiously. Smile still in tact, her short tail twitched to and fro, giggling lightly from the response she received, "How did you know that?" she asked, eyes widening in surprise. Perhaps he was a mind reader! "You've met my parents? How come I haven't met you then?" why wouldn't her parents introduce her to a new foal! It meant a new playmate! Smiling all the more, she watched him and his seemingly flustered antic's. Ah so he had manners as well! To be as equally polite, she mimicked his gesture, curling a little hoof and giving a curtsy, "It's nice to meet you, Teo! I'm Fermata! And you already know my parents!" more giggles bubbled up from her, before she gave a little prance around him for a better look. He did look sort of familiar... but she couldn't quite put a hoof on it. Returning before him, she was even further surprised by his question. Be friends? His bashfulness made her lower her head to press noses with him, "Of course I will!" she sang.

Tirokio
Folding his ears back he pondered if it was rude of him to just assume she was, even though he wasn't wrong. It was unmistakeable, considering the pair had such unique colouring and well, he did catch glimpses of the many Amachi faces even though he was too busy under father's studies to properly meet them as of yet. "They came to see me when I was just 'popping' as they call it; my parents weren't sure what to expect so I was just with immediate family up until today...they'd only heard of legend of the wishing star but never actually seen something come from it!" He laughed lightly, not really considering himself anything out of the ordinary. "But I guess they wanted to make sure I was healthy coming from a star and not from a mare!" Reasonable by all means but still, he moved to try and watch her as she pranced around him; nearly tripping over his own legs in the process as he stumbled. "F-fermata? Its nice to meet you too! Not very well mind you...they just came to say Hi and speak with my parents." Needless to say, he was happy when she stopped and stood before him again....this way he wouldn't make a fool of himself in front of her. When she had pressed her nose on his he looked at her cross-eyed for a moment, almost afraid she would say no but to his delight it was quite the opposite! "Oh good!" He exclaimed with a breath of relief, grinning like crazy. "I was hoping this exploring business would lead me to some friends and it worked!" Teo was beside himself, friends! Wouldn't his parents be proud! "Do you have lots of friends, Fermata?" The colt asked curiously, knowing the filly was older than him and this had more time under her belt to make friends.

Listening diligently to the her fellow foal, she gave a few understanding nods. So he was still new to the world! It was a little exciting to know that she was one of the first he'd met outside of his family. Beaming confidently, she waggled her stubby tail about, not really understanding all this star talk, "Well it's very nice to meet you too, Teo! I wish my parents had told me about you, then we coulda been friends sooner!" she piped up, giggling again; certainly something common for her. With their friendship established, it made the already bright spirited filly all the more excited. "Well being as nice as you are, you'll have no problem making friends, Teo! I just know it!" she announced with great certainty. With his question, her ears flicked forward, and her head tilted, "Hmmmm.. I have a few! But not a lot of them stick around." suddenly she perked up, "Oh! But I have lots of bird friends! They're so pretty, and they have beautiful voices! Do you want to see?" she asked eagerly, tail just a burr, eyes shimmering as she looked to the other expectantly.

Teo' stopped and blinked for a moment, a little confused by her excited words. How could they have been friends sooner? He had only met her now? However he did suppose if her parents had said so like the mentioned sooner he may have met her sooner? Yet he wouldn't have been able to ask her to be his friend like he just had; but even so he maybe was putting just a little too much thought into it. "Do you really think so? I do hope so, mother says friends are very important!" Teo could already see why, he was having bundles of fun and they hadn't even done anything yet! "How come they don't stay? You're a delight!" He spoke with urgency, looking a little concerned why they didn't stay nor understood why. "Well...I'll stay! I promise! I mean...we are in the same herd so its a bit of a given but still!" Oh wait, new topic...this was fast! His eyes lit up at the mention of birds, he did admire father's spirit sister Xochi in her feathered glory. "Birds! I love birds! I would love to see these little friends of yours!" The spotted colt gaped, his legs feeling itchy in eager to run and frolic with his new found friend.

musicaloner7
Fermata couldn't help but beam brightly at Teo's compliments, head lifting higher, and tail twitching restlessly. "I'm not sure! I guess they're busy!" she chirped back, not thinking too much of it. "They aren't in the herd, so maybe they can't see me as much. Have to stay with their own, perhaps? But I'll hopefully see them again!" positivity was pretty much in always the filly's tone and attitude. The promise made by the colt made her brighten all the more, "That's so nice of you, Teo! You should come spend the night some time! You can listen to my mama and papa and brothers stories, and tales! And you can join in our music circles!" chiming merrily by now, she trots a little in place due to the building excitement. "Oh please say you will! It will be so much fun!" she always wanted to have a friend to do all sorts of things with! And this foal seemed just the right type to fill that spot! "Oh good! Then let's go, let's go!" she sing-songs, nosing him playfully once more before turning to trot a little ways off, peeking over her shoulder to make sure he was following. The birds weren't too far off, just a little into the lush forest nearby!

Tirokio
Teo flicked his ears and made a guttural humm, thinking about how hard it would be if he did make friends outside the herd, he wasn't really fond of being so far away from the family...especially after hearing the skin walker story from his mother and how there may be a grudge against the family. "I hope you do see them again at any rate.." The colt smiled, his hair flopping into his eyes slightly before she eagerly offered him to sleep over. "Spend...the night?" Teo had never had a sleep over before, what did it all entail? He knew sleeping of course, but when she spoke of stories, tales and music circles his eyes widened as he shuffled his hoof over the grass a moment. "That does sound wonderful...but I'm-m afraid I don't know anything about music...I could watch though?" He knew his mother had old tribal dances and chants from her homeland, but no one in his family really....danced. That really was from what he told the Amachi's family legacy and that they were simply beautiful dancers. "However, after we go see your friends we can go ask my momma if I can!" Teo beamed, rearing back at the nudge as he followed shortly in a prance behind Fermata, hoping the birds would be a pleasant as the filly was. "Yeah! Lets go!"

musicaloner7
Her smile didn't seem to falter, even grew just a touch with a nod to follow, "I'm sure I will, once I'm bigger! Then I can venture out on my own, like my other family members do!" she chimed blissfully. After all, hearing the stories from his older siblings had her interested on what was out there! As if a little lost in thought, the filly looked off wistfully, tiny tail twitching from time to time... til she snapped back into the present, looking back to her current company. Her attention had mostly been grasped by the response he gave, a soft gasp catching in minute surprise... before breaking into the brightest smile she could muster, "I can teach you music! No problem!" she practically sang! She might have been born a virtuoso, but there still had been quite a bit, and still even more, that she had to learn! It would certainly work for him just the same, "Yes! That's a good idea~!" a playful nosing was given to his again, with a giddy giggle. She'd always wanted to have a sleep over! Living in a large herd, the more company, the merrier! Fermata lead him with ease and grace that was practiced by all members in her family. She lead him through the pretty flowers, giving a light sniff to them once in awhile, before going further into the thick forest that lined the area. It was loud with both birds and insects, lush with floor vegetation, and towering canopy's. Peeking over her shoulder from time to time, she'd give a smile to her new pal to make sure he was keeping up, before looking forward again to continue on their way. It wasn't too long when they reached a small clearing that held a lavish amount of flowers all crowding the base of a grand tree that itself already held heavy dressing of leaves and a mixture of fruits and flowers. Looking up, she gave a little whistle to mimick the birds that were perched up above. A few paused in their lovely songs to peek down, and eventually flit down to lower ledges, peering at the duo. Blue tail flicking again, she giggled at how cute the small song-birds were, their curiosity getting the better of them as she replied to their song with another whistle. This time, they flittered even lower to perch onto her head. Sporting the colourful bird, a wren of sorts, the filly looked back to present him to Teo, "Aren't they pretty? "

Tirokio
Although he tried his best to keep up with her pace, a little thankful that she would check back on him from time to time as they went he found his eyes widening as his sheepish smile returned tenfold. "T...Teach? I bet you're amazing but I dunno...I don't really think I can carry a tune!" Even at her whimsical sing song voice he didn't think he could do it, although he did love to listen to it especially the Swahili lullabies his mother sang to him. "Well its settled, we'll ask later!" The colt smiled, warm and inviting as he followed diligently. Through the flowers and the and through the fauna as the forest began to densify, he found his eyes looking more on his surroundings more and more than the path ahead - it was a miracle he hadn't fallen on his face. Once they had reached the clearing the colt stopped in his trail as he gaped a the large beautiful tree, flowers, thick leaves and fruit of all things! Walking as if in a daze he neared the tree, only looking back to Fermata when she began to whistle; and paused their songs to fly down on her head. Teo' was in shock, to say the least at how in tune she was with her friends...he was almost afraid to move least he be the one to scare them away. "That's amazing, Fermata. They're very pretty...you sing just like them." The colt smiled, his black and blue tail swaying ever so slowly behind him.

musicaloner7
Her alert ears swiveled back, and then forward, eyes widening at Teo's admittance. Can't carry a tune? "Of course you can!" she piped up in reply, turning back around to give him an encouraging nosing, "I'll show you how, k? Don't worry! For now, birds!" she chimed merrily, turning back towards the grand tree. As her little bird friends took their time to landing on her one by one, she gave a few low whistles, making the sweet birds nuzzle against her, and groom the tuft of hair between her eyes. Looking over at Teo, she gave a winning smile. His reaction was delightful! Giggling happily, her tail gave a consistent twitching behind her, "They are aren't they?" she cooed, mostly to make the birds more comfortable. A few hopped down her long snout to perch on her muzzle, watching Teo curiously, twittering at him. Smiling more, she walked closer to him, so their noses pressed together, allowing the birds to cross over to him with ease; like a bridge! "Do you know how to whistle, Teo?" she asked curiously, another bird perching on her ear. But in a natural reaction, it flicked, and the bird adjusted to settle on her mane instead.
