Wana had found his name, sure, but did he actually want to go back to the pride. The out side beckoned him to search further for a cause. No, the swamps were not a bad place to be at all. But the swamps had sheltered him his entire life and now he was on the look out for something new. Something bigger. It felt like the moment he'd shed his name, he shed his pride as well.
Maybe thats why Wana now found him self lurking about the area he'd once met that one female. Possibly at the very least he just wanted to bump in to her again and hear stories about how her pride was possibly the greatest ever. Wana wasn't sure if he completely believed her but he did like her enthusiasm and positively wonderful bubbliness. So that was why he lurked now as if he was a shadow in the grasses. This was totally not stalkerish at all. Nope.
However instead of finding that girl, he found an old zebra. It was just all alone which meant that it had probably separated from its herd on purpose to come and met death. Wana would more then happily help that zebra in death. Slowly, he crept forward towards the old thing. It didn't seem to notice death was just a brush away.

She wasn't out here hunting again. At least, not with a hunting party. No, Gowe left the pride today to do some scouting of her own so she could tell the head huntress where the herds had moved to. She didn't have to exert herself and put too much thought into things. Rubbing her face with a dusty paw, the brown and teal lioness moved silently away from her pride. Her mind was lazy, like her movements.
However, some movements caught her attention and made her tilt her head. Moving towards them she noticed a zebra, separated from the herd and frowned. Poor thing. Nothing should have to suffer when it was waiting death. From the looks of it, she knew she should help it die. But it also meant the herd had moved on from here to let the zebra die in peace.
Just about the time she was moving closer, she noticed someone else was stalking the zebra. Well, that was something else she wouldn't have to do today. So, Gowe just sat on her haunches and waited. Maybe whoever it was would do this quickly. If she had to, she'd interfere and kill the zebra herself.

Wana was low in the grass and just about close enough to the zebra that he could reach out and touch it if he wanted to. But no, this was the hunt. But something paused him in the middle of his hunt. A figure. Sitting in the distance. Clearly feline and possibly lioness. The whole reason he was here was to find that lioness from earlier again.
So with out thinking the male sat up and gave away his hiding place. The elder zebra noticed and spooked a little. It ran off in a slow trot but didn't go to far. It had come to welcome death after all.
Wana looked to the figure once more before taking off after the zebra. It didn't put up any fight. Wana was able to kill it fast and mercifully. In a matter of moments the entire death was done and over with. Wana licked some of the clotted blood off his chops and turned back to the figure. Was that her? Had she been watching this entire time?

As soon as the male rose up and spooked the zebra, Gowe had gotten out of her position and headed towards it. She was planning on doing what the one had failed to do, but, quick as the zebra spooked, it was dead. Arching a brow, she moved closer at a more cautious pace before she realized it was the male from before. Her face lit up at that and she laughed a little, shaking her head.
"You're not supposed to spook it before you kill it, silly." She stuck her tongue out at him before looking to the zebra. "At least you did it quickly after that. I think it's happy it got a swift death." She nodded at that and then looked around for signs of the heard. She did have to track them down, didn't she? Hunting time was important, so was scouting.
"I didn't think you'd stick around this long! Wana, right?" Her tail thumped against the ground as she sat down, shifting her weight.

It was! It was her! His expression brightened seeing her come closer and he couldn't help but glow just a tad. It was obvious that Wana was happy to see Gowe again.
"Silly? Me? Really your calling ME Silly?" He gave her a teasing grin, "Sticking around? Me?" He took a seat him self and let his tail coil round his front paws. He gave her a small sage nod. "I think I might be yeah. I heard there was this pretty lioness round these parts who had a sense of humor. Know anyone around these parts like that?"

Laughing a little, she saw him light up like she'd done and then shrugged a little. "You're very silly! Spooking the thing before killing it... Pity." She tilted her head a bit more before thinking, licking her muzzle. A pretty lioness with a sense of humor? She tried to hide the smirk that came to her lips, but she couldn't really.
"Oh, I don't know. I think I've heard of her before," Gowe murmured, thinking really hard. "I heard she has teal markings and really likes water. Why are you interested in her? Did she do something nice to you? Did she save your life or somehow make your day better? You sound like you like her." She was teasing him now, her tone clear before she got up and started prancing around him. "Wana's got a crush!"

"I didn't mean to spook it.. " He protested for a moment but then regained his composure quickly.
"Oh .. Yeah it sounds like you know her better then I do. She didn't save my li - " And now he was being teased before he could finish his smooth come on line. He was already being teased. The lions face reddened a bit but there was no denying it.
"I suppose I do have a crush," He gave her a nod and took a step forward. "On a very silly lioness," He gave her a grin.

When he said that her cheeks reddened and she stopped her prancing. She hadn't thought he was serious, but her he was, saying he had a crush.
Watching Wana, Gowe let her brows knit before looking up to the sky and back at him. "Why've you got a crush already? You've only met her once, right?" It wasn't that she didn't have a crush, herself, it's just that she wouldn't have readily admitted it. He was much braver than she was!
"Maybe this lioness likes you to?"

"Hey now. A crush can happen at any point of time," He gave her a teasing smile, "Some times its just a glance and your stuck in a crush. But.. " There was a pause. She'd just said maybe the lioness had a crush her self. Did she really mean it or was she teasing? The lion was having a hard time telling. He swallowed in nervousness.
"R-really? But haven't we just met. Wasn't that what you were saying just now I mean." Oh now it was his turn to tease. There was a bit of a satisfied grin resting on his maw now.
"Gowe's got a crush~" He did a playful twirl. It might have been adorable but currently Wana's muzzle and claws were both caked in zebra blood. It was almost macabre in a way.

The teasing is what caused her to groan and rub at her face with her paw. She ducked her head a little and shrugged before biting down on her lip. "Ah... Stop teasing me!" She said, pushing at him and huffing a little before chuckling. "You're trying to be so cute, but you're really covered in blood! You should wash up before is stains you," she teased, sticking her tongue out at him.
Teasing him got over her own nervousness. "...But.. You said it can happen at any point, right? So ha!"

Wana looked up at the sky a little coy.
"I suppose." He agreed still staring up the sky. "But I guess that means I might have a crush."

She grinned at that and shrugged, tail flicking this way and that before she just looked up as well. "Well, Wana... What should we do about these crushes? Perhaps get to know each other a bit better, hm? So we can be friends before anything else with our crushes. It's not good to start a relationship off of physical attraction. That's what momma always told me."
Her light blue eyes focused on Wana's before flushing a little and looking to her paw. "Right?"

She was right. Physical attraction was not enough after all the two barely knew each other. They were but strangers passing through the hunt. "You have a point," He said finally chewing on the options. "Probably a good idea to get to know each other better." Part of him was slightly disappointed but he knew this was probably the best course of action to go about getting to know Gowe better. "So would you like to escort me to the watering hole?" He gave Gowe a small hopeful smile.

The disappointment was on the male's face, but Gowe didn't know how to make him feel better. She honestly was attracted to him, but she didn't know enough about him to justify a relationship. Her brows knit as she thought about something to make him feel better. So, when he asked his quesiton, Gowe got to her paws and gave a small smile. "Of course I will," her tone was a happy one, but more subdued than usual. She wanted to make him happy.
Moving closer to Wana, Gowe nuzzled into his neck with a soft noise before moving a head of him towards the watering hole. Her whole face was flushed but luckily, her fur was dark and it hid it fairly well. "Come on, then.."

The soft nuzzle took Wana by surprise. He hadn't expected that at all after she had stated they needed to get to know each other better. Still, Wana was not about to complain. As quickly as she'd nuzzled she was gone off ahead. Wana had been in some sort of a trance at the nuzzle still so it took him moments to realize what happened. "H-HEY!" He cried and awkwardly stumbled after her. She was quick.
