 Salem had gotten up early, he licked his mates cheek a little and left her to sleeping, curled around their new eggs, running out to the forest he decided to catch a couple of rabbits for breakfast, a nice warm meal would be nice and after giving birth to their children Iris deserved to have a treat.

 The lick on the cheek woke her just enough to realize that Salem was getting up, and she made a half-asleep little happy churr at the sign of affection before drifting off again. Her tails seem to curl further around the three eggs of their own accord to help cover the spot where Salem had been, and then she was back to dreaming. Amusingly enough, it was a dream about chasing rabbits.

Salem had caught the two rabbits and made his way back to the cave, stopping just once to take a drink of water from the lake before carrying on and, once he got there, he grabbed two large leaves off a near by plant, placed a rabbit on each and skinned them before cutting his mates up into bite sized pieces and dragged it into her before going to get his and dragged it back in to before laying down and smiling at his mate, just watching the beauty of his mate and mother to his children sleep.

And sleep she continued to do for a few minutes before first nose and then ears began to wiggle as she picked up the scent of the rabbit. Slowly she opened her pale pink eyes and smiled at the meal she'd been brought, and then snuggled up to Salem. As much as she could without uncurling from the eggs, at least. "Good morning, love! I didn't know I was getting breakfast in bed~" She licked his cheek and wiggled happily. "You are the sweetest and the most handsome guy ever, you know." She shifted back over just slightly to sniff at the rabbit before daintily nibbling up one of the bites he'd cut up for her.

"Good morning my darling" Salem said as he smiled at his mate and nuzzled her "and you, my darling, are nothing but a beautiful princess" he said as he nuzzled his children a little "and they are going to have the beauty of their mother, I know they will" he said as he took a bite out of his rabbit and savoured the taste before swallowing. "And breakfast in bed is what you should be having every day but the only reason you don't is because the novelty of it will wear off so it is best left for special occasions" he said as she licked her cheek once more "like a day or two after baring our children" he said as he took another bite.

Iris laughed softly, petting the egg that seemed to almost mirror her coloring gently. "Well this one is certainly taking after me, I must say! But I am glad one of them got your lovely green coat. It is far too nice a shade to be ignored." She nuzzled in to him during the rest of what he said and purred in response for a moment before speaking any more. "I should get you breakfast in bed next week then, for taking care of me so well."

"It has" he said as he nodded "and I am glad that one takes after me, the green is such a pretty color" he said, a tad biased but really that was only because one of his favourite colors was green "and this one" he said nuzzling the white egg a little "seems to be the odd one out, not that he or she will be loved less but still" he said as he shook his head "no, no it is your treat, I don't need taking care of, you do, you know I love waiting on you, its fun" he said as he moved closer to the eggs and his mate, not meaning that she couldn't take care of herself, he knew she was able to, it was just that he loved tending to her.

Iris snuggled around all of her eggs happily, nosing at the white one in the middle. She could take a guess at the other two looking similar to the two of them, though with kitsu genetics you could never be sure. This one though, it was going to be quite a surprise to see how it turned out! "They're all going to be lovely."
She nuzzled into Salem then with a happy purr. "If you keep this up I'm going to get spoiled, you know~" She chuckled softly before giving a content sigh. "Who am I kidding, I love being spoiled. You always take such good care of me, it's kind of funny to think about the fact that we met because you slipped and fell in the lake. It's like someone out there tripped you on purpose just for that."

"They are going to be to lovely" he agreed "though I think they will all have their mothers beauty" he said smiling at his mate "and you deserve being spoilt!" He said as he took a bit of his own fish, chewed and swallowed and slightly blushed "well, whats the point in meeting the woman of your dreams normally? Being normal is so last season, it's all the rage for men these days to basically almost end up killing themselves just to meet a woman, it shows how dedicated he is at wanting to er..make a go at the possible relationship. If possible death is shown to a woman through such dedication then hey, she knows that he is a keeper and will do whatever he can for the relationship" he said grining at her, yes it was a stupid excuse but that first meeting wasn't really a great highlight in his life...well, the meeting was, he loved his mate just how it happened wasn't exactly his most favorite moment.
