A few days had gone by and it was about time for the double date of sorts. Shun wasn't really sure what to expect out of this excursion. He had done some research ahead of time and the experiences he witnessed ranged from bliss to terror. In any case, when it was time, he awaited at the school gates for the others to meet with him in the morning. They were going to have to take the train for a short distance. With him, he had his phone of course should they get separated, as well as a bag with some water and snacks. The park no doubt had food of its own, but it didn't hurt to bring some things from home. Just in case the prices were ridiculous or there wasn't anything that appealed to them. Taking in a deep breath, he just waited patiently for the rest of the group to show up.

The date and time had been set, Lizzy and Mac had been notified and Mitsu was readily preparing for their trip unsure what to expect. She had never gone to an amusement park before, she had only read about them in stories as she had told Shun. Or seen them in the few movies she had witnessed but would it be the same?
Regardless she hoped to have fun and was now feeling quite a bit better now that everything was blissfully quiet. Never before had she enjoyed silence so much. The whispers had finally faded away entirely and she hadn't heard a peep in a day or two now.
Slinging her bag over her shoulder she made sure she had her phone, money, and snacks as Shun had suggested. He seemed pretty certain the food there would be pricey so Mitsu was sure to stuff plenty of things in her bag. With everything in tow she headed to the gate to meet up with everyone seeing that Shun was the first to arrive.
"Good morning," Mitsu smiled lightly as she approached, shuffling her bag on her shoulder. Already she was in brighter spirits.

Lizzy was in pretty bright spirits as well, all things considered; as always, after a period of time, the memory that Mac had made her a rather daring promise outweighed all other things that had happened that day and all the days after that. They were meeting up to have fun, although the fact that Shun was involved made her wonder if maybe she could finally see him smile, signaling the end of the world as they know it.
Since she had begun sleeping in her own room again, she went down to the meeting place by herself, dressed casually and with her hair up in a braid so it wouldn't get everywhere. Unlike Shun and Mitsu, however, she didn't think that far ahead. In fact, while she knew that they would have to eat, she didn't think of how expensive the food might be; seeds to spend was probably the thing she brought the most of. Other than her wallet, she only had a camera, a hat, and her eyephone in her bag.
"Mitsu! Shun!" She gave the former an affectionate hug before letting go to take both her hands, lightly swinging it between them, and the latter was given a smile, "Thanks for inviting us along! I've not been to an amusement park since... A very long time ago." You know, when her father was still around and her mother wasn't as busy, "Let's enjoy today, alright?"

A double date.
He'd always been threatened with one, but up until today nothing ever came of it. He really didn't remember even agreeing to go, but it wasn't much of a double date if it was just Lizzy that went. Besides, it would be interesting to see who had been right about Shun; whether he can smile, and if he can? How scary said smile was.
Mac arrived last; he hadn't meant to, but he had some things to take care of this morning. Things in the form of a phone call from his younger sister, who wouldn't take I have to go on a date for an answer. He had dressed pretty much as he always did, save for wearing a simple t-shirt under his jacket instead of a turtle neck; and there was a bird sitting on his head, an old, greying grouchy looking thing that hadn't been out of his room in ages.
"Hey!" He greeted, not making any mention or even apologizing for being slightly late; that just wasn't his way. Lizzy received a little kiss to the top of her head while the other couple only received a lopsided grin and a nod of greeting. "So. Rollercoasters, huh? Can you ghouls even handle coasters?" He teased, and even paused to pointedly stare at Shun as if yeah, that includes you too buddy.

"Good morning," Shun greeted quietly to the girls as they came on by. A glance was merely spared for Mac as he arrived a little later than the others. As far as what Lizzy said, he just nodded quietly. While 'fun' might be something that could potentially elude him, it didn't mean that he might not enjoy the outing regardless.
"I hadn't been to one myself."
Taking Mitsu's hand into his own, he gave it a gentle squeeze before raising an eyebrow at the other reaper's question and look. Did he insinuate that he couldn't handle something like a thrill ride? The wolf girl... he had a feeling was not one to enjoy that sort of thing. Heights and falling and all. But him? He's ran across building tops and willingly made himself free fall at least 50 feet with no issues. A little extra height wouldn't bother him.
And so he just gave Mac a sort of unamused stare.
"Well then, let's get going," he said as he headed towards the train station, "The closest station to the park is four stops away."

"Lizzy!" Mitsu immediately embraced the ghoul before she pulled back to take her hands and swing them. The lycan didn't seem to mind, lightly smiling and enjoying the contact. "I'm glad you could come. I've never been to an amusement park before but in the movies it always seems so fun."
It wasn't too much longer before Mac showed up and Mitsu freed a hand to wave to him in greeting. This was her first outing with the reaper and she could only hope...he didn't act like a jerk.
Opening her mouth to protest Mitsu began with "I can..." Before she trailed off realizing what a rollercoaster would entail. Heights. "N...no...probably not." She mumbled softly, looking a tad embarrassed. It seemed her fear was going to keep her from trying a few things at the park. Hopefully that wouldn't be too much of a set back.
Feeling Shun take her hand Mitsu smiled up at him before looking back at the others. "Ready to go then?" Since it seemed Shun was ready to get the show on the road as they say. "I have food, we can snack on things until we get there."

"Eeeeee! HI WHIP," Lizzy seemed happier to see the bird out and about than to see Mac, mostly because it had been a long time since Mac had taken it out. However, due to height constrains, she could not reach the bird to give it a pet, settling for wriggling her fingers at Whip in a sort of wave. At the kiss, she beamed and tiptoed to lightly kiss him on the cheek, "Hi Mac~"
When Shun took Mitsu's hand, she released the ghoul after giving her hand one last squeeze, shooting a look at her boilfriend, "There's more than just roller coasters in an amusement park anyway!"
Taking Mac's arm, she leaned her head against it, "I've never sat on one... Not that I remember. I've always wanted to go to an amusement park though! So I don't mind trying!" How bad could a roller coaster possibly be, anyway? Tugging the reaper along to walk behind Mitsu and Shun, her smile widened as she giggled in excitement, "I'm so glad you invited us along!"

Whip chirped back at Lizzy, whistling happily from her perch on Mac's hat.
Mac continued grinning away, especially at the look that Shun gave him. Oh yes, today would be fun. He'd enjoy every minute of it! His grin deflated to a smile for a moment, just long enough to focus on Mitsu as she admitted to being unlikely to handle the roller coaster. "That's okay, it's not for everyone." What he left unsaid though, was a mental note to goad Mitsu onto as many coasters as he could until she puked. Hopefully, the ghoul had a strong stomach.
Lizzy too, but as a general rule he was more forgiving to his ghoulfriend.
"Awesome~ I'm sure you'll all have fun. I love coasters...nothin' like 'em." The thrill of being thrown around at top speeds for fun was just amazing! He let Lizzy hold onto his arm, his hands sliding into his jacket pockets for the time being. "Yeah, thanks for inviting us." It was more of an afterthought, but he meant it. somewhat.
"Four stops? Thats actually a lot closer than I thought it was, cool."

Shun actually stared at Mitsu when she almost said she could handle a coaster but then quickly took it back. He would be surprised if she was really willing to ride one. Shaking his head to himself, he just continued to walk along.
"It's not a problem," he shrugged as the others thanked him for the invite. He just hoped that he would be able to put up with Mac during this. Or maybe he could just sort of over look him. Hmmm. This could be interesting. Well, at least Lizzy sounded rather excited. Very excited in fact.
"Indeed. It isn't too far off," he nodded.
Four train stops and a short walk later the four were at the gates of Whispering Oaks. The name of the place was displayed in large lit up letters and there were quite a few people around. The place wasn't quite packed but it still had a good amount of business. Screams of joy and terror could be heard in the distance as the largest coaster in the park made its drop. A number of the rides could be seen from where they were, aside from that particular roller coaster, including the ferris wheel and a few others.
"Here we are," the Reaper murmured, still unsure what to make of this place. There were scarelings and adults alike all around. Once they had paid admittance, he grabbed a park map.
"Any first requests?"

Mitsu didn't quite know what to make of Mac's smile but she hoped deep down it was an expression meant for excitement and not something devious. 8| She couldn't help but look at him warily though. Even without the constant whispers Mac alone made her nervous.
Thankfully the train ride wasn't vary long and after the walk from the station they were finally at the park. The entire trip Mitsu had glanced Mac's way from time to time almost expecting him to do something but now that they were at their destination she was distracted.
Eyes lighting up she made her best attempt to take in everything at once, turning in circles as she looked at the random shops that lined the entry way. There was food and more random gifts and merchandise than Mitsu had ever imagined.
"Oh Oh Oh," Mitsu piped up excitedly turning to Shun when he asked for first requests. "I had seen something about bumper cars I want to see what that is."

"Really?" She tilted her head with Mac being giggling... For the sake of giggling. There was just too much excitement in her, "Couldn't tell."
On the train, she was practically vibrating in her seat from excitement, and she was still vibrating as they walked over to the amusement park. She could see it from a distance - or rather, she could see the top of some roller coasters, and that might be a Ferris wheel in the distance. Once they were actually there, however, she spent the whole time staring and squealing at things.
First, she stared at the ticket counter. Then she stared at the giant sign, the shops selling food, the shops selling souvenirs, the rides - in that order. At every thing she stared at, she spent about half a minute going 'Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-' while bouncing up and down on the spot. The one suffering the most was probably Mac, who still has Lizzy clinging to his arm.
"No requests!" She squeaked, grinning before nodding at Mitsu's request, "Bumper cars? Bumper cars sound like fun! Bump bump." *A*

Sorry Mitsu, but Mac was the picture of innocent that train ride.
Whip stayed with them the entire train ride, perched happily on Mac's hat unless Lizzy wanted her attention; and then she moved to sit on Lizzy and accept whatever pets or fawnings came her way. Thankfully for the trip she was quiet, no obnoxious whippoorwilling outside of a couple curious or pleased (and very short) chirps. Once they were off the train Mac gave a whistle and Whip took off, leaving the group behind to go explore on her own.
Tickets purchased, map acquired, and suddenly Lizzy became a very noisy accessory. A very noisy accessory. The Reaper couldn't help but laugh - and loudly - at her excitement; she was just too cute! "Yanno, Lizzy, you could probably see more if you sat on my shoulders~" Mac suggested nonchalantly, though his grin betrayed him. It was a good thing that the ghouls chose Bumper Cars, as he was two seconds away from suggesting they try the Raging Behemoth, one of the biggest coasters in the park.
"Works for me. The one with the map leads the way?" Meaning, Shun was the guidebitch; and as a future guide himself, He'll be judging you, Shun.

Shun raised an eyebrow at the suggestion of bumper cars. Those were the things where people purposely drove badly to crash into one another. Strange things. Shrugging at that thought, he looked down at the map, seeing how Mac was intent on having him lead. Thankfully, the map was rather graphic. There were words too, but it was much easier to find the little thing that looked like two cards crashing into each other.
"Alright. This way," he said quietly while starting to move. The place wasn't too far from their starting point, so it didn't take long before the bumper cars were within view. Getting into line, the reaper looked around at the various things in the immediate area. There was a nightmare carousel close by, as well as another small ride.
After a relatively short wait of watching scarelings bump the hell out of each other, it was time for their group to get in.

Lizzy's excited behavior only seemed to feed into Mitsu's excitement. With every high pitched 'Eeeee' Mitsu's ears perked turning to see what Lizzy had seen, tail wagging up a storm with every new thing. Mitsu was rather curious about Mac's suggestion for Lizzy to sit on his shoulders. Would the view be that much better? She stood on her tip toes trying to get a better idea but they were already heading in the direction of their first amusement park adventure. Adventure~ Mitsu had nearly trotted circles around the group trying to take everything in as they moved, unable to stand still when they finally got in line for the ride. She watched in wide eyed amazement as the scarelings had at one another in their cars until finally it was their turn to enter. Carefully Mitsu made her way onto the special floor to pick a car. The front of the bumper car she picked looked like an Oni. A little strange but it was the closest to her. Climbing in she waited for the others before the game would begin. "The last time I tried, I couldn't get on, and we both ended up falling," She pouted at Mac, genuinely considering his suggestion, "You're hard to ride." She nodded sagely before dragging him to follow behind Shun and Mitsu, more than happy to just follow, seeing how she was so distracted by the sights, sounds, and smells that she would have gotten lost if she didn't have someone to follow.
She was staring at the bumper cars the whole time while they were queuing up; the concept was interesting... Drive the small car, and bump into someone else's car while trying to avoid being bumped by another car.
"Ohhh yay, it's our turn!" She ended up picking a black and purple car, because the shade of purple reminded her of her soulmate. When the ride started, she just sat there... Until she felt someone bump her from behind, causing her to step on the ignition, sending her straight towards past Shun, and right into a corner.
Where she stayed. For a very long time.
