So enthralled by the shiny gems as he was Sonu did not outright notice the yelling. He stood mesmerized by them as the light reflected off. Such pretty things. However he then noticed a noise from the entrance of the black cheetah's den caused him to spin around. There was someone there, but who could it be? Surely no one had seen him come in. Or had someone? Sonu wracked his mind to remember when, looking down upon the gems he suddenly recalled that they had but a few short minuted earlier not been his. That leopardess!

Sonu spun and hurried to the entrance of his den, nimbly dodging around the piles of various things he had collected thus far, at least in this area. Upon reaching the entrance he stopped, and from what little light there was that managed to get inside he could just make out the leopardess' head. "What are you doing in my den? Get out!" He growled, teeth gnashing in anger.

Sonu was caught off guard as the leopardess paw came up and struck him across the face. He stumbled to one side, eyes widened from surprise. The surprise quickly faded to anger as he snarled, and once more turned to curiosity as he spotted in her mouth the rest of the gems. Those would be nice in his new gem collection he had recently acquired, the only problem was getting them out of the leopardess mouth. Sonu moved back i front of her, however far enough back to keep out of paw’s reach. “You appear to be stuck. Maybe you should set those ugly rocks you have there down so you can get out.” He spoke, trying to sound as uninterested in the situation, and those gems, as he could.

A gem struck his forehead and bounced off, causing the black cheetah to wince before quickly brushing it behind him, as well as the other gem that had been spat out with the leopard’s words. Those would be added to his collection at a later time, but for now there were other matters to see to. Mainly the fact that his only way out was currently being blocked by a leopardess. “You may trap me in here, but you are stuck too you know!” He spat back at her. The idea of starving in this stalemate was not one he liked, but he was no more willing to give up his new treasure than she was to leave him alone with them.

The leopardess showed off the shinies in her mouth and Sonu’s attention, if it was not before, was not fully on her. Her words settled on his brain, unheard for a moment before they became fully processed as his mind figured out what she was saying. He could hardly believe the offer, though was unsure of how good it really was. Sonu could have those shinies, all of them, within his possession, however the downside was that this female would also be sticking around. It was obvious that she was just as willing to take things she liked that weren’t hers as he was, so who was to say that when his back wasn’t turned she might not run off with his things?

Those gems though, they called to him, whispering out his name. So much temptation. Such shiny, golden gems they were. Their images danced across his mind, shining in the light. “Fine!” He finally spat out, excitement making his tail twitch. “You can stay, but the gems stay in the back of my den. Set them down and I will help you get out.”

“Yes, yes.” Was his reply, his attentions mostly focused now on the gems that lay upon the floor. When they were knocked towards him he quickly gathered them up with his paw before picking them up in his mouth. He just managed to get them all and then turned and disappeared further in to his den. He wasn’t going to just leave these beauties up there, and so on to the pile with the rest of them they went.

After they were all safe and secure he turned and without a word broke in to a run. He knew his way easily through his own den, even with no light, and so he charged through it, dodging his own ‘treasures’ before turning suddenly and throwing himself bodily at the leopardess. A simple plan to at least knock her backwards and out of here. There was not much thought on how she’d react to this, but he could surely run damage control afterwards.

Light now streamed in to his den, outlining the black cheetah who stood at it’s entrance. “Free now, like I said.” He spoke cheerily as he stepped outside, glancing backwards to inspect the entrance of his den. It was rock lined, all natural, and held inplace by the earth itself, but he was sure he could at least shift one of the framing rocks enough to allow the larger leopardess pass in to his home. The black male looked back at the leopardess and smiled. Now that she was not trapping him in his cave, and was further from his trasures, he felt much better. “Mok’velli, was it? I am Sonu.”
