Alright! Time for round 2! Spinel was all healed, Lyle was fired up, and neither one could wait to get on the field. As soon as he could, Lyle ran out onto the field eagerly, with Spinel clinging to his shoulder like a funny-looking parrot. They looked out across the field, eager to see who they'd be fighting.

Tyalessa looked at her new opponent, still pumped from winning her last match. She still was undecided as to who to pick for this round. But upon seeing her new foe, she saw that he was kinda littler than she had imagined for a gym battle
"Arent you just a kid?"

Seeing the sabeleye on the kids shoulders, Essa decided to go with Odin Coming out of his pokeball, he shook himself like as if he had wet fur and bounced towards Essa waggling his tail. Knowing exactly what he wanted, Essa pull out a few treats from her bag and threw them to the middle of the pitch.  "Now Odin, time to get serious!"

Well, it was pretty obvious what Lyle was going with. "Let's get 'em, Spinel!" he said, pointing out to the field. His pokemon ran down his arm and leaped off the hand like it was a diving board, even doing a cheeky somersault in midair before landing on the ground and baring his sharp teeth at the Growlithe. He'd just fought a pokemon that looked like this but bigger. And beat it! He would beat this one, too!

Essa wasnt going to get beat by a kid for gym leader, just watch, she thought to herself, ill make mince meat out of that sabeleye

Yeah, Lyle wasn't surprised at that. It was a smart move against a Sableye. But he'd still won despite it before! Now, what to start with? ..."Spinel, Confuse Ray!" he ordered.
Spinel grinned wider at the Growlithe, while his eyes began to flash an eerie mix of disorienting colors.

Dammit, Essa thouht, she had to refrain from saying that out loud, not good saying that in front of a kid. She thought that she'd better get on with what she wanted to do

Lyle grinned when he saw the Growlithe hurt itself instead of attacking. It had worked! "Now, Dig!" he instructed.
Spinel quickly began shoveling the ground with his front claws and was soon burrowing underground, heading straight for the Growlithe.

Spinel dove back underground to dodge the attack, then popped back up to stick his tongue out at Odin.
"You're doing great, Spinel! Another Dig!" Lyle called. The battle was off to a good start!
Spinel disappeared underground again, burrowing towards the fire pup.

Essa was glad that the Sabeleye missed, however is was used to tight situations in battle, she would like to atleast get some damage on the opponent

Spinel had miscalculated and burrowed up a short distance away from Odin. While he looked about in confusion, he got smacked with a heavy blow that made his muscles seize up.
Paralyzed. Bad news, better play this one safe. "Spinel, Faint Attack!"
Spinel tried to work through his cramped muscles to rush at the Growlithe.
