OOC Discussions may occur that any character is welcome to overhear! The Bunks are not very private at all, anyone is welcome to join in! It had been almost a week back now. Had it really been a week? Without much sleep and only constant trips up above ground and a general lack of sunshine, it was difficult to tell. Days all blurred together and it was all Jerry could do to keep his brain together. He sat on the edge of the cot, staring at the torn and tattered paper they had found in the labs. Maybe he was over thinking it. Maybe it was nothing. Maybe it was more nepharious than he figured. He didn't know. One thing was clear, though, there were at least three people who should be concerned about this. Or at least might be able to shine some light on it a bit if they knew anything... which he doubted. If he knew nothing, they probably didn't know much else either. It took a long time to gather his nerves before Jerry finally rose shakily to his feet, glancing around for any sign of Sasha or Bix. It was the white spray of hair that caught his attention first, and glancing around the crowded room of sleeping and resting hunters, he approached timidly. "Ah... B-bix?"

Bix was doing as much nothing as he could do. When he wasn't out clearing buildings he'd taken to reading in his bunk or wandering around looking for his friends to have inane conversation about anything that wasn't clearing monsters.
He popped up eagerly when Jerry approached and stuffed piece of TP (his bookmark) into his spot in the book. He noted Jerry's stutter had come back in full force but he tried not to look worried or strange. "What's up Jerry?"

"I... I hope I'm not interrupting, ahaha. Um." He shifted from foot to foot, pulling the paper out of his jumpsuit pocket before offering it out to him, "Um. We were... we were working on the Labs yesterday and um. We found this. M-miss Molly said ah.... your name was on it too." He didn't embarrass him by saying it out loud.

"My name?" Bix didn't really have any idea what the paper could be except that Jerry looked really uneasy and jumpy. "No bother.. why don't you sit down." He slid aside before looking fully at the paper and patted the bunk next to him.
"Breeding Program?" He muttered it, puzzled, as his eyes worked their way slowly down the page. Locations.. distance must.. potential is.. --NAND WILKINS JR.
His white face could not get whiter but instead seemed to flush red. "What.. what does this mean? What is this?" His eyes glued once more to the paper to read on Camden.. Collins. Sasha Belrose. "You are on here too? What?"
He didn't really have words for his confusion.

"I... I don't know. I don't know! R-rep and Harrison said we sh-should have just... thrown it out but... but their names weren't on it. B-but... I mean... this is just one p-page there could be more I d-don't.... don't know how to feel about it," He murmured, "Haven't... haven't had the courage-ourage-ourage-" He swallowed, brows furrowing as he took a few deep breaths, "Courage to talk to Sasha about it yet... D-did um... did you know your p-parents?" He added quickly, "D-don't worry, I won't er... tell p-people Molly told me about your n-name. Bix is ah... m-much cooler than Ferdie, ahahahaha..." He was trying to keep it light, but the anxiety was written all over his scarred and stubbled face.

A whole week and Sasha had yet to gather the courage to go topside. She was going a little stir-crazy, in all honesty, and had finally decided to approach Jerry about heading up with her. She didn't really feel like going up with anyone else, and they didn't really have to spend a lot of time there, just enough for her to feel like she'd helped accomplish something.
As she neared the barracks, she heard Jerry's voice. He was stuttering still, though it wasn't anywhere near as bad as it had been before she'd forced him to take a nap. Not wanting to interrupt them - and not wanting to come off as a total eavesdropper, either - she just kind of ... lurked hopefully.
Maybe Bix or Jerry would notice her.

"My parents live at home. Yeah I know them." He sounded angry a bit, his temper had gotten quick since the Insanity. He turned his eyes down at the paper.
He looked back at Jerry. "Well my family situation isn't that weird or anything. My mom is alive and back home and thinks I'm dead and my dad's with her. She wouldn't do anything like this.. she doesn't even like Ouija boards. She wouldn't be involved in Deus!" He huffed.
"Breeding.. what like animals or something?" Bix muttered. He had that angry look that every man got when someone talked about his mother. A 'breeding program' certainly made him feel like something was being insinuated about his mother!
"My.." Bix frowned trying to get a mental handle on this. "My real dad is dead. He died when I was a baby. He was Ferdinand Sr. My mom changed my last name to Wilkins when she married my dad. You know.. the man who loves and raised me. My dad. I don't even remember the guy who's genes I carry."
"Sorry I'm not mad at you, Jerry. You're in the same boat as me. You and Sasha..... Sasha.. who is right over there." He saw her lurking, fidgeting just out of reach. "Sasha come here." He spoke up and waved to her with a smile, the kind of smile for girls like her that belayed the complete shock and frustration he was feeling.

Sasha was just about to clear her throat so that they'd notice her, but when Bix called out to her, Sasha gave him a brilliant smile.
"I was just g-going to see if Jerry wanted to go above ground with me. I haven't gone up yet, and it's... starting..." Sasha quieted, trailing off as she glanced at Jerry before peeking towards Bix.
"I wasn't ... I wasn't eavesdropping." Her jaw set in a stubborn line, Sasha crossed her arms over her chest. If they were upset that she'd been listening in on their conversation, well. She just wanted to set them straight.
"But uh.. w-what boat are we in?"

"S-sasha!" He turned around sharply, nearly falling off of the cot as his leg gave a squeak. "I wanted-anted-anted-anted-" He shook his head. Deep breaths. Deep breaths. This wasn't that big a deal. It was just... a random note. Looking decayed and creepily archaic and for all they knew it could be nothing. Nothing ominous about the phrase "Breeding program" nothing ominous about... about the idea of Deus interfering with their lives before recruitment. Nothing at all.
He shifted to make her room, hands trembling as he practically snatched the paper back from Bix, "W-we were just... talking about... I wanted to find you ah-" After he'd had time to relax a bit more about this.
Relaxation had not been on his plate in a long time.

"Sasha this is going to sound crazy." Bix, despite his own personal feelings, couldn't stand watching Jerry flounder. He didn't know Sasha very well but she seemed really innocent so Bix turned on big brother mode and tried to make it sound less shocking than it was. Should he not treat her as a child and acknowledge as a weapon weilding adult? Probably.. but no one was acting like an adult these days.
"Jerry found this piece of paper." The other sun hunter had snatched it so all Bix could do was motion and point. "From the year 2000 and it implies that you and Jerry and myself may have been the results of some sort of Deus baby making scheme." He looked at Jerry, urging him with his eyes to try and chill. He didn't want to chill himself but they didn't need to rage and flail at her.
"Do you know your mom and dad?"

"I d-d-didn't find it!" He blurted frantically, "Th-they just... gave it to me. B-because my name was on it." Jerry became suddenly very interested in his worn shoes before meekly holding the paper out to her. "I... i w-wanted to figure more about it first before... before talking to you but... um." He glanced to Bix, his brows furrowed, "N-now you know I guess, ahahahaha."

Sasha's head was spinning by the time she had the paper in her hand, skimming it quickly before giving both Jerry and Bix dubious looks. If this was some kind of prank, it really, really wasn't funny.
"This... okay, look. First of all, I know my papa. Well.. I.. I knew my papa. He's gone now." She fell silent for a long moment. This paper was either a horrible joke, or it was wrong. It had to be wrong, if it was for real.
"My mother passed away when I was very young, and I don't ... I mean, it was a long time ago so I don't remember much about her. In fact, I don't remember anything about her but that's not the point I was only a b-baby when she died! And.. okay, my papa? He was not a hunter. We lived on a farm together, okay? We sold eggs and cheese for a living!"
Her voice was growing more and more shrill; she didn't feel like she could stop her voice from reaching harpy-like volumes. Sasha gave both of the men a scathing look (or as scathing as she could manage) before almost shrieking, "This joke isn't funny!"

"SASHA ITS OKAY!" Bix's volume raised higher than hers and he put on a bit of a deeper tone than he normally would. He grabbed her shoulders. "I know my mom too! And she's alive and she lives in a double wide with my dad! Uh.. stepdad I guess." He stared in the face. "She doesn't even like tarot cards and stuff. She's not a hunter.. she's at home.. probably crying about me cause I joined this THING here and left her with no sons." Bix was not yelling above her anymore but his voice was louder.
"God..." He flopped back onto his cot and let go of Sasha. "I am an awful.. awful son." He said it softly this time. Bix shook his head. "But what's important is I know my mom wouldn't be involved and I know she's my real mom." He had her nose. "So we need to find out what this is right?"

At Sasha's outburst, Jerry had winced, doubling over his legs as he tried to think frantically. "It's not a... a... j-j-j.. it's..." Bix thankfully stepped in, which gave Jerry the freedom to fully embrace the panic attack. "J-j-just wanted-anted.. Wanted to find out..." He gasped, rocking ever so gently.
Remember the song, his little Jordan on his shoulder reminded gently.
Remember your mother ********' Jerry Song, His little Killzone on the other shoulder reminded not quite as gently.
He hummed softly under his breath.
It was nothing. Nothing. Just a list. Just a lot of question marks he hadn't thought to think about before and alright, it was a little... weird but... just breath. He could handle this.
Roar was saying something but it was drowned in the hiss.
He hummed the next verse too to be sure.
He was in control.

Maybe she'd needed Bix to snap her out of it. When he raised his voice at her, Sasha calmed for just long enought to realize that she was screeching at them. Poor Jerry was on the verge of losing it, too. This wasn't going to accomplish much of anything, but Sasha couldn't ignore the seizing pain that clawed at her chest with a constance that made it difficult to breathe.
As she fell back on the cotn Sasha reread the aged piece of paper. Clear as day, there it was. Sasha Belrose. The rest of the line was smudged, and Sasha couldn't see what it read.
"This has to be a mistake. This is just a huge misunderstanding. My papa wasn't a hunter. My mother... I just... I'm sure that if we just... just... talk to someone. Like.. if we just talk to someone, we can clear all this up. I mean... this page says 2000. We.. we were kids. This... we can get this um. Figured out. Right? Right??"
