Her hands were still wet with water, still covered with remnants of soap as she pattered her chest down for the white sticks she badly needed. The near to empty box gave way lightly under the pressure of her palms as she made quick work of stealing a cigarette from its contents and lighting it between trembling lips. She was stressed.
And she was scared.
Not because of something that had gone bump in the night or showed up her worst nightmares. No, this was something much worse. Something much more real. And it changed everything.
Her hands were still wet because this was the fifth time she had washed them since coming home. Her hair still dropped soap onto them because she hadn’t bothered to shower it off when the need to smoke gripped her. She was a mess, albeit a very clean mess, but a mess.
And it was all her fault.
The fight still played out in her mind. The punches, the kicks. The attempts to kill. Everything she had done and would have done to that Sailor scout if she had let herself. It was unnerving, sickening. She wasn’t someone who got her jollies from punching the snot out of someone was she? Was she? Sure roller derby wasn’t for the faint of heart, and sure she would have given up this Sailor gig a long time ago if fighting wasn’t involved. But beating someone up until they cried for mercy? Was that really who she was?
For gods sake she seriously hoped not.
Yet she couldn’t stop shaking. And not from crying or screaming. But from the sheer adrenaline rush that ran though her form. The excitement of what she had done! She had beaten people up before, destroyed Youma’s and trained to her hearts content. But she never wielded so much power over someone. She could have ended it for him in seconds if she had wished. And this scared her.
Because dammit she wanted to do it all over again.
Turning she grabbed her henshin pen tightly, its weight in her hand feeling heavy an cold. A sign maybe? If it was it was about to be ignore because one way or another she was heading out. And there was only one place she could think of going right now…
****
Scanning the park she waited for movement to appear, a friendly wave, a safe voice… Maybe something to remind her of who she was before this mistake happened. To tell her she wasn’t a ******** up weirdo…not yet at least. Her mind hadn’t settled on Navi straight away, but as she walked it became clearer who she wanted to see. Someone who had always suggested she was on the wrong side. Maybe now she was listen to her and truly understand…maybe she could tell her what happened to her colleague, maybe her friend?...s**t maybe this wasn’t the best idea after all.
She sat and she waited for movement

Although she had washed her hands several times after patching Grant up and tucking him into her bed, there was still a small sliver of darkness under her nails. Blood that refused to be washed off. A constant reminder of the pain he'd had to endure at the hands of the white moon. Not just any mindless soldier of the false queen, but someone that was supposed to be her friend, her budding ally. Someone she had actually come to trust.
Ate had betrayed her. Betrayed the court that had been so willing and eager to invite her in. And Ironically, the Dark Mirror would still take her, perhaps now more then ever, because of the ruthlessness and skill she had exhibited. Navi wasn't sure how she felt about that, but she knew damn well how she felt about what the Senshi of Pollution had done to her dear Virtus. She was furious, hurt, and above it all confused. Why would anyone be compelled to brutalize the kindly dark senshi so badly? Every fibber of him screamed peace, kindness, resolutions, help. How could she have possibly thought him sadistic? Navi didn't understand, but she knew how to find out.
She just hoped her temper held long enough to get answers.
Ate wasn't hard to find, she never was. Anytime Navi ever needed to find her she only had to look as far as the park, and just as always, the white moon senshi was lingering around the same bench they always seemed to come to.
As the dark senshi approached she didn't immediately speak up, afraid her voice would betray the flood of emotions that hit her when she felt that familiar aura, saw the girl she'd come to call friend. Instead she walked quietly closer until she reached the bathing light of one of the lights along the path, there she waited for the other girl to notice her, and speak first.

It wasn’t so much that you could cut the atmosphere with a knife but more that you would need some serious armour upgrades to do so. Ate didn’t need Navi to speak to feel the prickling sensation rushing over her neck. The cold sweat cloaked her hands and she clenched and unclenched each finger in turn. Yep, this seriously wasn’t a good idea and they hadn’t even spoke yet. Twisting she let her gaze settle on Navi, felt the fury emanating from her even though her face was the picture of serene tranquilly. That was more unnerving than angry words. What could one say to a face like that? If angles were angry Navi was their mascot.
“Hey…Navi…I guess a hug is out of the question? Heh, sorry bad timing…I guess I don’t have to tell you what happened? Of course I don’t! s**t a member of the order gets whacked and its like having a bandage on your tit ripped off. Of course you would know what I nearly did to the skinny kid of yours.”
Right now she couldn’t even remember his name. The look, the pure look of hatred Navi was sending her way was enough to make her mouth dry up. Nobody had this effect on her unless they were slowly undressing and sadly there were no fun times ahead for this girl.

It took an effort, more so then was pretty, to school her eyes enough to force them into the same neutrality that the rest of her features had fallen into. She almost lost it as Ate referred to her Virtus as 'that skinny kid' of her's, but after a long moment she actually managed a soft smile. One half gloved hand rose to beckon to the other girl, inviting her into the hug she seemed so desperate for even as she looked upon the dark senshi with fear. If her friend wanted a hug, then Navi would be happy to oblige.
"Ate, come here." Her voice, despite the burning fury swirling within her, was calm, almost friendly. "I've heard a side of things, but I came to hear the story from your side as well. What happened?"
She'd take her time in getting her answers, she'd actually listen to what her friend had to say, and then, when she was finished, she'd decide what she was going to do about it. Compensation would be had, but now it really was just a matter of figuring out how much, and in what form.
Besides, the twisted, chaos fueled part of her that had awakened in the Surrounding was giddy at the manipulation. No one among the Dark Mirror really pulled off the picture of innocence like Navi could. Least not simply in acting.

Ate didn’t need a second bidding, she rushed into the arms of her supposied friend like they were much needed life support. She could hug anyone she guessed, even her cousin. But it would be a fake hug, a hug she would have to hid the reson for behind lies and deceit. It was nice just to be her, this was what she was, and she was getting a hug for it.
And it was good even if she didn’t deserve it, not after this night.
Pulling away the dip in her stomach became stronger as Navi curled the words towars her ears. Of course she wanted an answer, what did she expect? For forgiveness, straight off the bat? Like this s**t just happens? A colleague, a team mate, a possible friend gets beaten to a pulp for no reason other than being on the wrong team and everything was meant to be excused? No, not in this life. She knew what she had done, and if anything she would have done it again…just maybe not as bad. They were from different worlds, different teams. Even if she wasn’t meant to be on this one herself. She breathed in deeply and tried her best to explain.
“I…I don’t know. I was mistaken I think. I assumed he was…mental, like crazy mental – blowing up the world with puppies mental. And I snapped. All this rage, this hatred I had. The guilt. I wanted to destroy him, if felt like if I did I would be absolved from what I’ve already done…like my hands would be clean and I wouldn’t have to see the taint on them. But if anything I’ve been tainted further… and am sorry, am so, so sorry, please…please forgive me….”
Or that’s what she would have said if she had any sense. But Ate was hardly one for sense, and even worse for knowing what was good for her (liver damage anyone?). And knowing that Navi, let alone anyone else would ever forgive her? She just couldn’t bring herself to beg like that, not for something she could never get. If she was going down she was going down swinging.
“I…I don’t know…what happened…I thought, if I hit him hard enough…I could-d …I could wipe that stupid little snots smirk right off his face! You’re kidding me right? Right? Why would you ever hire someone like that? The kids a weakling, a s**t stain! And you’re here demanding an answer from me? ME! I did you a favour, I did your Queen a favour! Why would you ever endorse someone like that? I mean for ******** sake Navi, the kid shouldn’t have even been patrolling on his own yet? And you and your stupid colleague Remarque have the nerve to berate me about it? We’re at war girl! Don’t ******** forget that!”
That…might have done it.

For an instant the hug was all it should have been. Familiar, even safe, and then that moment began to crumble around the edges as the memory of Virtus' blood on her carpet swam through her mind. Her fingers tensed, and she likely would have stepped away had Ate not chosen that very second to give her less then satisfactory answer to the dark senshi whom she claimed as a friend. Oh the first few words were alright, but then that sweet voice began to harden, and with every jabbing insult the other girl addressed to her dear Virtus the Senshi of Tumbleweeds stiffened, serene expression growing darker. By the end of it her hands had tightened where they had come to rest. One between Ate's shoulder blades, the other at the back of her head. Where she had wanted to get away from the other girl a moment ago, now she held on, the tips of her fingers digging into flesh and scalp. "That weakling is a healer of the Dark Mirror Court, he's not meant to fight as you or I," she hissed within Ate's ear as she clutched the other girl against her. "Further still, he is mine!" Her nails dug into Ate's skin, but that was really the least of her worries at the moment. Without warning, with barely a tensing of muscles to betray her actions, the dark senshi called the slicing wind of her power to the hand pressed between the other girls shoulders. "Bitter winds howl." Th force of the swirling air was enough to force her hand from Ate's skin, but between would form the ball of swirling, razer edged wind to bite and dig at the other girls back, and should she not manage to free herself in time, the ball would split, and three in turn would take the place of one as the howling currents of slicing wind ate at her skin.

Ate should have seen it coming, it wasn’t like there wasn’t going to be a fight. She had just slammed in the emotional knife and twisted it. Hard. To not prepare herself was to be stupid. But somewhere she felt she needed to feel this hatred, this pain she had caused a girl who she had considered an ally. She needed to know what she had truly done.
So as the nails scratched at her skin she didn’t flinch and the pressure on her shoulder hardened she kept in all sound. She was just watching and waiting for the moment that she could feel the torment lashing out of Navi and into her. Did she want to feel punished? Right now she just wanted to feel anything.
And a razor blade of wind felt just about right.
It caught her full in the chest, like a punch of barbed wire she felt it tear and force her back. Lungs gasping for air she skidding into the ground as she accepted the first of many blows. Dam, she couldn’t say the same about Navi like she had about Virtus. This girl had been recruited because she was strong and ruthless. If anything it made Ate like her more, but sadly that ship had long sailed.
“Uhhh, s**t-t...was that …was that some sort of fart? Girl what-t kind of crappy attack do you call that?” It was hard to look menacing with the wind knocked out of you so Ate could only resort to default mode. Terrible humour. She pulled herself up, nursing her cracked ribs as she stumbled upright. She was thinking of things to say rather than attack straight away. If she needed to she would, but right now it was a matter of letting Navi vent, with her fists on her skull.
“He’s yours? Then-n you should have been protecting him! He’s a healer? Then he shouldn’t be patrolling without a guard! You can b***h and moan about what a mess I did to his pretty face but face facts you cow. If it wasn’t me then someone else would have caught up with him! ******** you! You’re so high and mightily that you wouldn’t do the same to one of us! You only have yourselves to blame for this!”
With a twist Ate brought herself into a defensive stance, her hands up and ready to punch and kick as hard as she could. If Ate had known better she could have told Navi that Remarque was to be thanked for his donated moves but this was no time for revelations.

Strong and ruthless, those words certainly applied to the dark senshi standing above the other girl, but she wasn't always so hard. Not before she'd been abducted into the surrounding, and not even after she'd watched the deaths of those she'd cared about. Not until she'd accepted that she was going to die up in that battle, resigned herself to being obliterated. It was then the dark queen had found her, and the the rush of chaotic power that had been thrust upon her, that had been what source of her strength, the cold ruthlessness she bestowed upon her enemies. She had once been a soft girl, but no more. She watched almost passively as Ate struggled to regain her breath, and the biting insults directed up at her for her attack only made her smile. Ate could belittle the hit all she wanted, but Navi could see the pain in her eyes as she fought for breath. The smile disappeared though as Virtus was once again mentioned, and the soft hazel of Dark Mirror's eyes hardened as ginger brows narrowed. Her jaw closed with enough force to make her molars clack, and she had to bite her tongue to keep from screaming at the other woman as she pointed out what had been so obvious to her when she'd found her darling bleeding on her floor. She knew he hadn't been ready, but she'd done what she could before the boy had been required to fulfill his duty to the court by gathering energy. She couldn't argue that she'd let him down, inadvertently or not, so she kept her mouth shut. At least until Ate accused her of the same blood thirsty crime. "Am I the same?" She called back, voice raising to cut off anything else the other senshi might have added. "Did I attack you when I first found you in that tree?" An old anger began to bubble up within the senshi of tumbleweeds, mixing with the new. That same old rage that had been born within her from the start of her new life. The damn White Moon, self righteous hypocrites. "The goal of the Dark Mirror Court is to awaken you misguided fools to the true court," her hands were balled so tightly into fists she could feel the bite of her nails biting into her palms. "We attempt to show you the light, we fight only when we have to. But you warriors of the false queen, you sense a little "chaos" and your first inclination is to eradicate us!" She was so angry she was shaking in rage, screaming at the other girl, and at the end of her rant she'd strike once again. Dainty fist cocking back driving forward with all that frustration and fury lending speed and strength to her actions. She planted her heel as curled knuckles neared the other girl's ch eek, and at the last second she rotated her wrist, grinding her hand into that pale flesh to cause as much pain and damage as she possibly could. If the hit landed, that is.

Even if Ate could have avoided the punch, again she didn’t want too. Of course it meant a possible cracked jaw and a few loose molars but it was the price to pay to get the reprimand she deserved. She didn’t want to be seen as a martyr. She didn’t want to get pity or mercy from anyone let alone herself. She wasn’t doing this so she could turn around and go “look you’ve beaten me to a pulp, now that makes us even”. No. She just knew she deserved it. This was just about the pain. More so because one day this would be all that she knew. What was the point in fighting it?
Spitting blood Ate raised a forearm to stop any further punches from raining down. Even though she kept her own fists close she could see her words hitting Navi where it hurt. She read the emotions that danced across her face; this boy was obviously close to her heart. And Ate had caused him so much pain she felt sick herself. She couldn’t change the past, she wouldn’t. But she wished for just a moment that she hadn’t caused those emotions to hang heavy on Navi’s lips.
“Heh…do you blame them? Both sides are sworn to fight, to defend themselves against each other. One wants to preserve the old ways, protect the weak, and cherish the good. The other strives for a new world, allowing the strong to rule with an iron fist, to welcome in a dawn we have never seen before but will all come to fear! And then you guys, you guys come and upset this pathetic balance for power by claiming to awaken us all! The White Court has been fighting these monsters for years, hundreds if not thousands of years! They sniff an unbalance, a key for the Negaverse to win and they will strike at it. You may not be an embodiment of evil but you have aligned yourself enough with them for the Order to fear you. Even with a missing Queen, yes even a false one, they can’t lose now, can’t you see that? Can you really blame them?!”
Ate had shocked herself. She didn’t think she had any more White Court support left in her but obviously somewhere there was a little voice telling her that fate hadn’t placed her in this court for no reason. She was just choosing to abandon it.
“Can you blame me?”
Wiping the trickle of blood from her cheek she swished the metallic liquid from her mouth. She could feel the hole in her cheek getting bigger where she had bitten down as Navi’s fist had come into contact with bone. Her tongue winced in pain as it seared hot white pain through her head every time she spoke a word. She wanted to sit down. She felt sick and dizzy and the longer she stood trying to form words the harder it was to stop her brain from spinning. Why where there two pairs of everything all of a sudden?
“You deserve to be eradicated, you can’t even pick a side, you sit on the fence waiting for a chance to attack. You like rats. Filthy ******** rats.”

Her knuckles connected with flesh and bone, and a shock of pain raced up along the ginger haired senshi's arm. It hurt, a LOT, but it wouldn't be enough to keep her from taking another swing at the girl. Ate's words on the other hand would, at least for the moment. The dark senshi was furious, obviously, but she couldn't bring herself to silence the other girl, not yet. She couldn't say why exactly, maybe it was hope. Hope the other girl would apologize, say something that would explain her actions. Anything to make the pain Navi was feeling end. But every time that pretty little mouth opened, more filth spewed out from it. Vile, hateful, and unfamiliar garbage, the likes of which Navi had never heard from Ate before. It was shocking, and did nothing to quell the anger that was raging inside her. "Chaos is not evil!" It was a little surprising to hear the words, and in such a adamant tone. So many had called her court evil, had offered to show her, them, the rightful path. Help they had promised, but Navi didn't need help. "You have no idea what you're even fighting for anymore." One step back, and dainty fists balled at her sides. "I know what I fight for, I believe in my cause above all else. Can you say the same?" Navi already knew the answer to that, Ate had already told her. If Ate bothered to look at Navi's face, she'd see just how badly her words had pricked at the other senshi. Another foe, no not foe, friend had confessed she and her ilk were nothing, less then nothing, deserving only of elimination. It was more then Navi could take in her over emotional state. "You're no better, with your indecision and heartless brutality." Navi was all but shaking where she stood. "I at least claim a cause, what the ******** do you fight for?" Her patience broke, and her arms rose, palms mirroring each other before her. As she moved the wind picked up, swirling their hair around their faces and scattering leaves, circling the pair before racing to the Senshi of Tumbleweeds call. "BItter Winds Howl." It was barely a whisper, but whistle of wind as it compressed between her hands was loud enough to make up for it. She stepped back, palms thrusting outward, and that singular ball broke into three, each barreling down on the kneeling girl on the pavement before her. They were small, but each struck with the same force as the first she'd driven into Ate's back. One aimed at the face, one the heart, the other her stomach.

The impact of her attack stopped dead all typical responses Ate had saved for the girl. The words caught in her throat as each ball winded her again and again. Each powerful orb was like a punch and the crack of power on her body was enough to send her flailing back. It was a moment before the Senshi eye sight stopped spinning and she could attempt to get up.
But she didn’t want too.
All of a sudden Ate didn’t want to fight anymore. Sure she wanted to get back up on her feet but not to rain more abuse down on this person she had considered an alley, a friend. She wanted to hug her. She wanted to close her arms around and tell her how sorry she was. That she would never hurt her again or anyone she loved, ever. To kiss her forehead and tell her she was right and then any punishment would never be enough for what she had done. But to just be forgiven, would mean the world.
It was too late for that of course. Or at least she thought that.
“Uhh..owww-ow…you know, you know am letting you hit me? I could dodge your attacks all day Windy.” She forced out an exaggerated laugh before flipping herself back up. Even thinking about moving hurt but she smiled through gritted teeth as the got back on her feet.
“I guess we can agree to that, I fight for nothing but you also have to consider me an exception because I no longer represent the White Moon Court in anyway. Not anymore. I don’t fight in their name, or speak their words, so just consider me to be an individual acting on my own. Am cruel and horrible and it took kicking your boyfriends face off to know that. …”
If it was possible Ate try to communicate all her emotions through her pleading eyes as she readied herself for further attack, she wasn’t about to let her guard down, not now.
“And know, even though it changes nothing, that I am sorry it was him. I never wanted to hurt you at least…but I did. And knowing what I do now, about myself, I would not hesitate to do it again.”Beejoux My love for you burns like pee emotion_bigheart

It seemed as if a good majority of Navi's rage left with that final attack, because she watched her former friend crash to the ground with an expression very close to hopelessness. Her anger had been her fuel, and without it she felt nothing but the pain of betrayal, and the exhaustion that came when adrenaline faded and nothing was left but your emotions. She stood staring, tears streaming in earnest down pale, freckled cheeks, and watched as Ate got back to her feet. And even with everything that had happened, the blood on the other girl's skin still made the dark senshi's heart heart. She didn't need the white senshi's admission to know her attacks had been unguarded, it'd been obvious. In Navi's anger she hadn't cared why, now she did. The pale pink of her low lip dimpled as she took it between her teeth, biting down gently as she fought to just stay her ground, stay on her feet, and not collapse into tears or rush to her former friend's side. Hazel eyes widened as Ate continued, and the Dark Mirror's breath caught in her throat. Talk of the pain she'd caused Grant still fanned the tiny spark of flame still burning within her, but it was her declaration before that that had Navi staring, expression unreadable. She let Ate say what she had to say, all of it, without speaking, without even moving beyond the slight tremble that seemed to have spread along her arms. When she was done Navi's shoulders fell. She sniffed, hard, hand raising to rub along her cheek and nose, pale eyes finally looking anywhere but the girl before her. She honestly didn't know what to do at this point, logic had left her, and she had nothing but the mixed bag of emotions threatening to overwhelm her. But she had to do something. After almost a full minute she looked back at the Senshi of Pollution, and steeling her expression she stepped forward. She tried to reclaim that lost rage, to continue what she had come here for. To get the revenge she had promised her poor Virtus. Her hand went back, fingers closing into a fist, but as it came forward she came with it, arm circling Ate's shoulders as she collapsed against her. She was crying, sobs muffled against the pale skin at Ate's neck. She didn't know what to say. Hell, she couldn't even decipher what exactly she was feeling in that moment. She held onto Ate, hugging the other girl against her, and she cried out what remained of her emotions against the taller senshi's shoulder. Matisha All my feels. ALL OF THEM. PS. you should probably get that looked at..

Emerald eyes closed Ate welcomed the punch that was coming for her, welcomed it like a summers breeze as she raised her chin to make it hurt all the more. She would never have stopped Navi striking her where she stood. Just one more hit and it might make everything better. Just one more and things could be good again. Just once more.
But it never came.
Instead long slender arms appeared, gentle but unforgiving in their hold against her torso. She tensed shocked before realising what was happening. It wasn’t an attack, it was a hug. A simple if yet impossible thing to have happen right now in Ate’s world. She needed to see it to believe it was really Navi and not some drunken hobo coming in for a cuddle. Tentatively her vision opened to a sea of ginger curls, delicate and soft against her cheek as she breathed in the sweet perfume entrapped within the strands. She felt the tears roll onto her neck, the sobs at her throat and this simple, innocent act brought tears to her own eyes and her arms tight round the dark mirror senshi.
“Am…... am so……am so sorry…” Her words were barely audible through the mass of red hair, her forehead held against the crown of Navi’s skull as she began to weep. She didn’t want to see anything, hear anything; just have the feeling of holding onto Navi as she cried her regret into her mane. Her legs buckled as if under a tremendous weight though Navi weighed barely anything in her arms she fell to the floor, her arms still holding on tight as she spoke into her hair, making it damp under her tears.
“Am so sorry, please…please, please forgive me.” Her breath caught in strangled gasps as she whispered these words towards her ear, as if spoken loudly they would lose all meaning and not feel so sincere. It was easy to feel Ate’s heart breaking over this girl she held. This person that had never done anything to hurt her, but only to help, to see her world more clearly. To be a friend. And she had hurt her in the most horrendous way possible. And everything Ate should have felt over the incensed and cruel attack on Virtus finally poured out. She truly hated herself, she hated herself so dam much.
But this was who she was, and she would spend th rest of her life trying to make up for it to those she loved.
Pushing her shoulder up she prompted Navi to pull back so she could look at her. Red rimmed eyes stared into mascara streaked ones as she held her face so close she could see the pores and the tiny downy hair that covered Navi’s face. She was so beautiful and lovely in this sorrowful moment that Ate felt her heart break all over again. Pushing her hair back behind her ears she continued to look at her, serious and powerful in her determination to make this better, even just a tiny bit.
“I promise…I promise, I will never, NEVER, hurt you again Navi…I promise. You may never forgive me, and honesty…I don’t want you too. Because then I can never forget what I’ve done to you and that way I will never stop trying to make this better. Please, plee-as-eee…let me…let me make this better …”
Honestly she didn’t know the first step to making any of this better but if she knew for one moment that this hug would ease things she would have never let go.Beejoux Nahh I like the pain, just like our love

Navi barely registered Ate's shock at the hug. She was lost to great racking sobs that shook her small frame and drowned out almost anything else. Dimly she caught the apology, and those simple, stuttered words were made her breath catch in her throat, for just a second, before the tears continued and their crying filled the night air around them. Had anyone passed they'd have been baffled, but neither girl could have cared in that moment. She was sorry. Ate, her friend, regretted the terrible thing she'd done, and even if that didn't fully make up for the pain she'd put Virtus through, it was definitely a start. As the white senshi's knees buckled, Navi fell with her, until they were just a jumble of limbs and emotion weeping together on the sidewalk. Her sobs were quieting as the other girl begged for forgiveness, and for a long time Navi remained silent. It was hard not to simply blurt out that she'd of course forgive her friend, but at that moment, she honestly wasn't sure she could. She wanted to, with all her heart, but the damage.. It was going to take time. Sniffing gently, the girl slid her hands around to cup Ate's cheeks so she could lift her head and look the other senshi in the eye. "I want to, but what's been done is serious. I can't sweep it under the rug." Fresh tears welled up in the pale teen's eyes, sliding down along the freckle touched buttermilk of her cheek. "It means so much to me that you are truly sorry, and if you really mean that, I need you to prove it to me so we can move past this." Hazel eyes jumped from one green eye to the other, searching. "Will you do that?" The real question was how, but that wasn't one that needed to be asked just then. Navi had vented her rage, taken out her vengence and frustration on the source of her pain, and from that violence, against all expectations, they were once again on equal, if slightly shaky ground with one another. It would take a lot, but if Ate really wanted to win Navi back, she would. And the Senshi of Tumbleweeds sincerely hoped she did. Before Ate could answer, the ginger kissed girl slide free of her grasp and rose to her feet, stepping back from the other woman. "I'm going now, it's a good note to leave on. But I'll look for you again soon." And by then, hopefully Ate would have something to show, and Navi would feel more forgiving.

The detanglement of arms had Ate snapping out of her self-loathing long enough to feel the cold wind enter between them. Already she missed the comforting body heat of Navi as the mirror senshi held her face briefly before letting go and stepping back. What could she say to those words? The mere thought that she could be forgiven was enough to have the Senshi stifle back more angry tears as she watched the red head foretell her departure. She didn’t want her to leave yet but what could she do? This damage was hardly superficial and to prove herself would take time and patience, something Ate would have to gain in abundance to make things right.
“I will…I don’t know how but I will Navi, you have my word, even if that means absolute s**t right now, I promise you, I promise.” She wanted to get up again and bear hug the life from the stick figure before her, to take her home and tell her all the terrible secret she owned just to make this even. But no amount of de-transformation or eating ice-cream with French fries was going to make this better, this meant and would mean something so much more.
“If it means anything…just know that, I will not attack another of your court unless they attack me, ok? I can’t be accidently b***h slapping your mom…” She smiled slightly at the bad mistimed joke, but whether it was actually at the joke or the fact that she seriously couldn’t dig herself a bigger hole right now wasn’t obvious. A small cringe showed in the features either way as the raven haired senshi tentatively eyed the dark scout, as if this one sentence could undo all the progress that had gone before. “s**t…seriously what is wrong with me? I have like a, a lonely death wish or something…” It was easy to see Ate was not above begging for Navi to over look that small comment.
