. . . Stream . . . ███████ ████████ ████████████████████████ ███████████████ Where the clan gets its water and daily dose of sunshine. This stream is fed by the same one that runs through thunderclan, and if followed, leads to the carrionplace. Mice can be found in the feild on either side of the stream and every so often birds will decend to pick at the bugs between the reeds. From this point on the clan territory, thunderclans territory can be seen. This is as far as most intruders dare to go, since beyond this is the swamp. The water is slightly murky and if any cat cares enough, they can try their paw at fishing.

Firepaw XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Lightningstrider's Apprentice » Enter From Shadowclan Camp «
Firepaw approached the stream tiredly and dropped next to it. She placed her tail in the cool water and watched the blood turn crimson as it washed her tail. The water stung, but at the same time it relieved her mind of the angry thoughts. She'd probably be reprimanded for hitting Stormhawk and lashing out, oh and probably for abandoning the den as well. The she-cat didn't care though, Firepaw did what she felt she had to do. Looking at her reflection the young she-cat felt disgusted about herself. "What do I do?" she asked herself out loud.

Lightningstrider walked in after Firepaw and sighed softly as she sat beside her apprentice, though away from the water. "You did what was honourable. If it was right... well, I can't tell you that for sure," the deputy said before she looked to Firepaw and sat with her a while.
"Never regret your past or it will destroy you," she said calmly to the apprentice. . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : .

Firepaw XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Lightningstrider's ApprenticeFirepaw looked up at her mentor and sighed. "I believe what I did was right...no matter what the others think...but it gets so tiring having all of them just judging me...because they wouldn't do something like it," her voice was soft. The she-cat stared at her mentor, "I just don't understand," she shook her head before swatting the water that trickled down the stream. "I don't regret saving that tom. Not at all...but I have a feeling I just dug myself a deeper grave. Stormhawk just agitates me so much! I'm an awful apprentice, I know that...but...how does a cat like Stormhawk allow himself to feel so entitled? You know...there is one thing I regret...it's that I didn't hit Stormhawk sooner. I'm sick of him harassing me!" she snarled.
The frustrated apprentice felt lost, Firepaw didn't feel truly accepted by anyone except her mentor. The thought of being the joke of the camp made her sick. The she-cat lowered her head in disgust with herself. Nudging her head softly against Lightningstrider. "How much worse did I make things for myself?" she asked.

Deputy of Shadowclan . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . Lɨʛҥтɴɨɴʛsτʀɨɗeʀ . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . Lightningstrider groomed over her apprentice's head as Firepaw nudged herself against the older deputy. "No one in Shadowclan would have ever saved a rogue like you did. Even I would have left him for dead, or expected even cowardly Windclan to make some sort of attempt at a rescue," Lightningstrider replied before she sighed softly. "Just because the rest of Shadowclan would not have acted as you did does not mean you did something wrong. The Warrior Code honours all life, and I believe Starclan would approve of your choice. Despite what anyone at camp says, you were following the Warrior Code because you valued life above all else. They cannot hate you justly, or scold you justly. It is my right and duty to instruct you to become a warrior, and no one elses."
"Do not listen to what others may say, and remain certain that your actions were just," she continued, "Cats like Stormhawk need a little reminder of what the Code is sometimes. He had no right to scold you. If you were another warrior's apprentice he would have had the right, but since I am the deputy, only I and Lonestar's opinion should matter to you at this point." . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : .

Firepaw XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Lightningstrider's ApprenticeFirepaw listened carefully to her mentor's words. She believed that she was truly the most blessed of the apprentices to have such a knowledgable mentor. Though she wished that at least one cat wouldn't see all the clans as separate beings. They were all living the same life... Firepaw didn't make a comment though, because the mentors words were strong and meant something more to her.
The she-cat would've never guessed she'd follow part of The Warrior Code, but she had never been put in a position to follow it until that moment. Firepaw wished she could see how the loner was doing, hopefully he was going to make it. The tom seemed strong, wise, and brave. She assumed he jumped in front of that monster to prove a point. With no one to live for...she couldn't say she wouldn't do the same, for now though the apprentice was living for her mentor. Lightningstrider was more like family than just a teacher. For now that was what she was fighting for.
"You're right. What I did was the right thing. I could not sleep at night if I would've let him die," she said feeling a bit more confident. "I'd do it again to...Lightningstrider...thank you," she said while kindly rubbing her head against the other she-cats's. Standing up she felt the pain crawl through her as her tail was pulled from the water. "Even if I lose my tail. I'll be fine! Did you see that loner? He was able to scale trees so quick. He didn't have a tail to help balance him either. I can handle whatever is thrown at me," Firepaw announced with pride. Only Lonestar and Lightningstrider would have the right to scold her now. She wasn't going to take grief that any of the other cats gave her anymore. Firepaw would walk with her head held high and a confidence that couldn't be broken. When it came down to it Firepaw was sure she didn't find her purpose, but she was positive that she was on the right path to finding it. "We should go back...I think I should get my tail looked at," she admitted before trotting off with Lightningstrider.

Deputy of Shadowclan . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . Lɨʛҥтɴɨɴʛsτʀɨɗeʀ . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . Lightningstrider nodded to Firepaw as she agreed to go back to camp and have her tail looked at. She took a small sigh of relief as soon as Firepaw was out of earshot and shook her head slightly as she looked at the water in the stream. She'll be a fine warrior, but how she was born into Shadowclan I don't think I'll ever really figure out. Firepaw has more of a Thunderclan heart in her, I think... courageous, bold, and outspoken, she thought, for once not insulting another clan with the typical bad characteristics.
Taking a small drink further upstream, Lightningstrider licked her maw and yawned as she glanced around the territory. She shrugged before heading back to camp to organize another hunting patrol.
