This is the stream where Thunderclan gets it water. Since Riverclan took sunning rocks, they resort to this cut-off stream, that lays deep within their
territory. Its not really deep enough to hold large fish, but thunderclan isn't known for its fishing skills, so what does it matter. This stream is an excellent
source for small rodents, squirells, and even some birds.

 Leader of Thunderclan —¤÷(`[¤* ~•Falconstar•~ *¤]´)÷¤— —Enter from Thunderclan Camp—
Falconstar raced into the area, letting his feet touch the ground only briefly
before he came to a sudden and quiet stop. His maw was open just slightly
as he panted, though his ears twitched for any signs of prey in the area. He
could hear a few squirrels, and maybe a few ground rodents shuffling through
the leaves from the last season. There was just a light dusting of snow on
the ground that would likely melt by Sun-High, but already he could see the
tracks of a few mice and voles on the ground.
He turned and waited patiently for his hunting patrol, ready to teach his
apprentice once again the subtle skills of hunting and tracking, and not just
spotting something and running after it while making a fuss. For one to be a
skillful hunter, one had to know the lay of the land, and how your prey acted.
The hunter could not startle the prey in order to give chase, for the prey were
faster and more agile on most occassions. —¤ ' ¤ ' ¤—

Thunderclan ApprenticexxxxxxxxxxxxxMentor: Falconstar [Enter Winterpaw from the Thunderclan Camp]
Winterpaw was just behind her mentor as she raced after him. She silently came to a stop as she looked at Falconstar but she was slightly panting. Trying to catch her breath, she didn't want to scare off any prey. As hyper as Winterpaw was, she was a smart she-cat. She was an excellent hunter. On her first hunting expedition, and her first catch, she caught a rabbit twice her size. She looked at Falconstar than tasted the air, she whispered. "I smell rabbit." She mewed as she looked at Falconstar. Without his permission, she dropped in a hunters crouch, and silently stalked but not slowly. She was quick about it because a rabbit could scent you, while a mouse could feel your pawsteps. She pinpointed where the rabbit was by scent, not sight. Quickly pouncing into the bush in front of her, she got her claws into the thing and finished it off in one blow. She dragged it out of the bush and placed it in front of Falconstar.

Pepperdust arrived at the Stream, at her more leisurely pace, just in the to see Winterpaw dragging the Rabbit over to FalconStar. "Strange that a rabbit would be here, we don't get too many of them." She mused aloud. She left the analysis of Whinterpaw's hunt, as well as congratulations for the catch, to Falconstar. Winterpaw wasn't her apprentice. Instead she listened hard for the rustling in the bushes. She could hear a few mice, and a vole. Thinking that a vole would be a bigger meal for a clan mate, she decided to target that.
She slipped into her hunting crouch, and with sure slow movements, crept slowly toward the creature. Once close enough, she gave a quick swipe of her paw, flinging the creature. It hit the ground, stunned, and she took the opportunity to give it a swift bite in the neck, killing it. She picked t up in her mouth, and brought it over with the ribbit. "We should bury these, and catch some more." ... teach, not fight.

Falconstar was absolutely floored with disbelief when Winterpaw caught that
rabbit, not only was an apprentice catching a rabbit rare, but the whole
situation was rather astounding; the rabbit being in the area in the first place
and the fact that the rabbit did not get away from the apprentice that was
nearly as large as Winterpaw. He blinked a few times before looking to
Pepperdust as he spoke. "And that Winterpaw caught it is even more
amazing," he replied, and looked to his apprentice as he continued,
"Congradulations, this feat is surely worth celebrating back at camp once we
catch a few more mice."
"I'll bury the prey we have, Winterpaw, help Pepperdust get a few more mice
before we'll haul this back to camp," he said proudly to the younger white cat.
He did as he said he would do, and started to dig and bury the prey they
had, though the rabbit was a bit much to bury for the short time that they
would be there and so he managed to dig far enough under some tree roots
to shove the kill there and away from sight. —¤ ' ¤ ' ¤—

Winterpaw purred as she looked at her mentor before she decided to go off hunting a little more. She tasted the air as she looked around. She could hear scuffling among the roots of a tree not far in front of her. She tried to stay as still as possible as she looked for the creature who was looking for seeds among the trees. She found it and quickly pounced, and finished it off in one blow. She covered it with earth before she went off looking for more prey. She tasted the air again as she scented something other than mouse. She spotted a chaffinch pecking at the ground in front of her. After the chaffinch she had caught another mouse and a squirrel, satisfied with her catch, she padded off back towards the area where she had caught the rabbit.

Pepperdust headed back with Winterpaw, a vole and a mouse in her maw. She dropped them on the ground when she reached Falconstar. "Ready to head back to camp?" She asked, seeing that they'd caught a fair amount of prey. "Everyone else must be hungry by now." ... teach, not fight.

Falconstar dragged out Winterpaw's earlier kills and smiled at the apprentice
who was already an excellent hunter, even at her young age. He was proud
and astounded at her progress and though she wasn't the best fighter, that
fact paled in comparison to her hunting abilities. She made him proud to be
her mentor, especially since she managed to catch something almost larger
than herself; the rabbit.
"Seeing that we are very successful, we should head back to camp," he
replied with a nod to Pepperdust. "I'll drag your earlier kills back with me so
you don't have to carry so much," he continued to Winterpaw before he did
just, that, dragging the rabbit and mouse that Winterpaw had caught earlier
so that she could carry her other pieces of prey she had caught.

"Very well." Pepperdust replied, picking up the few other pieces of prey she'd caught. "We hunted well for the clan." She thought to herself. "And when we get back, I have my own apprentice to attend to." She added, wondering what Silverpaw was doing.

Winterpaw noticed the proud look in her mentor's eyes as he looked at her catch. She was growing rather well as an apprentice and she was starting to get amazing at it but her fighting skills weren't so keen but she still would fight with her life for the clan. She would even fight Starclan themselves! She purred as she carried her kill back to camp.
