1: Grey feathers fall down and a terrible cry echoes throughout the area. A miniature version of the Phoenix swoops down, agitating the fog wherever it goes.

2-10: You find the body of a fallen hunter, their weapon tablet lies on the ground but crumbles as you reach for it. The pieces quickly shift and expand into a large, insane creature. It's form is not very solid, and more cloud-like than anything.

Jude had decided it was time to do some more helping out at the dorms since it seemed pretty clogged up with beasties the last time he'd come here. It didn't take long before something snatched at a part of his uniform. He gazed down at it with mild interest, "Oh, we want to play? How fun." He said in a dry tone as he summoned up his weapon.

Might as well give the creature what it wanted...

Jude's weapon punched down at the creature's head cracking it open with a sickening crunch. He watched with a bit of boredom as it dissipated right away, Jude had hoped for a bit more of a fight but instead he got ... this. As he straightened up he turned and resumed walking idly pausing to peek around to make sure he wasn't being snuck up upon.

After an inspection to see who or what was behind him he turned toward the front to find something barreling toward him in a slow fashion. Jude's expression briefly turned to one of interest. He'd seen this type before and with a couple of people around it didn't really pose much of a threat.

Now that it was just him were the stakes any different now?

Once it got close enough Jude shifted his footing and punched one of his weapons forward. The hit went to the chest and the creature stumbled back with a startled screech and a bit of flailing. None of the flailing hit Jude but at least it didn't go down in one hit. Jude gave a small bit of a feral grin.

This was a little entertaining. It helped him forget everything when he fought. He forgot about his heartache and about how alone he felt in the sea of bodies. It was just him and his foe.

The creature regained what bearings it had left and lunged at Jude once more. The Hunter danced back out of the way almost as if toying with it. The grin on his face just enraged the creature just that much more and Jude did not care.

Beasts. Idiots. Self-righteous. Hypocritical. This creature was no different.

It howled and snarled at him - the insults lost on Jude because he did not speak 'beast'. He tired of playing with the creature and so when it made one last lunge at him Jude thrust one of his punching daggers up against whatever the creature had called a jaw and was rewarded with a howl of pain and dissipation.

...That was fun while it lasted for a minute.

Jude gazed around himself and things had become quiet. He frowned slightly as he started to walk forward once more - he kept his guard up.

Something reached out as he walked past a door that was slightly cracked open. Jude felt a momentary startle at the sudden contact but when he gazed down he only saw the same weak creatures he'd always seen up until now. Ugh.

Perhaps he should just let it go. It wasn't even worth his time...

Jude thought better of leaving the creature behind - mostly because it was certain to haunt after him now that it knew he was around. Lazily he swiped a punching dagger at the face of the creature and it gave a pained sound. As he carefully shifted himself out of the way of flailing claws.

{Ssstop toying around, Jude,} Yom muttered a bit impatiently. It was bad enough that he wasn't using his charges when she was ready for it it didn't mean he had to keep being lazy about hitting things.

Jude uttered a short laugh and stabbed the creature in the chest and then it was gone leaving Jude alone once more.

Jude swiped his weapon at the air seeing a shadow move from the corner of his eye. Oh wait, that was just his shadow. Nevermind.

The paranoia still ran through him and showed its face at odd times. Such as this.

Explain that to the poor wall you put a nice hearty scratch on, Jude. : |||

As Jude turned to face forward again a bunch of small creatures had taken the time to gang up on him. He didn't have much time to yell out anything or even be startled. All he had time was to hold up his weapon to try and fend off some of the wave.

Feeling the power of his weapon pour into him quickening his movements a bit he began to perform a series of short jabs here and there to try and lessen the hoard by a bit. It didn't seem to do a whole lot but at least it was a start for now. Jude felt a bit winded and the creatures took that moment to swipe at him causing him some pain.

Now this was a challenge.

Going into a fresh attack after unleashing the power of his weapon was always a tricky thing. Sometimes he hit well but other times it ended up with weak hits. This was one of those times. The creatures chortled at him and gave him another swipe.

It didn't matter. He'd get them back.
