LOCATION: Unova Route 4

Dry winds pushed against Muirín as he trotted down the cracked pavement that made up the only road north out of Castelia. The goldeen boy could smell the night on that breeze, and the sound of it whipping in the distance started to give him a feel for the vast, open space before him, the emptiness of the desert. After spending so long in Castelia, the city and its lights at his back and already starting to fade from his immediate senses, the contrast was quite welcome. He'd really spent far too long in the city, and had seen far too much for one seating, and a little quiet time would prove perfect to digest everything that had happened on the long haul to Nimbasa City. And what came next, he didn't really know yet.

All that he had, for now, was the rapidly decaying pavement before him, already nearly giving way to sand and open air and night sky. Muirín had come far enough away from the city by now that the stars began to wink into sight, one by one, turning the inky expanse of sky from a vaguely gray swatch of cloth, stained by the million lights of Castelia, into a right mystic vista of constellations. The utter multitude of stars in the sky stunned him, and he stared up at them, reacquainting himself with a wonder he hadn't seen in nearly two weeks. As he gaped up, he failed to notice his finally stepping off of the pavement and into proper sand, a large chunk of black asphalt finally giving in under the tiny impact of his foot descending and sliding off into the sand, taking the boy with him.

Muirín stumbled, his balance lost and his sense of orientation temporarily destroyed as his focus on the stars took all of his agility with it. Instincts were instincts, though, and Mui quickly found himself, turning the graceless flounder into a somewhat more graceful recovery, his arms out and his head shooting up, pulling himself out of a nosedive. He regained his footing, as well as one can when up to the ankles in loose sand, and grinned at his victory over the elements.

”Was there ever really a doubt, though?” Mui asked, to nobody in particular. Taunting nature, really, for once again failing to best him, the intrepid and clumsy explorer. He oftentimes lost himself exploring and nearly killed himself in the process almost as often, and yet here he stood, staring up again at the stars, very much alive and breathing through time after countless time of saving himself with quick wit and quicker recoveries.

The stars, though... This was part of why Muirín had wanted to walk to Nimbasa, rather than finding his way back to another region. He'd heard from a few acquaintances that Route 4 had a nighttime sky that nothing could beat, and Muirín made it a point to get a look at anything he was told couldn't be beat.

He stood there a while longer, gazing up at the sky, his eyes full of stars and wonder.

It was dark and Henry was struggling to find a place to sleep for the night. Sometimes he wished that he was still a Joltik so he could at least climb a tree and curl up in its branches without a problem. It was a little more difficult with his human form and its hands and feet, neither of which stuck to anything... Unless they were covered in sugar or candy, but even that wasn't really good for climbing.

Heaving a sigh the small Gijinka strode down the cold asphalt, looking around for anyone, or anything that could help him in his search. Unfortunately it seemed that everyone but him had turned in for the night, everyone else having enough sense to find shelter for the evening before it got too dark. Shoulders slumping, he looked back up, blinking when he noticed someone walking not too far ahead of him, antennae perking a little; he wasn't quite as alone as he had thought!

Biting his lip, Henry broke into a jog, blinking when the person who had been in front of him seemed to veer off course. His bottom lip pushed out a little in a small pout; his small legs could only carry him so quickly. However he finally managed to catch up to where the individual had disappeared and peered around, blinking when he found him to be staring up at the sky a short distance away.

Blinking the Joltik, slowly moved after him, making sure not to trip in the sand as he did so, frowning a little as some of the fine grains slipped into his blue tennis shoes; Joltiks were not meant for sandy places. Finally he clasped his hands in front of himself, shuffling towards the stranger, suddenly feeling nervous as he moved to stand next to him, keeping his distance for now, following the other male's gaze skyward tilting his head a little; he'd never really taken the time to stare up at the night sky...

"I-I..." Henry began, biting his lip for a moment before continuing. "W-what are you doing...?"
