Story:
Angus, Tirren, and Garin all begin this journey in the city of Whiteshore. Whiteshore is the capitol of Lorindar - the city, though small, is quite busy. Among the vast opportunities that Lorindar holds, the city is home to several guilds. Three stand out above the rest:
1. The Arcane Order is a very restricted guild. Home to wizards, as well as other arcane casters, it has an expansive knowledge of the arcane arts and strives to master their uses. The guild keeps two halls in Lorindar. The first guild hall is open to the public, so that anyone may come and request the guild’s services or seek aid. This is also where the guild’s members can come to rest and to receive jobs. The second is restricted to guild members who have achieved the rank of Mage of the Arcane Order (level 4). Nothing is publically known of this guild hall except its location.
2. The Arathean Star is known for its adventurers and for working hand in hand with the public. The guildmaster is hard on her members and expects them to fulfill their tasks under any circumstances. She expects excellence, and trains her members to expect the same from themselves as well as their colleagues. There is only one guild hall owned by this guild in Lorindar, and its doors are open to anyone in need of the guild’s services - so long as that person has business with the guild and is willing to provide their identification papers before entering.
3. The Knights of Midnight is a guild that is known in very few circles. Whispers tell that the guild is an assassins’ and thieves’ guild, or that it is a holy order of paladins and clerics charged by the Church of Fae, or even that the guild was solely founded to protect the royal family. There are also several lesser guilds, each playing their own role in Lorindar.
Angus, Tirren, and Garin have been invited to, and have gone through the admissions procedures for The Arathean Star. You have all received a message, telling you when to report to the Guild Hall for initiation and for assignments at 10 am the following day.
There are two guards at the Guild Hall gate as you approach, both dressed in full plate armor. They each have a longsword at their hip and have a halberd in their hand. As you approach, they signal you to stop. “Produce your papers and state your business here,” the guard on the left demands.

Garin and Tirren hand over their papers to the guard on their respective side of the cart. "We received a summons for our initiation." Garin says. "Will you let us through?"

*Angus stands there smoking his pipe, and with his right hand fetching the papers from his satchel all while looking at the guards before him.*
"Invitation."
Not to found of the door bell here.
*Angus after turning in his papers looks to the other two. Measuring their worth is going to be hard.*

The guards inspect the invitations, and look the three travelers over, before stepping aside. "Master Talia is waiting for you in the meeting hall. After you enter the gate, turn to the right and head up the staircase. Enter the red door at the top of the stairs."

"Where can we leave our cart and pony?" Tirren asks, speaking up for the first time.

"Our stable hands will be over in a few minutes to take care of your cart. The stables are around back of the hall here."
No sooner than he finished his sentence, two younger boys come scurrying around the corner of the building.
"Its about time! I was getting ready to summon Fredrich," the other guard said. The two boys start stammering apologies and quickly the cart around back of the hall.

Garin and Tirren follow the guards instructions to the hall, and enter as he bid them to do.
(spot check or anything?)

*Angus silently watches the youngsters.*
It was so long ago that I was that young
*He starts to go inside and follow the guards directions.*

As you enter the guild hall, the candles lining the walls seem to flicker. There is a large red and golden rug spread on the floor under your feet, extending forward to the grand staircase. There is a desk to the left of the door, with a stack of blank parchment, a rather large bottle of green ink, and a small white quill pen. Above the desk hangs a large board covered with notices. There are two smaller staircases, one on either side of the grand staircase that lead to higher floors. People are hurrying to and fro in the hall, carrying scrolls, weapons, and bottles from one place to another. The red door at the top of the right hand staircase has a golden star engraved on the door:

With all this red, I sure hope I'm not standing in failure.
*Angus keeps to the directions given at the door*

We are surrounded by the colors of war and victory. May this stand as a good omen. Garin thinks.
Garin and Tirren follow the silent man. Garin continues to puzzle over him in silence while Tirren looks around in wonder.

*Angus steps to the red door and knocks trice before entering. Upon entering he looks around while standing in place just out of the way for the others to enter.*
And what do my eyes see?
