she walks into the room and notices her roommate wasnt in there. she sighs and takes the right side of the room. starts putting up posters of runic magic and things of the like that look like study guides for different forms of magic, fighting styles, and monsters."i hope he's nice atleast.... and not perverted..."she puts out a black and red bedset on the bed she was at. then she sets all her clothes into one side of her closet. she sighs knowing she should have brought more but she had only gotten a few pairs of clothing and a pair of boots. plus her Unseelie cloak which she always wore. maybe he'll be friends with meshe thought hopefully.

Well, time moves forward...
Walking through the dorm hallways, Assai had his large gourd strapped to his back with a brown sash, his hazel eyes focused on a small piece of paper in his hands and his headphones in his ears. He had climbed the stares to get to the second floor of the building and noticed that his room was a double bed, but he didn't mind. While he passed the dorms, he found his own and slide his key into the knob and opened the door to see that a girl was inside. Standing there for a moment, Assai processed the idea of having a female as a roommate while his eye stared at her with their original lazy look.
After a few moments of staring at this girl, he closed the door behind him and stood out in the hall. "Is this right?" He asked himself staring at the sheet of paper then back at the room number. They matched perfectly. "Maybe I'm holding it the wrong way." He turned it upside down and flipped it around. There was no mistaking it. He was in a co-environment room.
Sighing in defeat, Assai opened the door once again and noticed that she had claimed a side of her room alright. He didn't mind anything that she had on. "Sorry about earlier," He apologized closing the door behind him and walking over to her, holding out his hand to her. "I'm Assai, you can call me Sai if you want, though." He told her, while pulling out one of his headphone so that he could hear her response.

She giggles watching him stare at her, from under her hood, then walk out of the room. she had sat back on her bed and started to read when he came back in she put her book down and looked at him smiling slightly. she listened to him with her head tilted slightly as she assesses him. then she replies in a soft, but musical voice that honestly seemed like it was made to entrap people."Its okay. I am sorry no one told you i would be here. or if you dont like it, i can ask for another room if you wish."she smiles politely drawing her black cloak around her tighter. she had asked to be roomed with a guy. she didnt have good experiences with other girls. she hugged the cloak just hard enough her arms were exposed. on one she bore the birthmark saying she was the next for the Unseelie Throne. the other had many bruises from others. i'll have to ask for a single if this doesnt work out...she sighs. "My name is Safyre, but you can call me Saffy please."

Well, time moves forward...
While he pulled his head in to stare at her previously, Assai heard her giggle but wasn't affected by it. The general idea of him poking his head through the door to see a female already inside seemed to have been rather strange in itself. It was unusually for someone to do that, but Assai did in order to determine whether someone was in the room or not. Truth be told, he requested a random room and didn't even know if he was going to be living with anyone or if he was going to be in a single. All he knew was he was going to have a box room with a bed and blanket. He wasn't at all picky as to anything else.
After he had walked in, he listened to her and heard her speaking to him with a voice similar to that of the taste to honey, but Assai's lethargic expression didn't really change, other than his lips, which turned into a light smile. He was glad that his roommate was kind. "I'm not picky with who I am roomed with, I just didn't expect to have a female as a roommate." He told her as he moved over to his bed and pulled his Sand Gourd off his back and placed it at the foot of his bed. He leaped onto the soft bed and placed his hands behind his head, his eyes closed as he listened to her utter her name. It was really unique and different from the names he usually encountered.
Turning his head to face her, Assai sat up. "That's a really cool name." He told her as pointed to himself with in index finger. "I'm Assai, but I don't mind if you call me Sai, okay?" He told her as he laid back down on his bed, realizing her arms had little markings on it, which made him feel as if he must use that as a topic to start a conversation.
"So you have tattoos?" Inquired Assai as he had his hands behind his head and his eyes closed, waiting to listen to her voice while in his other ear he had music playing softly so to keep from under hearing her voice.

She nods at his explanation then smiles"okay then"she smiles again quiet happy now. then she hears him comment on her marks and gasps noticing finally that they showed. she hides them quickly then shows them again knowing he had already seen them. "Okay, Sai. um... yeah. they mark my heritage and my past, i guess. if you ask about them im sure i could tell you more..."

Well, time moves forward...
Listening to her reaction to him commenting on her tattoos, Assai slightly jumped up in shock, thinking that something had happened and turned to see that she was okay and nothing outrages had happened. "Your heritage and past?" Confused with what she was talking about, Assai sat up, leaning against the wall as he was sitting on his bed, his arms crossed as he watched Saffy. "Alright, explain to me what you mean by all of this." He asked as he sat patiently, knowing that her story would be something painful, being that she made the attempt to hide them after he made the comment about them.

She closes her eyes for a second and then shows her right wrist with the birthmark."this represents that i'm someone. that im not just another person in my kingdom that everyone can look down on. it shows that i am royal and it garantees me to be accepted anywhere i go that has other unseelie fae in it. but it also shows the light that i am next in line for the Dark throne. so it marks me as a target."she talks quietly looking around from time to time to see if anyone was outside the door or window to listen in on her tale. she looks down at her left with some shame and sorrow. she fingers the marks there that look like seperate feathers. it was noticable that they were done at different times from one another. there were a few clustered together that looks like they were done at one time, though. there were atleast 30 of them on her arm that could be seen "these are more... badges to my people then anything else. each feather represents a Seelie, or light, fae kill that i have made. the first one, here on my wrist, was the man that killed my mother. some of them were for things like that. some were in battles. others were because i was ordered to do it. i hate these almost everytime i look at them. i wont mind if you think they are stupid or something."

Well, time moves forward...
Assai listened to her speaking of her royal bloodline, understanding that she was in danger, even in a place like thing. He sighed lightly, thinking of something that may help her, but only one thing came to mind and it was going to be bothersome to him, but whatever it took to ease her a bit. "I'll protect you from anyone that comes by and tries to hurt you okay?" He told her, lightly smiling at her. "I may not look like much, but deep down, I have a lot of strength and I will use that strength to protect you, so you don't need to worry about people hurting you." He told her, now knowing that he had made a vow to protect her. This wasn't his intention, but it was all slipping out of his lips, so he cannot back down now.

She looks at him confused and worried."you seem like a nice person, Sai but why would you do something like that for me? you just met me. and i dont want you to get hurt if something bad happens."she sighs and looks out the window, wondering why this boy who didnt know her would vow to protect her. her own people didnt want to protect her. thats why she was there. she sighs again and looks back at him. "i dont know if i should except your vow. you dont really know what my enemies look like do you?"

Well, time moves forward...
He continued to listen to her speaking of him as if he weren't that strong, but who would assume that he was strong? "Your right, that's crazy of me." He replied to her, scratching the back of his head a bit. "But.. I would hate to see my roommate harmed when I could have done something to help." He told her, simply using the fact that they were going to live together as an excuse, but for the time being, it seemed to be the most important thing to him. "But, if you don't really want my help, then I guess it can't be helped." He told her, throwing his head to his pillow and laying with his hands behind his head as he closed his eyes, slowly resting a bit. He was exhausted, but knew that it would be rude of him to fall asleep without a conclusion, so for right now, he was going to relax a bit.

She looks at him and sighs."you arent crazy but before you go and make a vow such as that to protect the princess of a place you may not have been to, then you should learn about my enemies and my people first."she smiles. she really wanted him to be a friend, and maybe an ally if her enemies found her. he seemed competent enough. she offered him a choice: "and i may need you to help me. but i would like to teach you about how things in my world work before that time."

Well, time moves forward...
Assai turned his attention towards Saffy as she explained that he could help her only if he knew something of her country. Of course, this would mean learning something that he might have no interest in. A sighed softly in his mind and pulled his head from his pillow, his eyes closed as he scratched the back of his head softly. "Alright, I'll listen." He smiled as his eyes opened, awaiting her long or short explanation.

The Seelie, which are the light. and The Unseelie, which are the dark. they have been at war since the time their common enemy fell. so about three or four thousand years. i am of the Unseelie"she smiles. she had never told anyone about her ways"the Seelie look down on use because we are less high and mighty. we do not kill needlessly and when we are upset or feeling any great emotion, we have the need for contact with another. the Seelie say this is a sign of weekness. We both however serve Danu, our goddess. we both have artifact weapons, many of them, that were made to hurt the other. the Seelie are the ones after me. they are confident in hand to hand and meelee weapons. the Unseelie are skilled in Magic which is the lights weakness."

Well, time moves forward...
Listening to her story, Assai focused and made the attempt to listen to her past. Of course, he didn't enjoy it, but if it would allow her to accept him, then why not? It would be better to know someone on the campus than to be alone, right? The story spoke of a war between two 'groups' and these groups were separated from light and dark. The light ground was thought to have been the good guys in Assai's mind, but it turned out to have been the opposite. The Light ground seemed to have the want to destroy the Dark group. This wasn't something that he enjoyed, but it was an interesting twist.
In the end, she continued to speak of the Light Group's strength, which was close range combat, and their weakness, magic. Unfortunately, he wasn't a magic user. He was a strong energy user and his close combat abilities were stronger than that of any ordinary persons. "Alright, so with all this going on, you are the next era to the throne and they want to discontinue the line of royalty from that of the Unseelie and that is why your a target?" He made the rest out of assumptions that he thought.
