Treasures were all around. Things that shined, gleamed, and sparkled. Some were dice. Some were gems. Some were gold. Most of the things around were his, but he noticed a few other things strewn about. A red hat rested by a set of medical blades. A silver bullet within a tiny vial hung from some psionic crystals jutting from the ground. A roll of fabric with some webbing stuck to it sat by the other items as well. There were a number of other familiar things there as well. Jericho looked them over with a sense of curiosity, smiling as they reminded him of his friends. He'd probably have to return them eventually, but he kind of liked having them here at the moment. Just a little longer, he'd hang onto them. His friends were a part of his treasure after all.

This was a pretty cool room.

He wondered what else was around here. Perhaps he would find some other things that would be pretty neat.

As he moved on around, he soon stopped as he saw another room up ahead. It was dark and he couldn't really see what was in there. It didn't look particularly welcoming, however. It wasn't long before the dragon continued to walk towards it. He wasn't sure why, but he couldn't help but keep moving into the darkness slowly. His eyes widened as he realized this. He didn't want to go there, and yet it was like his body was moving all on its own. There was just something about the tunnel that kept drawing him in. Jericho just wasn't sure what that was. Regardless, he didn't want any of it. It was something bad. It had to be.

Voices began to come to him. At first, he thought these were the usual voices whispering him as of late, but there was something more strikingly familiar about these. Because of them, he managed to stop himself completely for the time being. Something wasn't right here.

In fact, it felt terribly wrong.

They were still hard to make out word for word, but he knew he had heard these voices before. Around him, the forms of a certain pricolici, plague doctor, spider, kelpie, various reapers, and others flickered in and out of his vision. His friends were accusing him of a number of things. Why had he infected her? Why did he attack him? Why didn't he notice? These were just a few of the things whispered into his ears, angry and confused. They were all muddled together, making it difficult to completely hear one or another. That was, until one particular voice rang out above all the others. All the rest went completely silent and their shaded figures pulled back and away from his peripherals.

Where were you? You are my right hand man... I needed you Jericho. Why didn't you come?

Her voice echoed through his mind and he felt his heart skip a beat as he looked around. She was nowhere to be seen at the moment, but he knew exactly who it was regardless. There was absolutely no doubt within him. It couldn't be anyone else but her really.

You've abandoned me. I thought I could count on you.. I thought I could trust you. But you weren't there. I fell. I was falling, Jericho. You promised you would always catch me. You promised.

Around that time, something reached out from the darkness, grabbing Jericho by the ankles and knocking him to the ground. Slowly they began to pull him deeper into the abyss. With a roar, he turned himself to try and claw himself back. He flapped his wings furiously to try and get himself away that way. Now with his back turned from the room, he could see a collection of shadowed figures standing in the distance, staring at him. Their silhouettes were just barely distinguishable enough for him to know who they were. And yet, they didn't move to help him. They were there, simply watching as he was being dragged off. In the middle of the lot, were a pair of glowing white eyes. There was a certain coldness in that gaze that seemed to pierce his very core. It was incredibly chilling.

The eyes flashed red for a brief second.

But you didn't catch me.

She was right. He didn't.

Staring at the group for a moment or so, the dragon simply gave up. Jericho had promised he would always be there for her. He had even received the mark for it. And yet... she was now dead. He had broken his promise to her. The dragon couldn't even be there for her in her final moments. Closing his eyes, his struggling ceased, and he was pulled away into the oblivion where whatever was at the end of the tunnel awaited.
