Basically, this is for anything that doesn't have its own individual topic on its own but is still related to the town of Karakura, Japan.

Sorera no kisu Don'yokuna
It was a beautiful day. This was one of those days that Mint couldn't deny the beauty that surrounded her. She was sure her best friend, Akeno was out skipping around like a free range doe in the spring. Mint on the other hand was stuck indoors with her boring manager. His only cares seemed to be her image and how she looked to other people. Apparently, the bad independent girl was in this season and he wanted her to start dressing more like a trouble maker then the beautiful and kind person she was. Mint refused to dress in such a unkempt manner. Little girls around here looked up to her, some of them idolized her. How would she look to them if she started dressing like a bad girl? No, she wouldn't do it. She drew the line there. She couldn't let little girls think it was okay to dress like your going to cause trouble. However, it seemed like her manager was holding her prisoner until she agreed to this new image. He was trying different arguments and different angles but yet he still didn't touch the subject about the young children who looked up to her. He knew it was wrong and that it would look horrible to them. "I am sorry Takagi san! But I cannot agree to this new image idea. I have to hold strong, now more then ever. If this image of the 'bad girl' is in so much I must dress more proper more then ever. If little girls see that I am not giving into the peer pressure then I'll be setting a better example for the future generations!" She replied firmly. Yes, Mint could be a Diva sometimes but she cared about her fans. She had a big number of fans that were in their early teens. In a world that was filled with bad examples, she was determined to set a good one for the young generation. Takagi looked at her with a unconvinced expression then it looked like suddenly something hit him like a ton of bricks. He had an idea, this made Mint rolled her eyes. "Of course! That would look great! We can put it in magazines! Imagine it on the front page! 'Pop sensation Mint Hashimoto doesn't fold under peer pressure!' its perfect! Your such a little genius! I could kiss you!" He declared with so much excitement that you would thought he was some twelve year old school girl.
Mint cringed a bit at the idea of him kissing her. But she knew the elder gentlemen wasn't serious. Mint looked at him with surprise at how she turned what she had just said into some kind of news that the media could report. He oddly seemed to be really good at doing it. This wasn't the first time. Mint watched as he scampered out the door, nearly stumbling. Mint blinked and let out a sigh of relief bringing a hand up to her waist giving herself a sort of attitude look. "Finally! Hes gone! I don't know why he has to make everything so difficult," Mint turned her body and looked out the window, the sun's rays were shining into the room and landing on her face. Warming her cheeks. It was nice to feel. Her dangle earings hit her neck a bit as she turned so quickly. She looked a little sad. It was on days like this where she felt a little lonely that she thought about her father. She always wondered about him. If he even thought about her like she thought about him? She didn't even know her father and yet, she wondered so much about him. How can you be so curious about someone you never even had the chance to know and had walked out on his family? She forced thoughts of her father to the back of her mind and thought about something far more important at least to her. Akeno. The poor girl must be so bored without her. Then again, Akeno also seemed to be very good at somehow finding something to do to occupy her time.
Mint giggled at the idea of how silly her long time best friend could be and headed out the door. Leaving the building, she walked down the street. She wasn't quite sure where her best friend could be. There was an adorable little cafe' that her best friend did enjoy because she was sugar addict. Mint figured she would try looking there first for her sugar craving friend. If she wasn't there, she knew she could get a really good piece of cake while she was looking.

Akeno Yoshida Akeno was not your average run of the mill cookie cutter kind of girl. Akeno had spunk and personality. She was very colorful and vibrant. She was not afraid to speak her mind and could look you in the eye and tell you how it was. Akeno also was hard to be around, some people found her to be a little annoying or she had too much energy for them to handle. Akeno never seemed to run out of energy, she seemed like she was an endless pit of it. She also doesn't have the world's best attention span but she wasn't stupid. She always had made better grades in school then her best friend Mint. Akeno was a straight A student. She seemed to be full of knowledge, a lot of it seemed to be about anime. She couldn't help it, Akeno was a sucker for a good manga or anime.
Akeno right now faced a huge challenged in front of her face right now. She had this cake, three pieces. Red velvet with a creamy sweet icing temping her. Akeno wanted to eat them all up. But she couldn't, she already ate one and two of them were for her best friend Mint who had told her that she would meet her at the cafe' last night before they got off the phone. Akeno had a feeling that Mint forgot about their engagement to meet up. Or she got super busy with being famous that she couldn't make it on time. Either way, Mint was an hour late. Akeno stared at the three pieces. Surely her best friend wouldn't know if she ate three pieces of cake instead of just two. After all Mint was running really late and she couldn't just let perfectly good cake go to waste. Akeno sipped on a frappe' that could put a ten year old into a sugar coma as she thought of what she should do about the cake. What would be their fate?

Mint's heels clicked as she walked on the sidewalk. She was dressed like a true one of the kind diva. She wore a short school girl like skirt with a chain of charms hanging off her waist. Mint then had a sweet adorable white tank top and a shawl of a dark peach color that added a nice flavor to her outfit.
Mint stopped and looked around, it was here. Yesterday, she had seen one of those ghosts again. Here, just across the road. Now it wasn't here. In fact, this street seemed rather barren with only a few people walking along the path. Yes, it was days like this that she wasn't sure if she was going crazy or not. A small part of her even wished that ghost she saw was here still so she wouldn't think she was going insane. Something to confirm that it was real and she wasn't just seeing things.
Mint let out a long sigh before walking onward along the sidewalk. It seemed that she was right about where Akeno would be found. Naturally the girl had cake and some kind of evil coffee that could hurt someone. "Why am I not surprised that your here... Seriously, how are you not diabetic with how much sweets you devour?" Mint asked then she shook her head. She couldn't believe how much sweets her best friend consume in a day. She was almost sure that she ate her own weight in sweets on a daily basis.

Akeno Yoshida Akeno looked up at her friend and blinked in surprise at what she said to her. She slowly pushed the cake more towards Mint almost as in a sort of offering. "But... But... Cake, Mint... Its cake!"Akeno made a slight whimpering sound as people looked at her oddly. This wasn't uncommon. You really get use to people staring at you like your some out of control twelve year old. Then she blinked looking at the people around her before she turned and looked at Mint.
Something had dawned on her. She had told Mint to meet her here. How did she not know she was here when she had told after she had told her about about her big brother getting up late and having to rush to work."How did you not know that I was here? I told you to meet me here!" she said in a kinda hurt tone. How could her dear friend forget about their plan to meet up here?

Mint looked at her friend and shook her head. She couldn't believe how good of a friend she had. But she had to admit one thing to her friend "Sorry I tune out half of the things you say," Mint said in a soft tone then she looked on with such a blush on her face. She couldn't help but feel a little bad, cause obvious this was important to her best friend. Mint was surprised at how easily her friend forgave someone, it was one of the many things that she loved about her best friend.
Mint then turned her head. It was that ghost that she had saw before. He was standing across the road. Standing there and just staring straight at her. It gave her a odd feeling in the pit of her stomach. As if something really bad was about to happen and just then she blinked as she heard people screaming and getting up and moving away in a panic. Mint felt something, a sensation in her side. She also noticed that there was a woman with long black hair right up next to her. Mint looked down. There was a knife in her side, her eyes widened as she saw blood running down. Akeno had been knocked over and was now on the ground staring at her in horror and fear.
Mint watched as the girl pulled the blade right out of her side and pain started to set in. She grabbed her side that was pouring down blood. 'What? What has just happened? I was stabbed? WHO IS THIS WOMAN?' her mind was in a panic and riddled with so many different thoughts. She didn't understand. The woman looked at her with tears in her eyes, she looked like some emo goth girl, she didn't know this girl. She didn't know this girl at all. Why did she stab her?"Your too perfect! You can't be so perfect! There has to be something wrong with you! How does a b***h like you become famous?!" The girl cried. Apparently this girl wasn't some fan of her. But one of the crazed people that were against her.
The goth girl pursued forward and held out the blade again and stabbed her again and again. She gave her three new fresh stab wounds, all that were now bleeding heavily. 'How could this be happening to me?' she thought horrified. She stumbled backwards knocking over chairs and tables, blood was everywhere. 'So much blood,' she cried in her mind. There was tears in her eyes. This woman was relentless and was going to kill her. She turned her head back towards where the ghost stood on the other side of the street. The ghost seemed horrified watching her. At least from what Mint could see. Her tears were obstructing her vision. Mint held out a bloody hand to the ghost almost as if begging for help from the spirit that was watching her die. 'Please! You must be able to do something! Anything!' she plead in her head. But it did nothing, it stood there frozen in fear just like her dear best friend, Akeno.
The woman's footsteps were like hammers, pounding against the ground. She was wearing combat boots. Ones with silver skulls on them, now stained a bit with her crimson blood. She approached her with the knife standing over Mint, raising the blade over her. Mint's eyes widened and she brought her hands up trying to stop the girl. Trying to reason with her. "No! No! Wait! Please! Stop! Don't! NOOOOOO!" Mint screamed out horrified and pleading for her life. It was useless, the woman leaned down and started to stab her again. Brutal stabbings that were just again and again. The smell of blood was in the air. Mint was screaming, in agony, pain, and fear. But oddly to Mint, she couldn't even hear her own screams. All she felt was the raw fear of this all. She was going to die.
Finally the goth girl stopped and backed away dropping the weapon and running away. Mint was fading fast, she was choking on her own blood. It was so hard to breath, her lungs felt ready to burst. She turned over and looked at the ghost one last time. Mint reached out to the ghost and reached hard. She looked like she was trying to say something but everything started to fade to black. Death. It seemed it didn't grant anyone anymore time. Her time was now. How cruel this be her fate and all her dream and hopes were over. She was finished.
Mint's soul left her body, soon she was just looking at her own dead body. She blinked. She didn't know what to do but she blinked and looked over at the ghost. The ghost motioned for her to come over to him. Mint walked over to the ghost. 'I... I... I am actually dead?' she thought, she was so shocked and surprised. About that time some weird guy dressed in some odd outfit with a sword walked up to the both of them. Mint blinked so confused. She didn't really know what was going on. 'He must be some kind of Reaper...' she thought. "Come with me!" the male reaper told the two of them. He then lead them both through a portal. 'Worse day ever!' was all Mint could think.

Akeno Yoshida Akeno laughed as her friend told her that she hardly paid any attention to what she said. That sounded just like her best friend. Akeno knew that she was a hard person to handle being around. Mint was the only person in her whole life that really could truly put up with her. Her brother did very well but her older brother had raised her and was her blood. It was a special case.
Akeno watched as a gothic girl came up and just shoved her out of the way and to the ground. The gothic girl pulled out a knife and stabbed her best friend. "Mint!!"Akeno screamed out horrified. She sat there frozen. She didn't know what to do, she was at a loss for words and movement. She was powerless to watch her best friend being stabbed to death, the knife going into her best friend's flesh over and over again.
Akeno was shaking and she felt her heart racing. Akeno watched as her best friend's spirit left her body and was led away by some guy in a weird outfit. She stayed there even while the police got there and questioned her. It was like pulling teeth to get her to talk. After all was said and done, she couldn't do anything else but call her big brother. She didn't think she was even cable of making it home on her one. She pulled out her cell phone and dailed his number with shaking hands.

Aki walked along the road having gotten off work just a few minutes ago and was on his way home. Stopping for a second and looking off in the distance as he felt something for the briefest of moments he shook his head dismissing such thoughts. There was nothing he needed to be doing at the moment aside from doing a little bit of straightening up around the house he shared with his younger sister. His quincy cross rested in his pocket, a constant reminder of his family legacy, as well as the fact that is brother was gone. Face showing his displeasure with the thought he slipped a hand into his pocket.
His phone went off and hearing the ringtone reserved for his sister, Aki took it out of his pocket and looked at it a moment in confusion. Shouldn't she be with Mint right now out having fun and not calling her brother? Flipping it open and answering the call, Aki brought the phone up to his air. "Something wrong?" Answering in his usual pleasant tone he could tell from the breathing over the phone that something was wrong.
"Akeno? Are you okay?" Concern present the second time he spoke he searched visibly on the horizon and focusing on his sister's unique reiatsu he began walking rapidly in her direction while waiting for her to answer. Something was wrong and the thing he felt earlier probably had something to do with it. His free hand found it's way into his pocket and grasped the quincy cross inside ready to pull it out and use it at a moments notice.

Akeno Yoshida Akeno was shaking still as her brother answered the phone. She was trying to find the words to speak but she was so traumatized and couldn't think of anything to say. Everything was so hard to focus on. All she could see in her head was Mint being stabbed to death and all the blood. How stupid she was for not doing anything. Akeno started to cry on the phone and fell to her knees. "Mint... She... Shes dead... I couldn't help...."Akeno whined out to her brother through her crying.
Akeno felt so powerless. There was blood on Akeno's clothes, it was Mint's blood and blood on her hands where she tried to do what she could to bring Mint back. But it was no use. One of those reaper people had taken her soul away. Akeno was now all alone. The police didn't take her in, twenty people told the police that she didn't do it, they had witnessed a gothic girl commit the crime. Akeno was off the hook, the officers just told her to go home and get some rest.

Aki froze as his sister finally spoke his eyes widening at the news. Mint was dead? How was that possible? Was it a hollow? Reaching out with his senses he didn't sense even a single one in Karakura Town currently. Was it just a random act of violence? Maybe a shinigami killed her? So many questions and yet knowing his sister as well as he did he knew she needed him more than he needed answers. "I'll be there shortly Akeno." Not bothering to explain how he would find her or anything to that nature Aki entered into Hirenkyaku at a high speed and continuously used it until Akeno was within sight at which time he slowed down hanging up the phone.
"Akeno? I'm sorry." He should have been with them to protect them. Then maybe his sister wouldn't be feeling the way she currently was. Taking his hand out of his pocket he left his cross inside holding his arms out in front of him as a silent offer of solace for his sister. He was rendered speechless by the random act. Usually he knew exactly what to say in situations like this. Usually it wasn't concerning Akeno's best friend dying though. "What happened?" If this did turn out to be hollow related he was going to be beyond angry.

Akeno Yoshida Akeno didn't questioned how her brother knew where she was or how he got there so fast, all she knew was he was there now. Akeno rushed at him and wrapped her arms around her older brother sobbing. She felt safe and secure now that he was here. "I don't know... There... Some girl... She stabbed Mint... To death"Akeno some how got out through her historical sobbing.
Akeno had never seen such a horrible act of violence from one person to another person. Akeno was beyond words. Her best friend was gone, she just had her brother now. Akeno was still trembling like a leaf as she held onto her brother.

Aki let his sister wrap her arms around him letting his own arms do the same as he patted her on the back. A sigh escaped his lips as he stared down the street ever vigilant for any other unseen dangers. As Akeno explained what had happened in broken sobs, Aki bit his lip. If her spirit wasn't around he would have been found by a shinigami and sent to Soul Society. As much as Aki hated to speak of shinigami his sister might find solace in the fact that while she was dead, she wasn't gone forever. There was still a chance they could meet again some day. "I know it's hard Akeno, but you might still see her someday."
With another look around to make sure no one was listening in he continued as vaguely as he possibly could. "You see when someone dies. Sometimes a figure in black shows up and sends them to another place, where they still live in a sense. So you might very well see Mint again some time in the future." It was the best he could manage without destroying what innocence his sister had towards the world of quincy and shinigami.
Hopefully she didn't want too much information about everything. Aki doubted she was ready to learn about her heritage. She deserved to remain ignorant about everything a little longer. "Is there anything you would like to do?" At the moment Aki would do whatever she wanted. He just wanted his sister to stop sobbing.

Akeno Yoshida Akeno looked at Aki as he told her about a figure in black. "Oh you mean the Reapers... Yes, a Reaper did come take her spirit away,"Akeno said in a soft tone as she looked around her. Mint's spirit was probably long gone now, off in another world that welcomed her in open arms.
Akeno stood there, she was still covered in her best friend's blood. She wanted to get home and get it cleaned off her. It was horrifying her just to have the blood on her body. "Can we go home brother?" Akeno asked her brother in a sad tone. She just wanted to get out of the eyes of people.

Aki glanced down at his sister as she spoke of a reaper coming and taking Mint's soul away. Surprise present on his face as he looked at her. She could see them? Aki shouldn't have been surprised and yet he still liked to think of Akeno as his baby sister and therefore to hear such a thing naturally surprised him. While he didn't want her thinking of shinigami as friends, Getting her to stop being upset was higher on the priority list. Later there would be time for hatred. Though with Mint going to Soul Society there was the possibility of her becoming one of them. "Yes I mean the reapers. They did her no harm. They saved her from a darker existence."
Finishing just as Akeno spoke of going home Aki nodded to her. The blood on his sister was horrifying. Leaning forward to press his lips to her forehead he spoke quietly. "Yes let's get you home. There will be time later to speak of such things. Do you need me to carry you home?" Aki asked the question, referring to the times when they were younger and he would give her piggyback rides. She still seemed weakened by he whole ordeal. It wasn't terribly surprising, but it could make walking home troublesome for her. And the last thing Aki wanted right now was to make things even harder on his little sister. She had already been through enough today.

Akeno Yoshida Aki made Akeno feel better just by being present right here right now. What she had just saw had rattled her. She couldn't even explain to another person how she felt right now. Akeno looked down at her bracelet that her mother gave her. A little angel charm dangled off of it waving back and forth. Akeno couldn't believe this. How could all this happened so fast. 'Mother... How could I be so helpless? How could I not have helped my friend... This is all my fault, why am I not strong like my brother?' she thought in her head. Her thoughts were filled with sarrow and she could feel tears filling her eyes once again.
Akeno looked at him.' "I know... The reapers keep the boogie men things away... The ones that wear the masks,"Akeno replied in a soft tone to Akihiko. Her brother always seemed to know the right things to say to her. He was always the voice of reason and so calm. Akeno admired that in her brother, how he could be so collected in the worse situations. "Yes, it would be nice if you could carry me home, Nii sama," Akeno whimpered out. How terrible this day had been, she had lost her childhood friend. Her best friend and she had to watch as that best friend was stabbed to death and now her blood was all over her.
