Caleigh caught sight of the clouds rolling in and decided it would be best to wrap up her daily rounds a little sooner today. Oh how the flowers would be so excited to have water! Once she was satisfied the small blooms were set, and the weeds pulled out away from them, she headed off to find shelter. Unlike the plant life, she wasn't as excited to get drenched today. But the water started to fall quicker than she expected, and by the time she'd found cover under a tree her hair was dripping. Oh the wonders of Spring, she thought as she shook the water off.

Araucaria wandered lost in in thought, not even noticing at the heavens poured forth their contents on him. At first he thought the trickle down his face was tears. He was a little shocked to be crying...but since he had found out it had occurred from time to time. But as the water began to pour down his face, he realized that he wasn't crying and that this was rain. He looked up dimly at the sky wondering why it could not have rained the night his family died? Might they still be alive? Would he have finally seen them or was that all just the loss talking? He ducked his head down and headed toward the canopy of the tree, and shook off all the water--causing it to fly off of him like a dog.

"Hm? Oh it was nothing. I just want to make sure I didn't hurt you," she offered a smile. "My name's Caleigh. Nice to meet you, though it's too bad it has to be a day like this. Unless you like rain, then it's probably a good day!" She didn't seem to sense his being thrown off balance, and just continued on as normal. She continued her circle that had been interrupted by their collision until she'd had her full look around and came back to stand in front of the stallion again.

Araucaria smiled as she buzzed around like a bee. He couldn' help but smile at her, she was kind of...infectious...maybe a little annoying when he couldn't make out what she was saying. She rotated around the tree and came back to him. "No, I'm fine. I hadn't noticed it was raining till I was soaked. I don't much like being soaked, but it kind of seems my luck recently." He could feel the smile falter from his face as he looked out as sheets of rain came down.

"Oh dear, I've said something wrong, haven't I? I'm sorry, sometimes you just have to tune me out, I would never notice anyway! Here I'll go sit over here, and you can be not sad anymore." She trotted around to the other side of the tree to stand there, as if not seeing her or having distance between them would make everything better. For whatever reason, she seemed to have a bit of a child's mindset. Everything can be fixed with one simple solution! .. Well sort of.

Araucaria was intrigued with her mindset. Did she really believe that out of sight meant out of mind? He let her go for a moment, lingering on his side of the tree before following her around. "It's not you. I just..." How did you say that you just found out that all of your family perished in a fire before you could make amends with them? How Exactly did you say that at all when you were the one who left and coudl ahve made amends so very long ago. He looked at her trying to figure what to say

And that's okay, you can talk when you're insides are ready. Sometimes the mind wants to do things but your insides tell you to stop. So you gotta wait for both of them to get along!" With a nod she looked back out to the world getting coated in raindrops. "Well I could say the rain brought me here," she giggled. "Because it's technically true. Othewise I was just in the area, checking on all the flowers and such. I kinda move around, so I guess it was luck that I happened to be here same as you."

Araucaria noddes his head as she spoke. It was true, he did want to but at the same time he felt almost like it was physically impossible for him to talk about it right now. He listened to her continue to speak and then he wrinkled his face as her words struck him, "What makes you think it was luck that brought you and I to share a tree? I've been far from the most welcoming and aquainting companion--yet you are kind to me." He felt a little confused

Caleigh tilted her head as she watched him curiously for a moment. He certainly was different from her and she wished she knew what was plaguing the poor guy, but then as a stranger, she really had no right to pry into his private thoughts. Although she wished there was a way to help. "So what do you plan to do once the rain stops?"

"Honestly, I have no idea. I have no home. No fa-" he cut himself off. He couldn't bring himself to say the word family outloud. "I have nothing. There's not place I stay, no place to call my home--not yet anyways. I guess, I'll just keep moving." He paused, "What about you? Where will you go from here?"
