After a couple of days, Mitzi was starting to wonder how everyone else was doing. She still felt jumpy, on edge; as she wandered the campus, just for something to do, everything seemed eerily quiet and tense. It was better than sitting in her room all day, but not by a whole lot. As she wandered outside, she pulled up the contacts in her eyephone, scrolling down. There was more than one name where she stopped, hesitated for a moment, and then typed out a message and sent it. She'd worked her way through most of the list by the time she reached Whisper, and she hadn't received any immediate replies, so she sent one to her as well.

Whisper had not been handling the after math of the clans well. She had become someone there that she did not like. It was clearly what her family had warned of. Her deeper, darker side was beginning to slip out. Was it right for her to even stay at the school? What if she couldn't control herself? Even worse...what if she just became someone else. Whisper could wake up tomorrow and not recognize herself. She could wind up like her dad, off her rocker and violent. Everything was uncertain. She knew she couldn't tell anyone, how could they ever understand? Almost on cue her phone began to buzz. It was surprisingly Mitzi. She stared at the screen, reading the words over and over. She kept typing replies and erasing them. Some of them were lies, saying everything was perfect, others were just typed rants and raves of a seemingly insane person. Eventually she settled and hit send. Text to Mitzi I got back just fine. Can't say everythings ok though.

The Reaper ghoul hadn't wandered too much further by the time her phone started buzzing, which, as much as it made her jump, was also a relief. A part of her had almost been wondering if anyone was going to reply, and it was nice to see that wasn't the case. She was a little surprised to see the first response was from Whisper, and the anxiety that seemed ever present since she returned spiked again when she read the message. Was she... did she also... If Roch was right, and whatever this was was caused by the phoenix, then probably. She took a deep breath, stealing herself, and then sent a response.

Upon reading the reply, Whisper raised a brow. She hadn't really been hearing anything other then herself yelling in her own mind. But maybe that was just how the...insanity...was manifesting in her. Or it could be the moment she had been dreading since her ritual. Either way...she hated it. Whisper took in a deep breath, and began to type. Text to Mitzi Would you like to come over to my room? I feel like we should talk about things like this...face to face.

Mitzi let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding when she received the next text. Yes, face to face was better, probably shouldn't be sending that sort of stuff over texts. She tapped out another reply. Then as she waited for a response, she turned her path towards the demon dorms.

Whisper was torn. Her room was dishevelled as a whole, and there wouldn't be nearly enough time to clean it. She kicked some clothes under the bed and brushed her hair so it didn't look so unruly. She honestly had been hiding herself away, only leaving if it was absolutely necessary. She hadn't been social, for fear of pushing the few friends she had away. Even her pets were trying to get her to call people, consistently dropping her phone on her head. But now being anti-social wasn't really an option, considering she had invited Mitzi over.
It wasn't long after she had sent the text with her room number in it that she heard a knock at her door. She opened the door with a smile, even if it was forced. It wasn't so much because she wasn't happy to see the ghoul, she just didn't feel like smiling. She kinda just felt like eating a pint of eye scream, wrapped up in her blanket cocoon. "Come on in...make yourself at home. Sorry for the mess. I just haven't really had the motivation to clean."

The Reaper had paused for a moment before knocking on the door, but, well... Whisper was the one who had suggested this. After the demon opened the door, Mitzi gave her a slightly strained smile in return. "It's no problem. I... know the feeling."
She looked around, finding an open seat and taking it, although she stayed on the edge of it, just sort of perching. She wasn't sure why she felt so nervous... No, that wasn't true. She knew exactly why. There were things she wanted to talk about with someone she trusted and respected, and at the same time, very much did not want to talk about at all, and she didn't know whether or not she hoped they would come up.
She waited for Whisper to find her own place to sit, but wasn't willing to wait any longer, feeling like the emptiness needed to be filled with something other than the murmur of voices just below where she could understand them. By now she felt silly for mentioning them to Whisper, though, so she decided to start over. "So, how have you been doing since, you know... since we got back?"

"I'm not going to lie to you, not that ok. I don't feel like me anymore. I feel like we have all been lied to and mislead, turned against those who aren't the real enemy. I feel like a pawn in a game I never agreed to play." Whisper sat on her bed and let out a heavy sigh. "I remember who I used to be...so full of hope and ready to stand up and fight for what was right. And I mean...I still sorta feel that way. But the issue is what's right anymore? That's something I feel can't be based fully on personal belief. Not anymore really..."
She felt kind of bad for dumping all of this on the reaper girl, but maybe she could understand. She was there for at least this mess of crazy, and she saw how they were all twisted. "But I don't think I got as heavy of a dose of what some of you got...whatever it was. I only hear whispers once and awhile, and i have a butt load of nightmares. But I have been blaming those on, well, me."
