Fatal Irony Ol-j-man Alright! So I've heard the shorthand version of what's gonna happen the first time around for her, but some more details would be awesome. If you also have AIM, you can nab me at Mediciner1234 for faster chatting. 83 Bernard has no specific area of the Kawani lands he sticks to since he's terribly lost and thinks moving from place to place is what saves his hide. Well, let me run down who Caitlin is and why she is mean to begin with, and why there is a chance for redemption. It all starts with Inara, who is Caitlin's sister. As foals, their family was attacked, the foals were separated. Inara and Caitlin both had nasty falls, and Inara hit her head. They happened to be near the village, and the people took in the injured foal. Inara remembers nothing of her past. Caitlin, recovering from her fall, tries to reunite with Inara, only to find her within the village and apparently not even concerned over her lost sister or parents (who were killed in the attack, fending off whatever creature it was so the foals could escape). Caitlin never went to Inara, instead withdrew into the forest. She was taken in by a cruel soq (not sure if the plot with that PARTICULAR stallion is still standing, but I'm keeping it part of her story) and learned in order to survive in a world full of monsters, she needed to become one herself. MUCH later on, Caitlin discovers that Inara had had a daughter, Anita. Caitlin still harbors resentment towards her sister, but when she learned of her niece she decided to try to corrupt the innocent creature in order to rip her from Inara. This is ongoing. Caitlin pretends to be nothing but sweet and kind to Inara and Anita both, but subtly manipulates Anita to resent her own mother. Not sure how it will play out. This depends on Caitlin's interactions with males. That's where Jeremie comes in, her first fling. We haven't hashed it out too much yet, but he is pretty much just like her- dark and manipulative. Perhaps they meet and at first both think they are manipulating th other, only to figure out how alike they are. Caitlin will give in to the darkness then, allowing the stallion to feed on her blood and enjoying their carnal pleasure. However, the stallion will leave, and it will leave an unexpected emptiness in her heart. She'll come to realize how lonely she actually is, and in this fragile state she will be susceptible to Bernard's kindness and with him and Inara and Anita surrounding her, she will learn to turn from the darkness and possibly even forgive her sister for "abandoning" her so long ago. How does that sound?

Ol-j-man Fatal Irony Ol-j-man Fatal Irony Ol-j-man ][ Very nice! I even recognize a couple of the Soqs used (I know Dae even if I don't see him around so much). I could easily imagine Bernard being the humbly servant throughout all that, trying to insinuate how little he trusts the bloodthirsty creature and that his mistress (as he'd probably end up calling Cait) would be better off without him - and of course, not being confident or assertive enough, his warnings would go unheard until Jeremie suddenly leaves them with kids. And that's a whole 'bother world of craziness. XDI think that sounds perfect! Now we just need to hash out how they met in the first place and she became his "mistress". We can maybe rp a first meeting to feel it out, though i usually hate first meeting rps. I think in this case it would be beneficial. First meetings are hard for me to do too unless there's plot to be had, and in this case there definitely is! Now to break it down to its elements. Does Caitlin have a particular haunt/strip of land she sticks to, or does she wander? Does she avoid company, seek out possible victims, or tend to stumble upon them more? One scenario I have in my head is Bernard surviving a vicious wolf attack but needing tending to, though if Cait isn't the kind who would give aid/have healing skills, I could churn out something else. She wanders, but she doesn't like to be alone so she's attracted to others. If she found a victim of an attack she might feel compassion and help, though she wouldn't admit that and might even berate him for being weak. But her internal loneliness would keep her around him, she'd probably even think she was manipulating him to stay. But the truth is she'd be happier he was there. If that scenario does work bet for ya, I know that both company and any skill at healing would make him feel indebted to her for "saving his life" even if she didn't actually do anything. From then on he'd follow like a puppy almost into the mess Cait leads herself to. XD

Leez0rz Hi there,
I saw your post and I was thinking of offering Jeremie for a fling? Jeremie is similar to her in that he tries to manipulate others to get what he wants. Ultimately, his goal is to suck blood from pretty girls. He'll use his charms in attempts to seduce them and have to have a little nibble. As soon as he's done, he'll use his uni powers to heal the minor wounds and be on his way to either find another girl or feel the ill effects of a blood-based diet.
>__< His personality is kind of a work-in-progress, but please let me know what you think!

I'm just wondering if it would be better if Bernard's kids were adults before Caitlin's come around or if caring for all the kids together. On the one hand, if Bernard's kids are adults by the time Caitlin has hers, then he might have gotten the parenting thing down and been more willing and able to calm Caitlin and help her out. On the other, watching them both panicking at five small children also has its merits. In either case, I can see this being the tipping point in Caitlin and Bernard's relationship. She will have already grown fond of him in her own way before this, but after going through this crazy ordeal she will really appreciate him in a new way and realize how much he actually means to her.
Hmmm. Bernard botches parenthood to a degree with this batch due to his frantic/overbearing care taking skills - or at the least this turns the son off to him since Marlowe is already a bit of a pessimist and realized early on that his dad was taking care of his two sisters more (as they were the stranger ones of the siblings). I think Catori (Thei's) might be a bit confused by the presence of a new mare, which will be fun.
It could be that his kids are in their teens when they reunite? By the time hey grow up Bernard will have come to terms with the fact that he was an awful parent to them and would strive to try and make things much easier for Caitlin now that he sorta has experience to work on.
That sounds pretty good! I'm sure her kids will be a handful. Their father was well I don't know if he was EVIL necessarily but he liked to use mares to get their blood and such and then leave and doesn't care at all what he leaves in his wake. Caitlin grew up alone and hurt and angry and uses people a lot too. She'll probably be trying to teach her sons that you can't rely on anyone but yourself and that you need to learn to manipulate others to get your way. As they grow and she realizes how Bernard has been there she'll change her tune, but her sons may already learn her harsh lessons. Roland won't be evil, but he will be a bit rude/sarcastic and maybe a little manipulative, but with a conscience. Bernard will have rubbed off on him enough that maybe in later adulthood Roland will come to respect him and want him as a mentor.
Dawwwww, I can think of the shenanigans Roland and Marlowe could get into since Mar's morbidly interested in poisons and the macabre; not so much evil as much more neutral about things than his dad's goody four hooves deal. But yeah, I think this set up will work!
I'll contact Thei a little later when I'm not on the phone to see what she says! You wouldn't happen to have aim would you?
