I wasn't sure what to title it but that works well enough. For almost two weeks now, my older sister has been at our home for a visit. The last time I had seen her I was thirteen years old, and the last time dad seen her, she was six years old. It's been so long! It's rough though, not knowing what to say after all this time and then trying to get used to each other..

I also have a way to contact a little half-brother I'd only seen briefly one time, but there is no guarantee he can or will write back to me.

It's really exciting because, for the longest time, it had been just me and my dad. I live with him now and help do some of the lighter tasks that would otherwise be difficult for him to perform.

I am in the process of tracking down nieces and nephews as well. I have a 50/50 shot in locating any of them. I did find one on Facebook but have yet to hear from him. Then again I only sent a friend request. I should send a message stating who I am and why I am trying to get in touch, etc.

My sister goes home in two days and dad will be driving her over there. In a month, I shall take a bus and go visit her for a while, perhaps stay if I end up liking it.

I surprise myself, for I wanted to go with her in two days on the bus.

The weird part in my success at finding some of my family at last was that I had googled my mother's full name, and her obituary came up. Apparently, she died two years ago. I was kind of warped for a while because of how I found out but it's alright now. I missed out on talking to her, but am grateful that I was able to talk to my sister and visit with her.

I spent a long time last night talking to a cousin. When I go visit my sister next month I will have a dinner with my cousin and an aunt. I'd say names but am not sure it would be proper, haha.

My aunt talks to my nephew, the one I'd seen on facebook. I'm nervous about trying to initiate contact with him so perhaps she can help me with that. But I don't know if I want to wait until I go over to the coast to see her before trying to talk to him or not.

I doubt I will bother to write the nephew on facebook. I'm in the process of eliminating facebook. My sister... is back home. I will say that nothing was as it seemed it would be. I won't be going to visit her anytime soon, if things remain the way they are at this point.
Thank you for letting me post this silliness within the guild.
