The crushed remains of the shinobi apartments is a depressing sight and a grim reminder of the death tolls the destruction of the village brought about. If the dead bodies lying amidst the rubble of the village was not enough, the complete destruction of everything else they owned and held dear lie in ruin as well. The site of crushed teddy bears and destroyed pictures of family and friends weighs heavily on the heart as it points to the lives of the village who have been lost and destroyed, their relationships severed, leaving even survivors with scars.
Not all was lost however, as a brief glimmer of hope remains. Whether they were the plants of some of the apartments, or a deliberate memorial left by a survivor, flowers have began to spring up through the rubble. They stand as a testimony to the beauty the village once held, even when all else has been lost or destroyed.
