Once a thriving area of activity and growth, the training grounds have been reduced to nothing but a repository of rubble from the towering structures which once stood high above. Barely anything survived the avalanche of rock and stone which fell from above and has left the training grounds without any trace of life... not even squirrels.
The high majority of rubble and wreckage from the structures above ended up down in the training grounds, making them both a horrifying graveyard and the final resting place of many of the Iwagakure's treasures. Buried beneath untold amounts of rocks, one would be hard-pressed to find anything they were specifically looking for, and more then likely would uncover a gruesome scene they would never have hoped to see.
