Ursula stood at the edge of the cliff, imperiously surveying everything she could see. From so high, she could see quite far into the distance, the setting sun lighting everything just so. Green forest covered everything, with the water glimmering in the far distance, and not a single trace of human anywhere to be found. The forest edge up this high was set further back from the cliff. Where she stood there was grass almost to the rocky edge, abruptly ending at the jagged edge. One could walk right off it, if one weren't paying proper attention. Such a beautiful, deadly place. It suited her. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and exhaled with a sigh. Everything was as it should be, for one small moment. A fleeting thought of companion ship flitted through her mind, making her snort with amusement. None would share her solitude, for any amount of time. None who were not strong enough, and worthy enough, of the honor. She'd never met another Azrein she considered worth the time.

She yawned boredly as she wound her way along the precarious ledge. She'd sent Lillian off hours ago to find something to eat, and the little sprite had yet to return.
She snorted as she pictured her familiar lazily sleeping in some bright sunny spot. She had no idea how she'd ended up with the pest.
Yeah, she cared about her. That was the magic of the bonding. But she didn't have to be happy about it.
She shook back her curls, and her gaze caught on the mare looking out over the forest. She studied the other mare a long moment before letting her presence be known.
"Lovely view, isn't it?" Her tone light, and carefree, belaying what was truly within her.

Ursula turned suddenly. The other mare's voice had broken the utter quiet rather abruptly, and it had startled her. The voice belonged to a lovely mare who smiled gently, sharp teeth glistening, the aura of danger practically a tangible thing around her. Another such as herself. Yet the teeth gave away at least one of her interests. A vampire. "..Yes," she said slowly. She hadn't expected another to intrude here. She should have, in such an open area. "And you are?"

((being lazy and skipping the colors and stuff))
"You shouldn't let your guard down, so easily," she said as she walked towards the mare, her gait that of one who knows what she's about, and showing no signs of pain from the barbed wire wrapped around her front right leg, tearing the flesh that seemed to heal as quickly as it was torn.
She walked around the mare, obviously looking her over. Measuring her. Studying her as one would study a lab animal before deciding what to do with it.
She turned her cold gaze out to the setting sun. Hardly a sliver of gold on the horizon. Her curled tail swishes, swatting away flies that would otherwise feast themselves upon the blood on her leg. "It'll be dark soon. Should you not seek shelter for the night?"

She tossed her head, giving a snort. "No. I do not fear the night. It is a dark time when anything can happen." She eyed the mare, not forgetting she had neglected to name herself. "I will find shelter when I deem it fit." Part of her wondered if this was what she had come out here to wait for, this powerful creature made for pain and death. If there was beauty to be found in this world, surely this was what it looked like. There was nothing more beautiful, more exhilarating, than facing down your own death with your head held high.
Ursula wanted that power.

"Yes," she said after a long moment. "Anything can happen in the night."
She was quiet a long moment. The night breeze tugged at her curls.
She turned those cold, green eyes on the mare. "I'm sure you are aware there are dangerous creatures that dwell in the night." It wasn't a question, though it may have sounded as such. She had meant it as a statement of fact. "Creatures that would take such an Azerin as yourself and make them into food, or perhaps into a slave."

A shiver went through her at those words. Fear, and excitement - it had been a long time since anything had inspired those things in her. "Becoming food is unacceptable. I would kill any who tried. But perhaps for the right creature..." Her eyes narrowed, glittering with something unnameable. "Perhaps for the right mistress... an arrangement could be made." She turned and walked slowly towards the mare, careful to stand tall and proud. Somehow she could sense any kowtowing would end in her death. In order to survive, Ursula would have to show no fear - and mean it.

"Do not be so naive to assume you'd have a say in such a matter." She shifted, instantly lifting her head in a regal manner as the mare approached her. She was all about being the dominate one. She caught the hint of fear mixed with the mares bravado.
This one was smart to fear her. And smarter yet to try to hide it. She accepted fear, so long as the one feeling it did not cower. Those who gave in to their fear were weak, and served her no purpose.
"Hm. Perhaps I could make use of you."

Proud as Ursula was, she was never stupid. She did not know what use the dangerous mare in front of her had in mind, but she was fairly certain it wouldn't kill her. It wasn't beneath her to act as a servant, not to one such as this. She could learn from this. And one day others would cower before her as well. She would have this power. She dipped her head, carefully low, acknowledging Sabrina the superior. "What would you have of me, my mistress?" she asked, her voice husky and deep.

One side of her mouth curled up in a satisfied smirk. "First, I will have you tell me your name, though I may forget it later, anyway."

"I am Ursula." She lifted her head again, catching the smirk. Well, if the spark of rebellion amused her so, she would continue to supply it. "What should I call you, my mistress? If I am to be your servant, surely there is something you want me to say. And.. and what is your first task for me?" She knew she needed to be unafraid, but she HAD seen those teeth, and she wondered if the mare would use them. That'd be one way to gain the power, at any rate.

She is quiet for a long time. Thinking it over. Yes, there was something she wanted. Several of them. But she could bide her time. This mare had potential. Perhaps it would work out nicely.
She shifted, taking on quite the regal appearance. "There is something you could help me with right now, and it has nothing to do with nurishment. What I want is a much more difficult thing to give."
She waits a heart beat. "I want offspring."
I bow to no one.

Ursula almost felt her heart stop. Offspring, with a truly evil vampire mare? In one way, the idea had merit - she'd never expected to gain power of THAT kind - but she had a feeling she knew what it would entail. Sabrina would never consent to carrying any offspring, not with another perfectly viable solution available. It would be Ursula, forced to carry an unknown number of foals, most likely without aid. The other mare didn't seem the helpful type. Then again, she also didn't seem the maternal type, and this request came from somewhere. She supposed this could be considered an honor. At least, she thought wryly, she wouldn't end this encounter dead. And in the meantime, she could at least enjoy herself. The means, after all, were a pleasurable way to the ends.
On top of that, there was the foals themselves. Sabrina would want one for herself. But surely there'd be another, one she could raise. Perhaps it would even be a vampire too. She could still have that power she admired, albeit indirectly.
All this passed through Ursula's mind quickly. She did pride herself on quick thinking. She gave a single nod, slowly. "If that is what you want... I will do that." She gave a sensual smile. "For you." be one way to gain the power, at any rate.
