This is a PRP between Phirun {Kyrieko} and Bao {Lilbabe808}!

Setting:
Phirun needed to get out of the house for the day and suddenly finds himself with a very lovely and flirtatious female. Boy is he in trouble now!
PostPosted: Fri Apr 27, 2012 12:13 pm

He'd been feeling restless the past few days, trying to work on his candle sculpting to relax. But it hadn't helped. There just seemed to be a chill that wouldn't leave him be. Even though it wasn't unusual for him to be a little cooler than your typical Lunarian, Phirun had that...feeling. The one that made him think their was a presence of some sort lingering around him. Even Naoki seemed more irritable then usual, staring off into corners, tail thrashing behind him. Phirun was just doing the best he could to ignore it and go about his daily chores as well as work on assignments he had from classes.

By the third day of this, however, he couldn't take it. Shivering and unable to concentrate on the task he was attempting to accomplish, the boy set it aside and walked over to grab a small bag. He filled it with a couple pieces of fruit, bread, and a drink before snatching one of his books to rest gently inside.

A walk. Some fresh air. And a nice spot to sit and read. That sounded wonderful to him.

Assuming the 'presence' didn't stalk him on his walk.

Phirun sighed, glancing over his shoulder at his lemur companion. Naoki's ears were alert and his eyes huge. He knew what it meant when Phirun grabbed that bag. The boy smiled. "Come on, Naoki. Let's go for a walk and enjoy the nice day." The lemur bounced off the desk he'd been sitting atop, then leaped up to cling to Phirun's back, scrambling up to his shoulder and rubbing his head against his face. Phirun laughed, rubbing the furry head.

"Uncle? I'm going out for a walk. Will you let father know if he returns before I do?" He asked in is soft tones, sticking his head into the small study his father and uncle used when not on duty.

Chhan Mao briefly looked up, blinking as his frame of mind shifted out of 'work' and into 'homely affairs'. He smiled at his nephew, nodding. "I shall inform him for you. Try not to be gone too long though."

Phirun nodded and quickly backed out, exiting his home a few minutes later. He shivered once, but that other chill seemed to lessen as he walked along the road. The boy didn't really have a particular destination in mind, so he just let his feet lead him where they would. Which seemed to be on a small tour of the Noble Estates. Again. He was always fascinated by seeing some of the more extravagant homes, though he couldn't picture himself or his father and uncle ever living in one.

Naoki didn't stay on his shoulder very long, opting to start climbing and jumping along beside him, creating his own little obstacle course. Which was made up of trees, walls, things he probably wasn't supposed to be climbing on. But both boy and his lemur had relaxed.

"Oh! That house is quite lovely." He murmured to no one in particular, pausing for a moment to admire it.

Bao had finally gotten to learn some Tai Chi. It was all very basic stuff like sitting on horse and breathing techniques but it was a start. She had actually struggled through the whole thing because she kept getting impatient, wanting to move on to more exciting things. In a fit, she had accidentally yelled at her instructor. Her father had seen it and she had gotten a stern scolding. The rest of the practice had gone without incident. She had been lucky her master had been so kind or she might have found herself without a teacher.

After the practice, she had gone to take a long bath. The servants had brought in heated water for her and filled up the tub for her. It was just what she needed. Her legs were still aching from the practice and the hot water helped ease the pain.

She found herself in the garden after her bath. Bao really needed to get the basics down and find her inner peace. So she sat in the horse stance again, her legs wide and body squatted down with her back straight. She took in a deep breath and exhaled through her nose. Eventually she managed to get into a somewhat peaceful state of mind. Unfortunately, that state of mind was quickly interrupted by something climbing on top of her estate's walls. She growled in frustration and looked up to find a cute lemur staring back at her.

Oh, what a cute little thing. Bao wondered where it had come from. She stretched out her legs really fast before running at the tree next to the wall. Her agility far better than her patience, she quickly made it up the tree and onto the wall where the lemur was. She swung her legs over the outer side to sit down next to it. "Hello little one, who might you belong to?" Her bright, orange eyes looked below her to find a rather pale young Lunarian standing by the wall.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 29, 2012 11:34 am

The lemur tilted his head almost completely upside down as he stared at the new person. His nose wrinkled and his tail swished behind him. Curiously, Naoki stepped closer, placing an experimental paw against her. And then he was climbing into her lap, tugging at various things on her outfit curiously, orange eyes wide. He chattered at her, glancing from her to his person below. Then back up. And then he leaped from her lap to the tree branches, swinging up to crouch down and watch the two Lunarians with a playful air about him.

Where Naoki had no problems with the sudden presence of someone new, Phirun was the complete opposite. He hadn't noticed the girl at first, still admiring one of the more extravagant Noble houses. It was Naoki's chattering that drew his gaze up....and the boy froze, eyes widening in surprise.

Phirun just stared, feeling his heart clatter and trip over itself. And a flush rose to his cheeks as he watched his lemur crawl on to her lap. He felt that ridiculous shyness well up in him as words failed to rise out of his throat.

Naoki! Oh Goddess, why?!

Swallowing around the huge lump in his throat, Phirun realized he was just staring at the girl. Which only made him blush that much more. He quickly took a step back, lowering his gaze and attempted to mumble out an apology.

"I...I-I'm...please f-forgive me! And N-Naoki. W-We're very sorry." Faintly he wondered if she'd even understand his words he was stammering so much. "He doesn't...u-understand personal space...very well." Phirun added, trying to hide his face in the scarf her wore.

Bao smiled at the lemur as it stared at her. It was a curious little thing. She briefly felt the little paw upon her and then the lemur was in her lap. It started to tug at her clothes in different places. She started to giggle at it's antics, allowing the creature to sate it's curiosity about her. Father was against pets. He always said that they were a waste of time and useless during the warring times. She knows it's also to save them grief should the pet die. They already had so much grief in their lives without adding more.

Bao glanced down when the lemur's eyes strayed back to the pale boy down below. For some reason, he gave off the impression of being scared of her. She frowned slightly when he only continued to stare up at her as if she were some kind of ghost or something. After awhile he lowered his gaze away from her and seemed to be apologizing for something. She digested his words since it was a little hard to understand them with all his stammering. When she finally understood, she threw her head back and let out a throaty laugh.

Bao turned gleeful eyes back to him. "No need to apologize my dear. Your Naoki is very cute." She swung her legs away from the wall and back playfully. "I don't mind my personal space being invaded all that much." She turned to wink at the lemur as if sharing a joke with him. Clearly the pale boy didn't socialize much. She had never met someone who stumbled over their words quite like he had. Perhaps she shouldn't be so bold with him or maybe it was just what he needed to come out of his shell. She decided to gauge his reaction instead of jumping off the wall.

Seriously, wasn't it hard enough being as shy as he was on a normal basis?! Why, oh why did he keep finding himself confronted by pretty females? They just made him feel so tongue-tied and ridiculously shy and...well, not uncomfortable really. Just...oh Goddess help him! He didn't know what to say around them. And was always so nervous in their presence that he couldn't even formulate a coherent thought to answer that question.

Phirun let his gaze hesitantly raise back up to glance at the girl when she spoke. His cheeks were probably close to crimson now. Especially at her words. He felt his heart clatter around in his chest and was positive it was about to beat right out of his body! Fidgeting, his hands curled around the end of his scarf, gaze flickering to his lemur.

"Thank...you..." He managed to get out in something not-quite-but-close-to squeak levels. "I-It...was s-still rude of him." The boy paused for a minute. "Um...forgive...my rudeness as well." He said almost bashfully. "I-I'm Phirun. And t-that's Naoki."

He swallowed, looking back at her. And realized he was looking up at a girl that could have been wearing a dress and all of a sudden his face was scarlet as he took a step back, eyes instantly falling to the ground in an embarrassed manner for not even considering what she could have been wearing. And then for thinking on it.

Which was about the same time Naoki decided to jump down and see if his human was alright. Phirun did squeak this time, arms flailing out to keep his balance. Until he fell back on his butt with a soft 'thump'. Naoki managed to stay clinging to his chest, opting to sit against his knees while Phirun just blinked owlishly at the lemur. It was exceptionally clear on his pale face how bright red he was.

Bao watched with a very amused expression on her face. Her eyes were alight with glee at the unexpected situation. It had been awhile since she had fun with someone. This boy, poor thing, was turned so red that he almost looked sunburned. She would definitely have to somehow convince him to be her friend. It would be interesting to see what he would be like around women as he got older.

She assumed the thank you was in response to her calling his lemur cute. "You are quite welcome. Must be so nice to have a pet around. You can tell Naoki that he is free to play around on my wall and in my garden whenever he wants. I'm sure my father won't mind." Well, he would but she would convince him to let it go since they wouldn't be keeping the lemur. Bao giggled a little at Phirun. She didn't mean to be rude, it was just so adorable that he stammered and near squeaked. "It's nice to meet you Phirun." It would probably be best to jump down and introduce herself.

Without warning him, she grabbed onto an overhanging branch that stretched a little lower than the top of the wall and jumped down. She landed in a crouch next to him, just as Phirun landed on his butt. This time she did laugh and had to take a few deep breaths to stop the laughter.

Bao leaned over Naoki so that Phirun could see her face. "I'm Bao, in case you were wondering." She offered him a sweet smile before petting Naoki. It seemed that her new acquaintance had two skin tones, pale and embarrassed red. In the spur of the moment, she reached down and ran her finger lightly down the side of his fin.

For a very small, brief moment, Phirun felt himself relax enough to look up at the girl again, lips quirking up in that shy fashion. Maybe it was one way to slowly break through that ridiculous shyness he developed around girls, by talking about Naoki. Maybe.

"T-Thanks. It's, umm...well nice. You never feel completely alone." He replied quietly, indigo eyes flickering over to Naoki and back to her again. "I will tell him. A-And he may appear...again. Possibly." Phirun wasn't really sure on that, though if he happened to come by here again with his lemur, Naoki might remember playing here.

And then he was on his butt. Naoki tilting his head and looking at him from his knees. Even worse, the girl was right there too! Yep. His face was scarlet and he just wanted to pull his scarf up and hide his face forever.

Her laughing only made him feel even more embarrassed. And speech nearly impossible.

Naoki lightly tugged at his persons clothes, making sure he was okay. His amber eyes flickered up to Bao and back to Phirun before he leaned his head into her pets, tail swishing and curling around his persons leg.

Phirun blinked slowly up at Bao - who had just introduced herself - feeling his face flushing hot. "N-N...ice to...meet you...B-" He somehow got out right before a finger lightly traced down the side of his fin. Phirun squeaked and impossibly became even redder. Whatever ability to speak he'd had before had flown right out the proverbial window. The boy was frozen to the spot, unable to form any coherent thoughts in his mind let alone remember how to make his legs work so he could flee and hide forever.

His current thoughts looked something like this: "A;lkajdfl;dafmd a;klj;lld ;jhafdjkalfjdla."

Bao had not missed the shy little somewhat-smile that Phirun had given her. Normally, she wasn't that into the very pale lunarians. It was just a personal thing, most likely because she was so very dark. So she favored those with darker skin color. But his shyness made him so very cute to her. It's not like she felt an instant attraction or anything. There was just something about him that made her feel drawn to him. It never occurred to her that maybe it was because he was like her opposite.

She nodded at his words. Now she really wished she had a pet. There were times that she felt incredibly lonely. Her father was her only family that she truly enjoyed the company of. Her mother and siblings simply annoyed her. That was why she tried to make friends as often as possible. Without thinking, she said, "Let's be friends Phirun." She continued to play with his fin, fingers running lightly over it.

Bao had her hand cupped against his face when he was about to say her name but suddenly stopped. She blinked down at him as he squeaked and turned the brightest shade of red she had ever seen. He stopped moving altogether. She became increasingly worried about him. It had never occurred to her that she was the reason behind it. No one had ever reacted to her in such a fashion.

"Phirun?" Her hands moved to his shoulders to shake him lightly. She looked directly into his face, leaning over him. "Are you okay?" True concern was written all over her face.

Oh dear Goddess, why couldn't the ground just open up and swallow him whole right then and there? It would save him so much embarrassment and awkwardness with this girl! But no, things were not to work in such wondrous ways today. In fact, the only good thing so far about the day was that he didn't have any of those...feelings.

Like the one that had caused him to leave his home for the day in the first place.

No spirits lurking about.

Naoki was clearly not understanding anything about the situation beyond 'his human was sitting there and not moving'. Like Bao, he put a small paw against Phirun's face, petting it and chittering as his ears flickered to and fro.

Phirun actually felt hot now, from how scarlet his face was. At this rate, he was going to have a sunburn just from all the heat he was radiating.

"....akdakhfl...w-what?!" He barely got out. His eyes were huge, staring at Bao. Had she...really said that? Friends? Phirun felt his mind falter even more. Friends. He didn't really have anyone to call that. Well, aside from Naoki and his father and uncle anyways.

And she was touching him still. A girl was almost literally sitting in his lap and touching his face!

Breathe, Phirun. Breathe!

"F....F-Friends...?" He whispered, body still frozen as he stared at her. "I...I don't really...have any." Phirun murmured, trying not to tremble in his nervousness at his current predicament.

"Um...I think...I will be." He answered, hands twitching as he sat up a little more.

Bao had to hold in a small laugh at his reaction to her request to be friends. A small smile graced her lips and her eyes belied the laughter within her. Clearly he was going to be okay. She wasn't entirely sure what was wrong with him or why he was acting the way he was. She didn't like to judge others so she just accepted it as his quirk. Maybe he was just very bad in social situations or his parents kept him cooped up in his house. She would hate to be kept at home with no interaction with the outside world. Oh, she would just die or sneak out.

Naoki was so cute, petting Phirun's face. She wanted to just scoop him up in her arms and cuddle him. She pecked Phirun lightly on the forehead, her lips briefly touching his skin, as he sat up more. "I'm glad you'll be fine. You shouldn't scare me like that."

She then pet Naoki, her fingers rubbing the fur on his head. "What a good little one. Yes you are, making sure your Phirun is okay." Bao made little cooing noises to the lemur, clearly enjoying the interaction. If only she could have one of her own.

Her attention when back to Phirun. "Now you have a friend. Don't worry, I make a great friend. We can drink tea together, fly kites, make trouble. You can even come over to my estate whenever you like." She pointed her thumb over her shoulder to the wall that housed her family's estate. It would be so great to have him over. Naoki could play in the garden. She would enjoy playing with the little lemur. Perhaps her attraction to Phirun was also that he came with the cutest pet ever. She also felt bad that he didn't have any friends. Who would dare deny friendship to this sweet lunarian? Clearly, they were not appreciative of him.

She'd just kissed him. On the forehead.

She'd just kissed him.

He'd been kissed by a girl!

Phirun's mind pretty much exploded into incoherent gibberish and he was fairly sure that his entire body was scarlet at this point. Oh dear sweet Goddess! What...was he supposed to do?! It was hard enough to function properly with a girl there. Not that he had anything against them. And definitely nothing against Bao. Girls in general just made him so nervous! Maybe a little frightened.

And one had just kissed him!

"I...I-I...s-sorry. D-Didn't....mean to...s-scare you." Instead of his voice being in dangerously high squeak levels, it was almost ridiculously soft. Clearly, Bao had broken him. For the moment anyways. Phirun could only sit and stare at the other Lunarian.

Naoki, on the other hand, pushed his head up against Bao's hand as she pet him. He loved the attention! His tail flicked at the end and he reached up to grip her hand and rub his cheek against it affectionately. However the lemur was confused about the way his person was acting. Chattering at Phirun, he slid down his boy's legs to his lap and then jumped up to his shoulders, petting him and curling around his boy.

Phirun stared in even more shock. "Y-You...you would be my friend?" Something in him warmed oddly, and for a moment, that shyness seemed to be put on hold. "T-Thank...you..." Slowly, hesitantly, Phirun's lips curled up into a shy smile. Moving carefully, Phirun stood up, brushing off his pants and successfully hiding a portion of his face behind his scarf. And Naoki as his lemur was stretched out like a languid cat.

"I would...very much like...to be your friend." He spoke bashfully, ducking his head a little.

Bao pulled away from Phirun slightly, smiling at his whispered sorry. She waved her hand away as if shooing away something inconsequential. "Don't worry about it Phirun. I'm just glad that you're fine." Her voice had lowered to be almost as soft as his but she made sure he could hear her. It was almost like they were sharing secrets. She couldn't remember ever having a friend she could have share secrets with. All the lunarians that came to their house were older and came for her father.

She giggled at Naoki. He was the cutest. The way he interacted with Phirun just made her sigh with contentment and there was some jealousy. It was small but very much there. Despite his awkwardness in social situations, he was very lucky.

Bao stood up at almost the same time Phirun did. She smiled brightly at him. He was shy but very nice. No one had ever said thank you to her offer of friendship before. There was a lot of firsts going on with her this day. It was so cute how he hid behind his scarf. She wondered what would happen if she took his scarf from him. "Of course I'll be your friend. We can do lots of fun things together. Do you fly kites?"

Before he could respond to her, she pulled his scarf off and ran a few feet away. Her laughter rang through the air as she held it up like a trophy. Clearly, it was all in fun.

This was weird. Very very weird. First, he was not used to socializing with many people outside of his Father and Uncle. Even at the Academy, he didn't talk much. Only to answer a question here and there. But right now? He had someone that he could actually call a friend talking with him. It was almost a heady feeling. Of course the second thing that was weird about this whole situation kept him from really going lightheaded.

Bao was a girl. Girl's made him nervous. Yet...yet, he was starting to maybe not feel quite so flustered around her.

Maybe.

Okay maybe not just yet.

Phirun prayed to the Goddess that his cheeks were slowly returning to their natural color, though he had a sinking feeling this was not the case. But at least he had his scarf. He always had a scarf. Not just because they were convenient for hiding behind, but the Lunarian had a fondness for the comfort they could bring.

"I...I've never...tried." He admitted. "I have...seen others doing so. But, well..." He'd never had anyone to go out and fly a kite with. And he was always too shy to go ask. "But perhaps...we can do this sometime?" For the first time since meeting the female Lunarian, there was a small glimmer of excitement in Phirun's eyes. He truly did want to do lots of fun things with her! With a...friend!

That had just stolen his scar. Phirun gasped, feeling his cheeks light up once again. "W-Wait!" He squeaked, feeling exposed and almost naked without his scarf.

"B-Bao!" He didn't even stop to think, and chased after her. Without tripping over himself. Naoki, on the other hand, thought this looked like the most fantastic game he'd ever seen! With a gleeful howl, the lemur leapt from Phirun's shoulder towards a fence, hopping from one object to another while he also tried to grab the scarf. This game was fun!

Bao's laughter drifted on the breeze as she sprinted away from Phirun. His scarf trailed behind her like a white flag. Naoki seemed to think it was also fun. So she twirled around, letting the scarf flutter close to the lemur. Then she abruptly halted, wrapping the scarf around her own neck and turning to face her new friend.

She pulled it up to her lips and rubbed the material against them in a playful manner. He liked to cover up his face with it and now it would have a kiss from her laced in the material. Her eyes were lit with mischief. "Am I wearing it correctly Phirun? Does it look good on me?" She posed a little with the scarf covering the bottom half of her face.

This was fun. The great thing about playing around was that it had seemed to get him out of his shell a little bit. Bet he wasn't thinking about how awkward things were when he was chasing her. Bao just wanted him to have fun too. It was great that he agreed to fly a kite with her. That would be lots of fun too. "So you'll fly a kite with me? Promise?" It would be nice to have a friend to do stuff that young lunarians do instead of sitting outside a war meeting at home.
