Jason had been hoping for a bit of a reprieve. He had be hoping to find his dorm room the way he had left it, and then curl up under his blankets Like a sissy boy and rest for a few days. But no, no, he wouldn't get that. The dorms were full of Insanity creatures that needed to be taken out.
Originally, he was going to spend time on them, so as to recover the dorms faster. But then he just had to meet that one hunter, who thought he was a coward (he was, but he wasn't going to admit it). After a few words of "No I'm not!", protesting, and denial, he had somehow agreed to take out the monsters in the towns.
...He still did not understand how he had managed to rope himself into this, but at any rate, he was not going to do it alone. And so, after finding the first hunter he saw (and had talked to for more then five minutes), They were off, traling towards the destination.
When he had reached above ground, with his sword in hand, Jason looked around fearfully and realized...he couldn't see a dam thing. The fog was so thick, he may as well been walking around with his eyes closed.
"Reine?" He called out, trying to act nonchalantly and as if he was making sure she was still near (and not wanting to hide, of course not, nope) "Can you hear me?"

Reine.
The life hunter twitched visibly, turning to look at the source of the voice. She'd been wandering around for a while, out in the towns, and the fog was scarily thick- much more so than within the Deus main buildings themselves. As a result, the whispering voices were a little louder, though still unclear, and.. and now they had even learned her name, what did they want from her--
Oh. It was just Jason. Or was it really Jason? She squinted a little, through the fog. So far she hadn't heard of the fog-creatures taking the shape of an actual hunter, not to mention the monsters kept their non-corporeal consistencies.. which meant it was probably okay to approach him.
"Hey," she called back, waving exaggeratedly- he couldn't miss her this way, could he? The fog was just way too thick, they were just lucky they hadn't run into any monsters yet. Though, they'd both presumably come out here to kill monsters, hadn't they?
"I'm here," she murmured reassuringly, staying close to him. "So, uh, monsters and stuff..?"

Oh crap oh crap where was Reine he didn't want to be alone out here ohcrapohcrap-
Oh, there she was...Or at least he hoped so. He could see someone waving, but distantly. cautiously me moved closer to the voice, and sighed in relief. Yeah, it was Reine.
"Okay...good." Jason sighed. "We'll...we'll just go and find the...the monsters...yeah"
Either that or they would end up walking around here for hours, or even worse, get jumped on by a horde of them. The moon hunter squinted into the thick fog, trying to spot anything else moving. Which was hard, because the fog itself was moving. And as much as he tried to ignore them, the voices in his head whispered, making it harder to hear other things. Either that or he would suddenly jump, mistaking them for something that was sneaking up on him.
"S-s-o. H-h-have you b-b-been r-recover-ring-g w-w-wel-l?" Jason made a attempt at talking with the other hunter, failing to keep the stutter out of his voice.. He hadn't seen her in a while, and had no idea how she had faired in the four clans battle.

"Cheer up!" She wasn't in the best mood herself, but Jason was doing worse, far too nervous for his own good, and this sort of thing could kill you- a thought she refrained from mentioning to him, because it would probably make him even more nervous- so of course, encouragement was key! Rallying the troops, and all that.
.. Where there was really only one 'trooper' in 'troops', and... yeah, best not to follow that train of thought.
"I've been okay!" Her smile was too wide, her voice a little too high-pitched for her to be actually okay, though hopefully Jason wouldn't actually catch on. "You? You're looking pretty good yourself! Heh heh heh."
Awkwardddd. Reine kept up the stream of chatter anyway, intent on not letting the conversation die. Part of her was aware that maybe the sounds of, well, edible human-things would draw out more monsters, but she rationalised that there was fog everywhere anyway, and probably a whole ton of monsters just waiting for them. Not that that was in any way reassuring.. sigh.
It wasn't until she actually tripped over the body that she noticed it on the ground. Part of it had already rotted away, white bone showing through blackened flesh. With a scream she backed away, hand over her mouth, feeling as if she could throw up any second- and to make things worse, it was happening again. In front of the two trainees an insanity creature slowly began to take shape, all claws and teeth and angry whispers.LOL WELP SRY POKE 2-10: You find the body of a fallen hunter, their weapon tablet lies on the ground but crumbles as you reach for it. The pieces quickly shift and expand into a large, insane creature. It's form is not very solid, and more cloud-like than anything. Boss Stats HP: 50 Auto Damage: 5 (hit or miss) Extra: because of it's form, use a -8 modifier for accuracy! This does not count with charged attacks!

Cheer up? How was he supposed to cheer up in a place like this?!?
"I'-I' t-try.." Jason responded, Taking a deep breath and forcing himself to remain calm, and too..cheery up...
The moon hunter began to wonder, as Zanthvos snickered, weather he could trade in his weapon for something else. But instead he listened to Reine's endless chatter. Which was a odd thing to hear; he never picked Reine as the sort of person to chat so much. And was it his imagination, or did her voice seemed strained?
He was not able to dwell on these thoughts, as he soon witnessed her trip over something. "Reine! Are you-" he tried to ask if she was alright, but was met with a scream instead. Jumping about five feet into the air, he realized they were staring at a dead body. Not a pleasant sight in the least, and he was feeling slightly ill at seeing the decayed remains. But what his attention was the tablet next to the body, which he tried to pick up.
And after a few seconds of watching the tablet reform into a monster, it took every ounce of his willpower to not scream, and instead thrust his sword forward into the monster. The monster, of course, did not like this at all and pushed the hunter away. But for once, Jason seemed to have done something useful.

I'm fine, she thought, I have to be, but the words wouldn't come out. Her reflexes saved her, the swordbreaker slashing out at the creature before she even managed to recover, her feet almost tripping over the rubble on the floor. Jason seemed to be taking it much better than her- okay, so he'd screamed as well- but but but there was no way, no way she could let a trainee one-up her, she was supposed to be the one in charge here.
Supposed to take care of him, too, sort of, because being in a higher position meant responsibility for others, right, unless you were Caelius?
One more strike, after she'd regained her confidence, and the monster seemed to flail a little, its whispers a little more frantic. It reared, angry, returning the hit, but she managed to keep on her feet, skidding a little on the ground.
"Nothing we can't take care of," she grinned, flashing a thumbs-up at Jason-- before getting another smack right across the face.
Waaaaay to be encouraging..

There was much doubt in Jason's mind when Reine gave him the thumbs up (Since when had he been able to take care of a monster?). And there was even more doubt when she was b***h slapped struck across the face.
"O-of course not!" He said, getting ready to defend Reine. Okay, he was a wimp, but he still tried to be chivalrous when he could.
Except in this situation, as the monster decided to slap him a few times when he got close.

"That's the spirit! Just keep up what you're doing!" She could sense Jason's nervousness- understandable, she supposed, after all he was a pretty new trainee, and probably needed lots of encouragement. When she'd first started out, Jordan had helped her out a bit- she could at least try to pass some of that on to the newest recruits. Reine moved past Jason, attempting to slash at the monster again. At the very least she could try to keep him away from it, or distract it from him- what was that term Justin used again, that.. tank thing he usually did..?
There wasn't time to think of the word before the monster dissipated when she hit it, her swordbreaker slicing through air. Out of the corner of her eye she saw it reforming again, the tricky sneaky *******, but it was too late to react, and she couldn't duck in time to avoid its swipe at her.

Well, at least Reine seemed to be calmer now, if not cheering him on. It was...a good feeling. Usually people didn't cheer for him, or were instead cheering for him to screw up whatever it was he was doing.
And it seemed to be having a impact on him. When the monster dissipated, he moved closer to Reine, anticipating it to appear closer to her. He was right, but still wasn't fast enough to stop it from hitting her. But he was still able to knick it with his blade, before it batted him away.

"****." She swore at the monster- once again it was moving too fast for her to keep up with. Had her reflexes somehow dulled from lack of practice? This called for a lot more training course runs, when those were available again- she hadn't been promoted to intermediate just to disappoint.
Annoyed, she lashed out at it, only to miss. ****. At least Jason was doing a little better than her, something she didn't intend on allowing to happen again. Focus, she thought- only to realise that focusing didn't work very well when you were.. well, surrounded by fog, fighting fog creatures that were shifting between corporeal and non-corporeal.
In fact, it seemed more about luck than anything else..

Getting slapped around was not a fun activity for Jason, especially when he was getting slapped around by a fog monster. He was even beginning to feel less scared; His fear being replaced by irritation at how hard it was to hit his opponent when it kept moving in and out of his vision.
As he swung at it, the monster was able to dissapear into the fog again, and The moon hunter lost sight of his target. Until it crept on him and shoved him forwards harshly. Silently he prayed his FEAR shield would hold out, which was starting to show some wear and tear from the constant attacks.
"Do you have any ideas?" He called out to Reine, having run out of ideas besides "swing thy sword and hope it hits something".
