Lilac hummed quietly to herself as she strolled along the pathway, putting in twirls and jumps as she did so. She took a breath in and blew it out smiling, it was a beautiful day out and she wanted to take advantage of the nice weather and decided to spend the day outdoors. She walked through the garden the path went through and sniffed the flowers. "such a beautiful day to be outdoors" she said to no one in particular as she watered the flowers.

 The party had gone well enough, but not as well as he wanted. No one had thumped him, but no mares had come home with him either. He tried not to let it get him down. There would be others. Peppermint Bark strolled down the garden paths. What better place to meet eligible fillies? He cringed mentally to himself, and their jealous boyfriends.
Still his ears perked as he heard a soft female voice. He grinned. She sure was right! It was a beautiful day to be outside. Cautiously Peppermint found a place to look through the bushes. He determined she was absolutely alone and, even better, he remembered her from the party. She'd been that mare that smooth talking stallion had stolen from him.
With a grin he smoothed back his hair and came around the corner. "Why hello there miss. We meet again."

Lilac paused in mid-step and glances at the stallion "ahh...so we do" she said with a smile. She set the watering can down and approached the Stalllion "nice to see you again" she said before lightly winking playfully at him "don't I owe you a dance from the Party?" she asked him. She flicked her tail to and fro idly.

She remembered him! He felt a heady glow as she smiled at him. "Thanks! I'm glad to have caught you alone today." Peppermint felt his jaw drop a bit. "Um you do? I mean of course you do. I wouldn't say no to you. Though we don't have any music. That won't bother you will it?" He looked anxiously around. His eyes caught the motion of her tail and followed it back and forth, giving him the look of a clock.

Lilac giggles lightly before shrugging "well..if you don't want it I can always save it for someone else" she told him. She lightly shook her head..recalling the brief meeting at the dance..before Tuncay interrupted. "then again..It could be the wrong stallion...since Tuncay had interrupted before you got an answer" she told him refering to the dance.

"Pffffft! I'd never turn down a dance offered by a pretty mare." He gave a wince as she mentioned the interuption. That male had been so rude. Still, here was his chance. "Well since you never got to answer then, how about answering now?" He gave an awkward grin and held out his hand. "I can dance without music," Peppermint boldly proclaimed.

Lilac smiles and thought on it for a second before placing her hand in his. "I think...it would be better if there wasn't any music anyway.." she said with a small smile. Her tail swished to and fro idly as she placed her hand in his. "That way we don't have to worry about the beat and the steps" she told him lightly.

He nearly gave a crow of delight when he felt her dainty fingers on his hand. Score! Settling for a grin he nodded. "Whatever you'd like!" Awkwardly he brought her close. One hand was holding hers, but where did his other go? He let it rest on her shoulder for a moment. That didn't feel right. Then he was about to take her free hand when he remembered other pairs he'd seen dancing didn't hold hands like that. Where did it go!?
Oh! His eyes glanced to her hip. Right. She's agreed to a dance so hopefully she wouldn't smack him for this. Peppermint pretended confidence as he let his hand rest against her hip and pulled her into a twirl.

Lilac smiled lightly as he placed his hand on her hip, she was hoping her wings wouldn't get in the way. She swished her tail to and fro before lightly gazing into his eyes. She lightly laughed "alright" she told him before making the distance between them a little smaller, she lightly rested her other hand on his shoulder.
She smiled as she was pulled into a twirl, hopefully she wouldn't completely fail and make a complete fool out of herself in front of him. "since have not formally introduced ourselves, my name is Lilac Star and you are?" she asked the stallion as the two danced.

She was light and air in his arms! This is how it should be, Peppermint thought. Then she distracted him from the slow twirl. "That's right. Really? That's your name? It's an...... Oh my gosh are you ok?!?" Almost imediantly he'd gone and stepped on her foot! Peppermint felt like a oaf. "I'm so sorry. Are you ok? Should I check it or anything?" He shifted nervously. Did he continue holding onto her? Or try to check her foot? All he could hope was that she wasn't greviously injured.

Lilac lightly winced as he stepped on her foot, she glanced at him and shook her head "its quite alright,no harm done, just need to focus that is all" she told him hiding the slightly pain in her foot. She shook her head " don't worry i'm not injured badly" she said lightly.

This was a disaster! He needed to make up for it pronto. "It can't be. I mean I stepped right on your foot. Would you like to sit down? Ice?" For once something went right, then it went horribly wrong. Peppermint feared he might be cursed.

Lilac shook her head "its fine... don't fret" she told him before thinking for a second "actually...sitting down would be nice" she admitted, her wings fluttered lightly, as she sat on a nearby boulder, she took a breath and looked at the stallion "I'm fine, seriously.." she said.

He swallowed hard and nodded. If she said she was ok it was alright wasn't it? He wished he knew. "of...of course!" Peppermint followed her over to the boulder and watched her sit. Awkwardly he settled beside her. His thumbs twiddled as his eyes roved around the garden; anywhere but her. Now what did he say? A long awkward silence stretched out. His leg jiggled nervously.

Lilac blinked and glances at Peppermint, she lightly patted his leg "calm down, I'm perfectly fine" she told him shaking her head lightly. "You need to relax, it was a mistake, it happens, no major harm done" she informed him.
