 Flying up high in the sky without a care in the world Dar wondered where he was. He knew he was lost and it was getting dark. So he supposed he should land and find somewhere to sleep for the night. The ground below had a light layer of snow and there where large patches of dirt showing through. He liked sleeping in trees, but a cave wouldn’t be too bad a spot to rest he thought. Gliding for a while more Dar saw an outcropping of rock. He mentally shrugged. It might not be a cave, but as long as he didn’t get snowed on it wouldn’t be too bad. After all he was warm phim by nature, both physically and personality wise. One cool night wouldn’t be too bad. Flexing his wings into a steady glide Dar started downward. (sorry it’s so short and took so long. RL heard I wanted to get on gaia and said “Ha ha no.”)

 Celen walked along the snowy, iced over ground humming happily to herself. She liked the current weather she had been having lately. She was a sled dog and could live in really cold weather though during her travels she had lived in some pretty warm temperatures that made her sweat because of how think her coat was. After living in the two different temperature areas she had decided that she liked the cold a bit more but didn't want it freezing like some of the others she knew. So here she was in her mild to medium temperature area with her own little home in a cave. She was out and about collecting some nuts to store in her cave in case of heavy snow.

As Dar continued his decent he noticed something bright moving at the edge of his vision. Flapping hard backward Dar stopped his glide and even managed to back wing a bit so that he could angle himself and see what was moving. Whatever it was it was incredibly bright and far enough away that he couldn’t quite make it out. As it disappeared behind a snow crested hill Dar was intrigued. He didn’t want to scare whatever it was so he did a circular glide to the ground and then started to walk toward the last spot he had actually seen the strange creature. The ground was just cold enough that he shivered once as he walked. MM I should have flown closer before landing.. I forgot how things on the ground take so much longer.

Celen was off in her own little world and clearly wasn't paying any attention to her surroundings. If she would have been anywhere else she would have but since no one ever came here and it was to cold for most other predators she didn't see the need to worry and hadn't for awhile. Little did she know she was being followed as she walked down into a small ditch and up the other side.

Cresting the hill Dar got close enough to see that the orange thing was fox… sort of. There was something very odd about it. It had the body of a fox but the tail was that of a curled up wolf type thing. Dar wasn’t sure what to make of it. He started down the way and was about to speak when he slipped. Yelping he slid into the ditch and ended up turning sideways during his decent. As he went down he instinctively curled his wings up and his legs close to his body.

As Celen walked her curled tail bounced to what she was humming gently in her head. Well that was until a sudden yelp startled her causing her to gasp and drop what she was caring. She quickly turned around in time to see something blue fall into the gap in the ground that she had just left. Slowly she approached. As she looked over the edge she called out "Hello?"

Dar looked up out of the ditch and tried to do a little wave with his wing. Sadly it didn’t work out so well since the tip of the wing he tried to use was underneath him. All he succeeded in doing was flipping himself onto his side and having his wing jerk straight up into the air. “ooughf!” He coughed once before looking up at the other strange bright fox a bit embarrassed. “Hello there.” I will never be sneaky fox…

Celen arched an eyebrow at him realizing that the male was a phim. "Um hi?" she asked while looking at his predicament. "Hold on I'll help you," She told him before jumping down into the ditch and pushing her body against his. She knew she had better traction than him. 1. because he was a phim and they mostly flew and 2 because she was a sled dog and she was built for the snow and ice.

“Thank you.” Dar used her leverage to right himself and untangle himself. There where times when wings where a detriment rather than a boon. “I’m Dar by the way. Sorry I know it’s weird to just introduce myself but I didn’t want you to have to deal with a stranger the whole time. I think that would be a bit uncomfortable.” Dar smiled at the helpful vixen. At least he was pretty sure it was a vixen from the sound of her voice. It was a happy smooth voice.

"Your welcome sir," Celen said softly with a smile as she watched as the male phim rose out of the ditch and on to the safe landing side with her. She carefully moved to the side trying to make she didn't step on them. They were so big and all but she new it would hurt. "Dar huh? That's a nice name. Mine is Celen and its nice to meet you."

“Yours is really nice too Miss Celen.” Dar gave the vixen a lopsided grin. He readjusted his wings so that they were comfortably loose at his sides. He shook his paws one by one to get the snow off of them he them. He was a bit sore but thankful his little tumble didn’t him too bruised up. “It’s nice to meet you too. Mmm do you know where here is?”

Celen blushes at his comment and turns back to face the way she came while mumbling "Why thank you." She waited for him to be done shaking the snow off so that when she talked he would be able to clearly hear her. "Your at the base of a mountain in Alaska. Just on the other side of the mountain is a tribe. Your far from home aren't you?"

“Not really. I don’t have a home so I guess anyplace is as good as the next.” Dar was happy to have Celen speaking to him. He was so lucky that such a kind vixen was the one he spotted. He looked at her. She was definitely female but her tail was so strange. He cleared his throat and looked at his paws not sure how to ask his next question.

"Hmm than come on I'll show you to my home. Night should be coming soon and it gets awful cold out here at night without shelter." She told him before turning and heading back to where she had dropped her herbs and nuts than looked back at him waiting for him to follow. Her curled tail pouncing as she went.

“Thank you very much.” Dar grinned. Celen was so very nice. He really wanted to give her a hug. Following her after she looked at him, he watched the way her tail moved. “Um. I’m sorry to ask this if it’s a sensitive topic, but your tail…” Dar really wasn’t sure how to phrase it. He just kept staring with a confused look on his face.
