Selkie ideas. Personal but may be used otherwise. Not suited for generic RPs.
1. A selkie falls in love with a fisherman who tricks her into hiding her skin and the free selkie spirit is forced to become a house-wife, struggling with life. And after her children are born, they find it while playing and the selkie is faced with a decision wjhether to go back to her freedom and passion, or to stay with hard-earned love and duty.
: 2. A young nervous girl who's about to be married meets a sekie on the sea-shore. And the selkie had actually left her human family behind for the passion of the sea. And they talk about the obligations of a woman and what freedom actually means.
3. This one is a twist on 'The Little mermaid.' In the little mermaid, the mermaid gives up her tail and fins to become a human and pushes away the chance to go back by murdering the prince she loved, after her love is not returned. What would a selkie do ?
4. A selkie falls in love with a human fisherman. But they cannot be together. She'll die on land, he'll die on sea. So they meet everyday on his boat, during the day, in the middle of the sea. But the man becomes more and more possessive about her, while she loves the concept of freedom in love. And finally the man decides to get married for financial reasons.

Of course, there hadn't been anything wrong back then. The stars turned slowly in pitch skies, and the screech of tires seared an imprint in her memory.
The neon glows teetered on the thin brink between pain and exhilaration, eddying and swirling as her eyes flicked back and forth. The light followed.
An afterburn, an icy explosion of red headlights.
The noises ceased.
