Prompt Rolls

Roll 1d100

1-10: You find the body of a fallen hunter, their weapon tablet lies on the ground but crumbles as you reach for it. The pieces quickly shift and expand into a large, insane creature. It's form is not very solid, and more cloud-like than anything.
Boss Stats
HP: 50
Auto Damage: 5 (hit or miss)
Extra: because of it's form, use a -8 modifier for accuracy! This does not count with charged attacks!

11-32: A small, semi-solid creature snatches at you with painful claws and teeth.
Mob Stats
HP: 5
Auto Damage: 2 (hit or miss)

33: A very solid form attacks you, it's species is recognizable despite the desaturated form and flowing eyes. It's attacks are powerful and relentless!
Boss Stats
HP: 99
Auto Damage: 10 (hit or miss)

34-65: A large, semi-solid creature barrels into you! It's slow-moving but a bit more powerful than the smaller ones.
Mob Stats
HP: 10
Auto Damage: 3 (hit or miss)

66: A bunch of smaller, semi-solid forms attack you in a large group!
Boss Stats
HP: 66 (collective health)
Auto Damage: 6 (hit or miss)

67-89: Nothing happens.

90-98: A small, fairly solid creature swiftly begins attacking you!
Mob Stats
HP: 15
Auto Damage: 5 (hit or miss)

99-100: A creature that skillfully shifts from solid to fog-like, it's incredibly dangerous and difficult to handle.
Boss Stats
HP: 99
Auto Damage: 10 (hit or miss)
Extra: because of it's skill with its form, use a -8 modifier for accuracy! This does not count with charged attacks!

Taking a nice shower, however awkward and embarrassing and entirely too social, had been good for him. Jerry smelled a lot better anyway. Attempting desperately to avoid eye contact with anyone else in there with him had given him a lot of time to think, mulling over his game plan. Alright, so Rep was waiting outside for him s he wouldn't get lost. They'd meet with the others and head above ground. Make their way to his room first, pray his spare glasses were where he had left them.

Grab his guitar.

Fight their way out and down the hall to Sasha's bedroom. Blast the door open if he has to. Retrieve her flute.

If they're doing well, they'll see what else could be salvaged. Maybe Molly's room- where was Molly's room? Alright, maybe see if the others have things of note they'd want to grab. Make their way out, safe and sound. It couldn't go wrong. It could only go right.

He as feeling a lot better as he dressed and limped his way out again, glancing around for Rep to see if the others had responded to the ginger's texts.

"Well, I'm f-feeling more human, ahahaha," He ventured. "Have you heard anything?"

Harrison had texted Rep,

Baneful
need to swing by my room too for sword polish

He'd also like to get his supply box while they were up there, but since they were all stuck in cramped quarters for a while it wasn't a priority. He changed out of his sweats and into some blue coveralls, which made him look like a car mechanic, and grabbed his bandaid tin. It was dangerous, sure, but everybody was in reach if they had any emergencies, and he liked mooning for Rep.

Jerry he was a little more cautious about, just because of what had happened last time.

He showed up with one sword in hand, and the other tucked into his sash.

Jerry was limping, and missing his glasses. Blind and crippled, that really helped stoke Harrison's enthusiasm.

"I'm in. So long as we don't go running after weird noises in the dark, we should be okay," Harrison said.

"I'm sure the weird noises in the dark will be more than happy to come looking for us." Jordan had also changed into coveralls; hell with that not having pockets crap. He leaned against the wall, arms crossed over his chest. "Necessities run, huh? I'm up for that."

He felt a whole lot better than he had when they'd first arrived back; the anxiety and twitchiness were tapering off, and Ferros had settled comfortably back into the not-space he occupied in Jordan's mind, the soft rumble and hiss of his presence constant and soothing. A shower, some uninterrupted, peaceful sleep, something to eat, and coffee - even if it had been terrible coffee, it was still coffee - had gone a very long way toward restoring him to his usual state of mind.

He refrained from commenting on exactly how worn and frayed Jerry looked. Some of that might be attributable to being unable to see, perhaps unable to sleep, but he was still going to keep an eye on his friend.

The prospects of getting the hell out of that cramped little space and its lack of privacy had once again driven off the uncertainty and self resentment for a time from Rep. Right now he was just at his usual background levels of self loathing and those levels he could shout past. Like the others, he too was dressed in the overall "work clothes" and he was already missing his jacket, left behind because of the blood all over it. It was strange, it didn't provide much protection - if any - but the boost to his confidence of wearing that symbol couldn't be understated. He didn't even have his scarf since it too was caked with blood. He felt naked.

Jerry got a nod of approval. "Good." he smirked "Just hope not too human." humans were fragile after all and Jerry, though scrubbed up a bit, looked like he could still use all the help he could get. "Ah think they are coming."

As Harrison and Jordan arrived they got a lazy smile he couldn't help, the insanity might have receded but it had still been present enough earlier to make him doubt the guys would come along. Seeing them both irrefutably present was a boost. "I'm not running towards anything other than what we are ******** going here for."

Seemed it was only Wash they were missing then they were good to go. All suns and moons. No women. Rep approved.

It took some time for Wash to meander slowly over to their meeting place. Ever since the...incident, he'd been having strange waking dreams and difficulty focusing. It was only with a noticeable effort that he could summon Sally to his side, who remained silent but emanated an uncharacteristic amount of concern.

He seemed to gaze past the ragtag group as he approached, glazed stare finally focusing on something in the distance.

Somewhere in that mess of monsters and buildings was his wallet. It was his holy grail - his most cherished posession, the little bent and warped photos inside it the whole of his existence. Wash thought it'd be safe there, safer than anywhere else in the world, but he'd clearly been wrong. He had to find it, or he was certain he'd go mad. He hadn't even managed to get in more than a brief nap in their time at the makeshift base, and what little sleep he'd had was spent tossing and turning - waking up to the almost-sound of Denise's voice. Why was she tormenting him? Hadn't he given up his whole world for them? Or had the worst finally occured, and she died, her vengeful spirit come to haunt him? Was he fighting for nothing? This thought was almost too much to bear.

Getting dressed in some sweats and throwing on his jacket had been one of the hardest things he'd done in his life. He felt empty. Depleted. He scratched at the stubble he'd acquired throughout their globetrotting adventures, and sighed. Wash just wanted to go home.

"Hey guys," he commented, with apparent indifference.

"Ah, g-good, good they're- Jordan?" He blinked, squinting to try to take in the faces as best he could, but it was no use. Apparently that strawberry blond was... Alpha One. His face paled and he shifted, trying to give a polite cough, "G-good. The um. More the merrier, ahaha..." Still no Wash, though. If he didn't show up, Harrison would be spread thin. Of course Jordan would come. His stomach clenched, hands twisting ahead of him as he tried to think. He wanted to orchestrate this. But with Jordan there... it was clear he was the better leader, more practical and thoughtful and who the hell was going to listen to HIM while there was a better suited man among them?

He heard a fresh voice and relaxed just a hair. "WASH! Excellent, excellent! More moons, wonderful! Alright. Alright!" Just stay calm. Keep control. He might be... crippled in more ways than one, but he couldn't let that hold him back.

Important things were at stake.

Like his sanity.

"Everyone ready to ah..... Go, then? Now that er... w-we're all here?"

"Yeah, yeah. Tons of horrible fog monsters. And I know you won't," Harrison said, although it did him good to hear the pledge of non-wandering from Rep any way.

"Sure," he said, nodding at Wash, "We'll split up the defending best we can, I guess."

"How many stops are we planning?" Jordan asked. "Just want to get an estimate on how long we're going to be out." He stood up away from the wall and stretched. "More than ready, anyway. Not much to do down here."

He looked to Wash. "Hey, you okay, man? You're looking pretty out of it."

"I don't need to check my room." Rep offered huffily. He had nothing of any worth, he'd never had anything of any worth at all. And he never would given the amount of ******** obstacles in the ******** way of actually getting out of the shithole of a bunker and off the island to some blessed retail therapy.

Oh right.

"Though Harrison mentioned a stopover for a polishing thing." He gave the other man an apologetic look and an eyeroll. Tracey.

"But aye I'm ready to go. ******** born ready."

"Ah, w-well, I... I have some spare glasses in my room," Jerry floundered as soon as Jordan has spoken up, instinctively moving to push said glasses up his nose and promptly poked himself in the cheek.

He coughed strategically, "And... and a couple other things. Two stops for me. We can get this done, no problem, I'm sure. ALRIGHT! Let's- " He clapped his hands together, limping off away from the group before anything else could be said, promptly walking straight into Harrison, "Oof, ah, ahahaha um. S-sorry."
PostPosted: Wed Apr 25, 2012 2:55 pm

Harrison took Jerry by the shoulders and steered him portal-ward.

"That way, sunshine."

The no-wandering rule was going to be harder than he thought.

Somehow, the band of trainees made their way to the surface with little to-do, carefully guiding Jerry out of the way of things to walk into despite his protests that he was fine.

"W-weapons at the ready," He mumbled as they stepped out of the portal. It took some effort to gather his thoughts enough for the bazooka to materialize on his shoulder, and he winced at the weight of him on his bruises.

He could do this, he repeated over and over to himself. Just find his glasses and maybe the feeling of uselessness would pass....

Harrison kept the shorter sword in his sash.

The dormitories looked like a music video where someone had been a little liberal with the fog machine.

"Whose dorm is where?" He asked, on edge, "I'm 130, we might as well, uh- is that..."

Half-shrouded in fog was a body, and next to the outstretched hand, the definitive form of a weapons tablet.

The fog was stifling, horribly so and reminded Rep of the early morning mists that would sometimes creep in and make the world look like a game with shite graphics and draw distance turned down.

<>

He spotted the still figure of the hunter. Poor b*****d. Wrong place, wrong time. And to think he'd wanted to stay on the island. Could have been stuck on the island with his shoulder injured. His pig headedness had paid off this one time. The weapons tablet was just as if not more unsettling and he found himself filled with revulsion at the idea of picking it up. It was way too intimate, a violation of sorts.

But he didn't want to look like a coward, so he reached out..

It crumbled, fog billowing up behind it, the hint and eye, a claw, a writhing mass of anger and resentment. Something had been lured out of the whiteness and it didn't ******** look pleased to see them either.

He drew Tracey in an instant and brought him around in a sweeping swing. Could it even be hit?

Yes was the reply he received from the dull resistance in the swing and the swipe of anger he received in retaliation. It could be hit. Just.
