Ariane was not pleased to see the state of things on the island; she had some things left in her room. The set of hair dye Deryk got her last Christmas, for example, as well as certain articles of clothing she would like back, thank you very much; she used her hard-earned pay on those! She was not going to be stuck in this same piece of clothing until they restore the island.
This was why, during the 'forced rest' period, she had... Well, forced herself to relax and rest. She was so ready to beat some monster-creature-thing's a** and reclaim her belongings right now. So ready. Of course, she didn't want to risk going alone, which was why two Death hunters would receive a text one morning.
Although she really wasn't sure who would end up protecting who.Pales Judy, care to join me in beating up some crazy creatures? Meet at cafe @ 10am.

The past few days had been a bit of a struggle for Deryk. He had been patched up pretty nicely considering he didn't get any major injuries, but the living conditions were sub optimal. He was still struggling with a few things internally as well, which didn't make things much better for him. When the text came, he glanced at the phone, frowning lightly. What did Ariane want? Probably to hit him again.
Sighing heavily, he trudged on over to the canteen anyway at ten. He could at least get himself a cup of the crappy coffee they had here.
Once arriving, he grabbed himself such a cup, pausing as he heard whispers all around. Shuddering, he turned towards his fellow death hunter.
"... Hey."

Ariane got a text back because Jude is a sass-monster as well as a gloom monster. He was more than happily to slip away, quietly, hopefully without many people noticing him if at all. Jude was rested. Jude was ready to do something other than sit on his a** and also Jude was bored. So he was more than willing to help out.
When he arrived at the Cafe at the appointed hour he simply meandered over toward the other two, "I seem to be perpetually late some days," he muttered instead of offering a greeting like a normal person would.
What? They saw him. He was there. Why should he say Hello?

Surprisingly, Ariane did not hit Deryk, only offered him a sort of wave followed by a greeting of 'Hey'; was someone feeling extremely slightly bitter about the things that was said to her a few days ago? Maybe. She didn't even hit Jude's a** when he joined them; then again, she really wasn't sure why she claimed it as hers at that point in time.
What even happened at that point in time...
"Better late than never," She replied before looking from one hunter to another, "Ready to do some cleaning up?"

Deryk was expecting to be smacked by Ariane, but it never happened. There wasn't even an a** grab. Perhaps she got really offended by the things he had said the other day. He had been rather horrible at that time. When he saw Jude too, he slowly put down his cup of coffee, suddenly not really wanting it at the moment.
"Clean up? Oh right. Gotta clear out the monsters. Take back the base. Um. Sure. Whatever. Where we going?"

Jude looked from one friend to the other his arms crossing over his chest, "I don't want to go yet. Not until we clear the air about something. I don't want to work with all of us feeling so damn tense around each other," he said bluntly.
He at least wanted people to get a long a little bit with each other. It wasn't like he asked for much.
Jude could at least note surprise that Ariane wasn't being her...charming self and it concerned him a little bit.

Ariane opened her mouth to protest, wanting to yell something along the lines of "YOU'RE NOT MY MOTHER" at Jude but then thought better of it. This resulted in her shutting her mouth and pouting frowning a bit, folding her arms across her chest, "What would you like to clear the air about? Oh, I have an idea. Why not let the eldest one start first?"
At this she turned to Deryk, still pouting frowning away.

Deryk froze as Jude brought up wanting to clear the air, and somehow froze even more when Ariane decided the oldest should go first. Biting his lip for a moment or so, he stared at the other two rather nervously. Right.. Right. Would they really accept an apology though?
"..I... said some pretty bad things the other day. Don't know what got into me. But bad nonetheless. Sorry. Shouldn't have said those things. Shouldn't have attacked you Jude,"he said quickly while shifting uncomfortably where he stood.

Jude stared at Ariane in a manner that suggested he was not impressed by her behavior on the matter and then looked at Deryk and gave a small nod, "I shouldn't have attacked you either and I'm sorry what I said to you. I didn't mean it."
He stared over at Ariane, "Also sorry for implying you two were dating, and well... I don't know crazy stuff was happening, we should get above it, right?"
It was bad enough that he had the voices pestering him with their nonsense now and again as well as the added weight of loneliness on his chest, he didn't need to fear his teammates just suddenly verbally sparring or passive aggressively commenting at each other.

"First off, I'm not sorry for touching your butts and I will do it again," She announced, and then proceeded to do the deed, giving a thumbs up as if to say 'yup, as firm as ever' after she was done, "However, I am sorry for calling you old and a geek-" At this she looked at Deryk, "Because you're not that old, and being a geek is not too bad a thing."
She then turned to Jude, "And you're a good friend, even if you look grumpy half the time."
Kintama made a gagging sound.
"Now can we do some cleaning up?" She stretched her arms, "I think my bones are stiff from being forced to just sit and lie around for so long."

Looking between them, Deryk smiled a bit sheepishly before nodding to them. Though, he jumped as Ariane decided to grab his a** as per usual.
"Right. Looks like that's cleared up then. Um. Let's get going? Want to help reclaim the base," he said. If anything it would probably help him keep his mind off of other things. Such as if they really did do a good thing regarding the horsemen. It was something that was still haunting him a bit, but he had been keeping it to himself. The trainee had a feeling his little struggle wasn't really one welcomed around here in general.

"I know you're not and I know that," he let out a small sound despite knowing it was coming and then let out a sigh, "you're not sorry for that part." Jude said simply rubbing his backside wondering just what her fetish was with the rear end of a guy or at least his and Deryk's rear end.
Jude let out a sigh, "Thanks, I think. Wasn't aware that my face had to do with whether or not I am a good friend," he replied with a bit of a shrug. It gave him warm fuzzies that she thought he was a good friend but the commentary about his expression was a bit perplexing.
"Yeah I'm ready when you guys are now that we scooted that out of the way," Jude said simply and then gave Deryk a bit of a reassuring smile before he looked at Ariane, "Lead the way since you summoned us."

She grinned and stationed herself between the two, putting her arms around their shoulders, even if she only managed to do it to a certain degree due to their height differences, "We're going to the dorms. I have a set of perfectly preserved hair dyes from last Christmas in my room, and we are going to rescue them." She decided that for them, yup.
Without another word, and tugged them along, out the underground base and in the direction of the dorms, letting the boys go only so she could summon her weapon and get ready for anything that might spring on them. The moment they were near the dorms, a rather large, semi-solid creature appeared and charged straight for them.

It definitely didn't take long before they ran into something. Despite expecting enemies, it still managed to surprise Deryk when it first showed up. Letting out a cry, he stumbled back before quickly calling out Tooley. The swipe he had made at it was a wide one, mostly to keep it back.
It didn't really work that well.
