Hi, my name is Juniper Masters
But I mostly go by June, or Juni - if you're a friend. Otherwise, don't presume.
I'm a girl.
I'm eleven years old.
This is my first year here at Hogwarts.
The house I'm in is Slytherin
People say that, in a nutshell, I'm more mature than my years, opinionated, ambitious, and driven. I want to make a difference in the world. I like to learn things I can use to my benefit and interests. I try to avoid things I consider foolish or petty, focusing on what I want. Even if on the outside I seem quiet, I may just be listening and holding my cards.
My background story
The story of a child is never their own story at first, but the story of their parents. Juniper's mother Alyssa was of a pureblood wizarding family which held to archaic traditions. Alyssa was officially courted and married to a young man of a similar household. While they got along well enough, they both sought partners elsewhere. Their families mostly didn't care as long as discretion and pretenses were utilized. Until Alyssa became pregnant. Then the wondering began. While a simple muggle paternity test could prove their suspicions, they preferred to leave it unsaid and unproven, rather than deal with the scandal a definite answer would procure.
Juniper was loved and cared for, and enjoyed the excess and entitlement her family's station gave them. But she always caught the odd glances at larger family gatherings. Overheard odd snippets of conversations when she ought to have been in bed, or when others would simply ignore that a child is nearby. Since her look primarily took after her mother, she could devise no sure answer herself. But she imagined who else her biological father might be. Surely someone her grandparents must not approve of... what if he is a squib? Or a muggle?! Might she have any half siblings somewhere? Alyssa was adamant that there was no such thing. But the rumors prevailed.
These suspicions made her re-evaluate her feelings on these social dynamics. She made friends at school with some halfies and muggle born, primarily for the purpose of learning more about their side of the world. An unexpected side effect of this interest was she found she rather liked some muggle fashions and cultures. Her own, of course, was still best... but no reason one can't adopt some of the good stuff...
She never did discover any further clues as to if the family rumors were true. And when her family discovered her interests, it lead to a lot of arguments. They worried for tradition and reputation's sake, and Juniper raged as a young girl growing into her teenage independence. The suspicions at her charm school was an annoyance to constantly fend off. Juniper was relieved when her letter to come to Hogwarts was received. A fresh start, away from family, new people, on her own to find her own battles.
I enjoy quietly sitting outside and watching people, cats, reading, solving puzzles, fashion, and the feeling of a project well done.
I despise having my time wasted, and people who are stupid and useless to me. I don't like dirty tasks, or dogs. I have little interest in sports, yes that includes Quiddich. And I don't get most humor because I'm too literal minded. I also hate getting bad grades.
I look like a young girl who is a bit shorter than average. She is pretty, pale skin with long dark brown hair and vivid green eyes through which she coolly regards the world around her. She is even prettier when she cares to smile.

My wand is an eleven inch unyielding vine wood wand with an Acromantula Silk core (approved)
My pet is a beautiful Maine Coon silver tabby cat with green eyes named Elizabeth, for the queen, and because she is so very majestic with her long fur. She is a very large cat, easily as big as most small dogs.
