Remembrance: RP between [Souppi] (Tenko72) and [Tamie] (Reoakee)
Glade:: Flyterion Glades
Setting:: Afternoon. Cloudy, but warm.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 22, 2012 4:44 pm

"Could you read it to me again, please?" Souppi wondered if his older sister, The Libra, thought something was up when he kept asking her to read the same poem over and over to him. If she did think so, then he couldn't tell.

"Again? Yes, but this is the last time. I need to start making dinner after this."

"Thank you!" He was memorizing it, so he could tell it to Tamie, because this was his favorite poem.

After that, he was going to go outside and play, while she prepared food. Before he left, he asked, "May I borrow it?"

She laughed and then said, "Yes, you may." He thought she was laughing, because she knew he didn't know how to read, yet.

After this, he took the book and pushed it ahead of him through the glades. Even though he couldn't read all the words, he thought having it with him would help him remember what he had memorized. He told Tamie he could meet her here, so all he had to do now was wait.

Tamie liked sweets but she found she could only handle one or two at a time without feeling sick. And so with her small pouch of assorted treats that Reoakee had given her the day before Tamie was on her mission.

After having been badgered by Rubido for days to get out and be more sociable Tamie finally left the home in gaia she and Rubido shared with a human named Reoakee and had headed to the Flyterion glades to meet one of the few Gladiers that she was not scared by. Souppi was a sweet little gladier that had been trying to tell Tamie a poem before but couldn’t remember all of it so today Tamie was going to meet him and see if he had found out the rest of the literary work. It had been so long since Tamie had last been in the glades that she felt a bit homesick and also a bit out of place. She wondered if someone would stop her and ask what she was doing. She didn’t even know if she was in the right place. What if Souppi had said a different glade and Tamie miss heard? The thought made her shiver, still not knowing what else to do she wandered the glade hoping not to be noticed.

Souppi stopped walked when he saw Tamie. He knew it was her, because her markings were very distinctive. They still reminded him of a chocolate chip cookie. He wasn't sure if he could see her behind the book, so he leaped over it and waved to her. "Miss Tamie, it's me, Souppi!" He smiled and added, "You're right on time."

Twitching and nearly dropping to her stomach out of reflex Tamie looked over at the little one and smiled. “R-right. Hello again Souppi.” Heading over to him she noticed he had a book of some sort. “How have you been Souppi.” He was so energetic and nice it was cute, not that she would ever say so. She didn’t want to offend Souppi since he seemed to want to be thought of as an adult.

(Also Tamie has been in the kitchen alot and now almost always has sweets with her, so she not only looks like a cookie, but she probably smells like one now too. *laughs*)

(OOC: Awww, that's adorable.)

"Good afternoon. I've been great." Souppi noticed she was nervous, but he thought it was just because she was some place she had not been before. He knew he felt that way too when he went somewhere new. He tried to put her at ease. "You smell as nice as you look." His siblings told him everyone liked compliments.

"I finally memorized the whole thing." After that, Souppi put the book between them, so she could see it too, and flipped to the page it was on. "Should I say it now?"

“Thank you very much. It’s probably the cookies I have with me.” You scared me when you popped up out of nowhere and yelled like that. She wanted to say that, but didn’t want to say anything mean to Souppi after all she had come here to meet him. Besides she could never say anything mean to a little one. It just wasn’t in her nature.

“I’d love to hear the whole thing if you have the time for it.”
Sitting down to give Souppie her undivided attention she wondered how long the poem was. She glanced at the book and was surprised how tiny and neat the writing inside was.

(Thankie. I thought so. plus it makes since, after all she discovered cookies when Quinn gave her some and is now well practiced at making them herself.)

(OOC: Awww!
Sorry for the length of this next part. The poem was longer than I thought.)

Souppi hadn't noticed that Tamie was startled before. "You're welcome! You made them yourself? I've never cooked anything before, but I like helping my sister make things."

His tail wagged happily. "I have time. I don't need to be back 'til sunset. Dinner should be ready by then."

After that, he stood up as tall as he could and cleared his throat. He wanted to look like a real poet, even though he was just reading what someone else had wrote. "Thrice the brinded cat has mewed.
Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whined.
Harpier cries: It's time! It's time!
Round about the caldron go;
In the poisoned entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone,
Days and nights has thirty-one;
Sweltered venom sleeping got,
Boil--"

All of a sudden, his mind went blank. He remembered there was an unusual word in this next part. One he always had trouble remembering. He hoped Tamie didn't see him sweat. He closed his eyes and thought of what it could be. It sounded kind of like "the" or "though" or "ow". What is it? Oh, wait! Wait. I remember now. He opened his eyes, took a deep breath, and continued. "--thou first is the charmed pot!
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
Scale of dragon; tooth of wolf;
Witches' mummy; maw and gulf
Of the ravined salt-sea shark;
Root of hemlock digged i the dark;
Liver of blaspheming Jew;
Gall of goat, and slips of yew
Slivered in the moon's eclipse;
Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;
Finger of birth-strangled babe
Ditch-delivered by a drab,
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
For the ingrediants of our caldron.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good."

After that, he sighed in relief. He had managed to say the entire poem. He thought he might've messed up here and there, but for something he had to to do by heart, he believed he did fine. Then, he took a bow and said, "That's all. What do you think? My favorite parts are the ones about cats, dragons, and cauldrons."

(That’s fine. )

“Well I did have some help from a human. She is very good at making desserts.”
Tamie smiled at Souppi. He seemed so sweet wanting to help his sister out with things. She bet he didn’t torment his sister like Rubido tormented her, and they weren’t even related. She nodded to his time limit. “I have time too. I don’t have to be back at any specific time that I know of.” Of course as soon as she and Souppi were done playing she would be racing back home as soon as she could. Being in a strange place made Tamie feel uneasy.

She watched him stand up and laid down so that she could give him her complete attention without looking down on him at all. This was his time to shine and she would not botch that from him. She listened quietly. What was a hedge-pig? There were a lot of strange words in the poem but it sounded interesting. It was certainly something she had never heard before. There was a pause in the recital and Tamie listened patiently with the book between them. She was impressed that Souppi didn’t once look down at it. At the end she clapped her paws together while Souppi took a bow. “I think it was wonderful! I can’t believe your remembered something so long.”

(OOC: Phew, that's good.)

Souppi was overjoyed. He could barely keep in one place. He was fidgeting excitedly in place. "Really? You really think so? Thank you so much!"

Still high off of the happiness, he said, "Since you have time, is there anything you wanted to do while you were here? I could show you around."

(*laughs* you need never worry about long replies with me. I’m very used to long replies thanks to a friend of mine in another shop. She has replies that take up half a page in a word document -_-‘ and yet RPing with her is so fun I keep going back for more. *must be masochistic.*)

Tamie tried very hard not to laugh at Souppi’s eagerness. He was so energetic. She supposed that was a privilege of youth. Looking around she wondered. This glade was one she wasn’t familiar with and she didn’t know was in it. Still if Souppi knew the area then why not follow him. He knew what was safe right? Tamie couldn’t imagine the little one doing anything dangerous. “I would like that Souppi.” She gave him a warm smile. “And afterwards we can share a snack, does that sound good?”
PostPosted: Mon Apr 30, 2012 2:30 pm

"That is great! And that does sound good." He thought there was nothing like a snack after a pleasant afternoon stroll.

He mumbled, "Let's see, let's see... Where to start?" while he thought of what place he should show her first. Then, he thought, Since we're here already, we could go to that place I went to the other day.

"Now, you can follow me. We're almost there, so it won't take long." He walked up to a tall deciduous tree with countless green leaves. He looked up at it and said, "This is a tree. I don't know what kind it is, but I do know that when it's autumn, the leaves change colors and fall off." Then, he stopped and looked at her, because he thought this next part was important. "It looks very pretty. I think this is the best place to hide when playing hide and seek too."

Very glad she had the sense to pack her little bag of treats quite full the brown female wondered where the little boy would take her. She could only shrug when he asked where to start. She had no idea what was in this place so where to go was beyond her. Thankfully Souppi hadn’t really needed her input. “Alright.” Tamie got up to follow him and blinked looking at the tree. It seemed lovely enough now she wondered what it would look like in the fall. Did the leaves change all colors or just a few? “It is really pretty. You know you shouldn’t have told me that this is the best place to hide for that game. I’ll look for you here first every time. But don’t worry I won’t tell anyone else about it.” Tamie looked into Souppi’s blue eyes very seriously feeling honored that Souppi would feel his favorite things with her. Rubido would say something was his favorite to tease Tamie later about it or something else. It was nice to meet someone so honest, even it was only a child.

"No worries. I'll just make sure to seek whenever I play with you or I can hide in the second best hiding spot." Souppi remembered the big rock he thought about hiding behind before. He decided on the tree that time, but next time, he would choose it. "I haven't told you about that one, yet."

"Thank you." He was glad that Tamie would keep that a secret.

After that, he walked behind the tree to a bunch of bushes. Each bush had a different kinds of berries growing on them. "These taste sweet, so if you like sweet things, then you would probably like them too." He thought of how he had eaten a lot of berries before, because he didn't know that. While he liked the taste of sweet things, he hated getting sugar high. So, he had told his family that he didn't like sweets at all.

Laughing softly Tamie was always surprised by Souppi’s quick wit. “Well it would be a short game since I only know of this hiding spot.” She shook her head. “Don’t tell me, even if you show me. That way I can be surprised if we play a game.” That made sense to do. Tamie followed him to some bushes. She nodded to his explanation before cautiously sniffing one of them. Some of them smelled sugary sweet while others smelled a bit fruity. She supposed the smell might be very different from the actual taste, but she didn’t recognize any of the berries so she couldn’t say for certain. “Are these really safe to eat?” She looked at Souppi not sure if the berries were edible and not poisonous. She wondered if Souppi would even know after all he was very young.
