OK this is a game that I enjoy playing. The point of the game is for me to start a story or make the proverbial first link of the story chain. Please if you are going to add a link don't make it tiny. Lets aim for paragraphs plus. Please don't be afraid to jump in and bring alot of imagination with you. This could be alot of fun as long as we get enough participants. If you are going to post a new chain link then please number it according to the last link you are going from. Please no nonsense and keep it as literate as possible.
Link#1 This day was like nothing he had ever seen. The wind was howling like a pack of blood thirsty wolves waiting to feast upon your still living flesh. The rain fell from the sky like a torent of icy needles. Lighting played across the sky nonstop making it possible to see the giant trees beaming tossed in the wind like corn stalks. There he stood in the doorway of the last stop inn and pub watching the furious storm batter the small town trying to get up the nerve to plunge into the storm and make his way home. When he knew he could wait no longer he pulled his hood over his head and ran out into the tempest that shrouded the area. It was hard for him to keep his footing while the fierce wind was doing but trying to knock him into the mud. It was right about now that he wished he had not had so many drinks because the muddy ground and the mighty wind forced him down and he was far to drunk to fight it anymore. As he hit the ground he heard lightning strike very close to him and soon after he heard the tell tale signs of a tree falling. By the time the events happing clicked in his drunk mind it was to late for there was just enough time for him to look back and see the tree falling toward him........,..............
OK now its time for one of you to addthe next link. I left alot open. Remember its a fantasy.

Link #2
The cracking sounds emitted from the falling tree seemed almost to confirm this young man's doom. He closed his eyes and prepared for the end. He lay there for what seemed like an eternity but no crushing death came to him. The rain stung his face, bringing his brain back from its distracted state, and he slowly opened his eyes. The tree had simply stopped in mid-air.
The man rolled himself onto his hands and knees and try to crawl out of the tree landing spot. As soon as he was clear, the tree landed on the ground with a large thud and great torrent of mud flew up and landed on the poor man. He crawled himself to a nearby tree to rest his head and to process what he had seen.
Why was he saved, he wondered. A simple question but one he knew would have a complex answer. His toughts were inturupted by...

Link 3 His thoughts where interupted by another loud crack of lightning followed by a blood curdling scream. He looked around to locate the source of the scream and immediately he saw that the house right next to the tree that had nearly claimed his life seconds before was aflame. He stumbled toward the house still in a stuper from his previous encounter and the mead from before. But even in his state he still knew that lighting never strikes the same place twice and here he was running to a house ablaze from a lightning strike only feet away from where a lightning strike sent a tree to end him. When he got to the house he could locate no safe way to enter and rescue the source of the screams coming from inside. Time was of the essence for the screams where getting faint. Something had to be done. The man ran around the house to the wood shed in the back to try and find an axe. Once he located and axe he spun on his heels and headed for the back door of the house and with all his might brought the axe down on the door. It did not take much to knock the burnt door down but when he did a blast of heat and flames reached out toward him and for a second he thought that the flames were shaped like a hand trying to grab him and pull him into the fiery abyss............
