Hai. In this thread you can post pictures of you knives! 3nodding

Here's my Benchmade 943! It has an aluminum handle with partial steel liners and an S30V blade. The action is silky smooth and it locks up with zero blade play.

Here's a pic of a Benchmade 530. I have the stain blade version and the Titanium coated version. It has GRN(glass reinforced nylon) handles with partial steel liners and like most Benchmade knives it opens like a hot blade through butter and because of the AXIS lock, it locks up like a bank vault(an overused term I know sweatdrop ) with no play on this one either. The blade is made of 154CM steel. I made a review for it which can be found HERE.

(I'll upload a pic of my actual knife soon, which isn't quite as pretty as the brand new one above.)

The right bloom is the knife, the left crumbled apart because of too much carbon and was almost cast iron.

User Image

This is the bloom compacted into an ingot and ready for folding

User Image

2 folds later it's half the size it used to be

This is called "s**t". You can see cracks everywhere. This is bad steel. However I sharpened the edge and it holds it quite well. Much better than any kitchen knife I bought at the store. This is our chicken knife for cleaning chickens before we coat them in barbeque sauce and roast em up!

well ok , i knew youd ask about this one...
ill give you some background on it.
i built this one,
first off the handle is made of a steel flashlight casing,
its not a full tang but its secured properly.
it has a place to attach rope.

there is a weight in the center.
say if i were to stab a table-top,
well without the weight it wouldent penetrate very far,
the way ive set up the weight, when you swing the knife and stop abruptly,
you can feel the knife keep going because of the spring and weight inside it.
edit=[with inertia in mind i wanted the blade to be more spectacular]

ive used this for 2 throwing applications,
one is balancing the handle with the blade
two is increasing its penetration force.
with success.

That's so freakin cool. I've never heard of such a knife. It's like a knife with assisted thrust force. So cool!

I concur with that. I've been trying quite a lot to advertise without spamming up the forums. I suppose since I'm so into knives so much I forget that not everyone feels the same way about them. sweatdrop

1st- my main knife (EDC), Raja 2 from cold steel.
2nd- Cheap China made Balisong. I only know a few tricks because i never bought the beginner dull blade to practice on.
3rd- Small Spring assisted little China Made knife. Used for opening letters.
4th-Elk Ridge hunting knife. I love this knife, got it when i was 16.
5th-Spring assisted Twin Karambit China Made knife. I never use these anymore, but when i didn't know much about quality and steel quality, i would use 1 of these as my EDC.
6th- My Ka-Bar Machete. Field tested this while i went camping. chopped a 4X4 like a champ.
7th- Cold Steel Sure Balance Throwing Knives. 95% of the time, it sticks. But i only use the no spin technique.
8th- China no name made 4x knife. For looks, never cut anything with it. Was my 2nd knife ever bought.
12 Gauge Accidently Did a little cameo. lol
