Bouncy_Pineapple (Lizzie Arella) vs. Flint Harven (DJ Snowkat)
Here's how it'll go down. This will be a single one vs one pokemon battle.
FIRST POSTS (for both of you): An introduction post of you walking into the stadium, DO NOT LET OUT YOUR POKEMON YET, and rolling a 100-sided dice.
SECOND POSTS: The person who rolled the highest last time now sends out their pokemon (DO NOT ATTACK) and preferably posts the pokemon's cert/stats
The other person now sends out their pokemon (DO NOT ATTACK)
THIRD POSTS: The person who sent out their pokemon first can now attack
Then the battle proceeds as normal.

THE FIELD OF CHOICE IS....
Plain Stage: If no random battlefield is chosen/randomized, the arena will merely stay as a simple concrete arena that looks like this. Raised platforms allow trainers to observe and give orders without as much personal risk to themselves.

Was Lizzie nervous about this fight? For once, yes. This was a battle with higher stakes than normal. Even though she was anxious and had every right to be so, she tried to not let it show. It wouldn't do her any good to visibly panic.
"Good luck to you." She said to the opponent on the other side of the field. She had her hand on a Pokeball, ready to send it out.

Flint walked out onto the field feeling more nervous than usual. It wasn't the battle itself, but that stakes that depended on the outcome. He shook himself to rid himself of his worrisome thoughts and turned his attention to his opponent. He smiled good-naturally " good luck to you too!"

Feeling that she should go all out in an important battle such as this one, Lizzie unclipped a Pokeball and threw it into the air. The red flash grew larger until it materialized as the legendary Pokemon, Lugia.  (1000/1000) Admittedly he hasn't battled very much in Zatao, but she trusted that he wouldn't fail her. Psywater landed on the field and glanced back at his trainer. She gave him a reassuring nod and a look that told him everything.

Flints eyes widened and he fought a wave of dismay that threatened to overwhelm him. A legendary! he shook his head. Legendary or not, he would battle his hardest. Quickly running over a list of his pokemons strengths and weaknesses he decided on the Pokemon best suited for this challenge.  (1050/1050) "Rush, lets do this!" he called and released the Tauros from his pokeball. Rush let out a fierce bellow and cast a critical eye over his opponent. This would certainly be an interesting battle.

Psywater, despite his massive bulk, flinched when the Tauros let out a roar. He was rather inexperienced and was slightly intimidated by the battled-scarred Pokemon. Lizzie however was unfazed and willed that her Lugia would be the same.
"Use Safeguard!" She called out for his first move. Psywater bowed his head and concentrated, summoning a shimmering veil of light around him.

Rush snorted and tossed his head, eager to start. Flint knew his pokemon was impatient and would act on his own if he did not name an attack quickly enough. "Rush, lets start with Stone edge!"
Using his hooves Rush broke up the cement below him and kicked the sharp fragments at Psywater.

Psywater tried his best to dodge the sharp rock fragments but to no avail. He didn't have much space to fly around, especially with how big he was. The knife-like edges slashed at his skin, causing him to cry out in pain.
"Shake it off!" Lizzie shouted. This Tauros was a strong opponent and they needed to get a step ahead of him. "Ice Beam!"
Psywater seemed to have calmed down just by his trainer's voice. He looked directly at Rush and fired an icy cold shot at him, aiming to freeze.

Rush didnt even have time to react before he was frozen solid. Flitn flinched, that had to be unpleasant, he could only hope Rush would be able to break free soon.

Lizzie couldn't help but smile at this turn of events. But she and Psywater couldn't relax just yet. The battle was only beginning and they had a long ways to go.
"Use Rock Smash!" She commanded. Psywater swung his tail and smacked the frozen Tauros, not hard enough to smash the ice but enough to shake him up.

if he had not been frozen, rush would have flinched from the attack, as it was he could only stand silently and take it.

Lizzie didn't exactly know how long the ice would last, though it looked pretty solid. She decided it would be best to start attacking now. "Psywater, use Rock Smash for damage!"
The Lugia swung its tail again, this time with more speed and more force behind his attack.

Rush mentally prepared himself for the attack, but it never came. Psywaters aim had been off and the attack hit the ground next to him, causing no harm to Rush.

"Oh come on." Lizzie groaned. She didn't know how her Pokemon missed a chunk of ice but this miss shouldn't cost them the whole battle. They still had plenty of time to get hits in. "Hit him again!"
Psywater swung his tail again, this time aiming where he struck. He was determined to not miss again!
