Walpurgis Night (Qixel) vs Shina Kiremono (Nanashi Kage Enjeru)
Here's how it'll go down. This will be a single one vs one pokemon battle.
FIRST POSTS (for both of you): An introduction post of you walking into the stadium, DO NOT LET OUT YOUR POKEMON YET, and rolling a 100-sided dice.
SECOND POSTS: The person who rolled the highest last time now sends out their pokemon (DO NOT ATTACK) and preferably posts the pokemon's cert/stats
The other person now sends out their pokemon (DO NOT ATTACK)
THIRD POSTS: The person who sent out their pokemon first can now attack
Then the battle proceeds as normal.

THE FIELD OF CHOICE IS....
Plain Stage: If no random battlefield is chosen/randomized, the arena will merely stay as a simple concrete arena that looks like this. Raised platforms allow trainers to observe and give orders without as much personal risk to themselves.

Walpurgis Night made his way into the glaring lights of the stadium. It wasn't his first battle by any shot, but anticipation raged through him. He squinted his eye into the lights - although he knew them not to be, he couldn't help but think they seemed brighter. He took a deep breath, and emerged into the stadium.
The stage was a simple one, plain concrete. Despite being the most basic of them all, he'd never fought in this type of stage. Thinking back, he thought of what he'd done to get here. His parents, left behind. Mr. Sol, who coached him. Reis, who encouraged him. Team Rocket, who supported him. He wanted to make them all proud, to validate the assistance they had given him. To show them they were not mistaken in caring about him. It all came to this.
He looked ahead, determination in his eye.

The doors slid open and Shina stepped into the stadium. Striding forward, she took her place in the trainer's box. Her fingers trailed over the pokeballs at her waist. Rasha, her loyal companion. Tenka, her spirited surprise. Annabell, her battle-loving bundle of energy. And, of course, her reasons for thinking about settling down, Rei and Yuki, her Eevees.
Shina could just imagine the tongues wagging back home. Little Shina, applying to be a gym leader? How scandalous! Shina's chin came up stubbornly. She was done doing what those gossiping old biddies wanted. She was here, she was strong, and she was going to do her best to win.
Peering through the blinding lights, Shina was finally able to make out her opponent. "Walpurgis. I should have known. Shall we battle?"

Shina's finger trailed over her pokeballs once more, before settling on one. "Let's get this started," she whispered to herself. Then she tossed the pokeball high into the air. "Go Tenka!"  1100 HP

Walpurgis saw his opponent. His very familiar opponent. He smiled. He'd fought Shina so many times, and the nervousness he had felt simply washed away. This was no different than a normal battle. He looked at the Emolga, who he had fought before as well. Gangrel would want another shot at him.
"You know, I'm glad you were my first opponent, Shina. It would have been more shonen-manga-like to have us fight in the final round, but given how nervous I was before this, I don't know I'd have made it. But everything is clear now, and I'll not be holding back. I suspect it will be the same for you."Pulling a pokeball from his belt, he unleashed the rattata within. Gangrel appeared on the stage below, red eyes flashing.  800 HP, +50 ATK

"This does feel familiar, I agree. Let's have fun, and put on a good show for the judges!" Shina ran through the moves she could ask for, then called out "Tenka, Charge Beam!" Tenka gathered his energy, raising his attack.

"Gangrel, Blizzard, now!"
Gangrel's eyes turned a light blue as the winds picked up all around, blasting snow everywhere. He willed the torrent of ice at Tenka.

Tenka sheered off to the side, using the cold front to drop like a stone towards the Ratatta. Seeing the speed he was building, Shina quickly called "Iron Tail!" Tenka's tail gained a metallic sheen as he drew closer to his target.

Gangrel was flung back by the sheer force of the blow, landing hard on the concrete.
"Gangrel, keep it up!"
Gangrel got to his feet, willing the snowstorm back towards the emolga.

Tenka again slipped away from the attack, climbing for a little distance. "Charge Beam!" Shina ordered. Tenka promptly sent a bolt of energy towards Gangrel.

Gangrel willed the snowstorm to himself, blowing out of the way of the attack while simultaneously aiming for Tenka.

Tenka peeled off to the side, abandoning the attack in favor of not taking damage himself. Coming around for a second run, he tried again.
