Caelian was starting to feel really, really good about her patrols. She was getting more and more comfortable dealing with youmas, and had helped not one, but two other pages beat youmas, and had kept a level head throughout the entire experience. Yes, maybe she really had been destined to fill this role, maybe…maybe being a Page of Venus was her destiny.

She let out a laugh at the very thought, though something inside her made it feel like this really was what she was supposed to be doing. Like this was that thing she had been waiting for since she was born, and now that she had it, it was a pain that had lifted, even though there had been no pain prior to this.

Perhaps the only thing that she was still rather iffy about was having to fight other people. Even if they were doing some pretty awful things…they were still other people. It wasn’t fair that she should judge them…but…She knew that she had to protect the innocent, and if someone was hurting someone who had done nothing wrong, then that someone had to be stopped…and…Stopping them, meant stopping them at all costs. She, as a mother, and as a knight could not allow such things to continue to go one…it was her sworn duty to put an end to that…bullying.

Because that was all it was. The concept was little more than a schoolyard bully taking someone’s lunch money…though for this type of bullying, the consequence could very well end the life of the one being bullied.

Where the members of the Dark Mirror Court bullies? Not really. Sure, they had the unfortunate duty of harvesting energy, but it was all for the greater good. And some, Sailor Navi included, had taken on a decidedly vigilant stand on their energy gathering. Her victims were the unsavory scum of Destiny city. Criminals and thugs, anyone and everyone that she deemed a threat to the whole of the metropolis they all shared. It was a little high handed perhaps, but at least she wasn't after the innocent.

Her target tonight had been a drunk, and a violent one. She'd watched the man stumble from bar to bar, leaving black eyes and cracked ribs in his wake as he picked fight after fight with the random patrons inside. Not her usual sort of victim, but she'd made up her mind as she watched the b*****d threaten a woman walking along the street.

Her elbow applied the base of his skull effectively grounded the man, and the boosted strength the power brought let her drag him into a dark alley between two buildings. He hadn't even been a a challenge, and her mirrorwraith slid through his chest and back into the fractured glass between her fingers before even five minutes had passed. It was quick, it was clean, and with her work finished the dark senshi was free to enjoy the rest of her night.

Or not. She paused after turning to leave, head tilted up as she tried to pinpoint the source of the Order aura she was picking up. "Come out come out where ever you are-" The power signature she was feeling, it didn't taste like a senshi. "Knight."

Caelian paused having been moving towards the chaos signature for at least a moment or two. Well…that had been quick. She moved into the mouth of the alley and sighed. “Well. I suppose if you already know that I’m here, there’s no real point in trying to hide, now is there?”

This person seemed stronger than her, and it didn’t give her any good feelings…none at all. In fact, with the whole natural fight or flight response….right now flight was winning, and it was taking a good bit of courage not to just up and flee.

Honestly this seemed like a fight that she might not be able to win, no matter how she might try at it. She spotted a lump in the alley and paused. “What…is that on the ground back there…?” Of course the page had suspicions, but she didn’t want to be wrong…the lump looked like a person almost…or some sacks of flour. Maybe it was just garbage piled up like that. Couldn’t be a person. This…girl wouldn’t have killed anyone…would she have?

"No point at all," she agreed, chuckling against the back of her hand as the page came into view. There really was no point in trying to hide or sneak up on another soldier while powered up. If they were alert at all they'd feel the approach. Granted, there was always the few that just never payed attention..

"Well you're a pretty thing, aren't you?" Of all the Knights she'd encountered, this one was certainly the best dressed. She was used to seeing them in more middle eastern or Turkish attire, or medieval. Vaguely she wondered about the different clothing, but not enough to voice the curiosity now. She'd ask her Courtmates, surely one of them had an idea.

Ginger brows rose and she turned to glance back at the unconscious man laying unceremoniously in the alley behind her, then turned back with a grin. "A drunk. He was causing quite a lot of trouble before I took the wind from his sails." A sweep of her foot let her nudge the body with her heel.

Caelian gave a small nod. “I see.” She didn’t respond much to the comment about being a ‘pretty thing’…but maybe this outfit did just make her look younger. It was certainly more color that she normally wore. Pastels weren’t her thing most of the time, to tell the truth.

The woman looked back over as the girl kicked the…well. Now she knew it was a man. That was…disgusting to be honest. “So…you attacked a drunk man? But why? Was he trying to hurt you?”

She was being stupid right now, and she knew it…but honestly. No matter what people said…and even no matter what she had seen…these people…they couldn’t all be monsters doing things just for the sake of doing them. If this girl attacked a drunk man, she must have had a good reason for doing it. Perhaps he threatened her, or was just…being an all around public menace.

It didn’t do much good to just jump into fights. No kicking and punching and screaming unless the situation really called for it…Besides. The longer you talked, the longer you could plan a means of escape.

Navi had stepped back and around the lump of a man, the toe of her boot nudging one of his arms so it flopped back bonelessly when she moved away again. "Attack me? Goodness no, I'd never give him the chance." Another chuckle. "But he had been causing quite a fair bit of trouble, picking fights where ever he went. You see I followed him for a while to make sure he was actually scum before I took him out, wouldn't want to wrongfully attack someone that didn't deserve it." Leaving it at that, she almost sounded noble. Merely a dark clad vigilanty ridding the streets of violent individuals.

But that wouldn't have been the whole truth. "That wasn't the main reason I attacked him though." Another nudge, then seeming to grow bored with him, she moved back around to face the other girl, arms crossing across her chest. "I wanted his energy." The grin she offered the page was borderline evil.

She didn't delight in attacking people, and only picked people she felt deserved it. If not for the need for energy she wouldn't even bother. She did enjoy toying with Knights though, and any chance she got to rumble with one of their ranks she'd take.

Caelian nodded. “Well…” She was about to say at least a word of relief that the man hadn’t tried anything with her, sometimes drunk men did indeed like to mess with attractive younger girls, but then the girl got such a disgusting look on her face…a terrible grin that was right out of the movies.

No, she had been right at first. This wasn’t some girl to take some sympathy on, this was a girl who was tainted and seeded with chaos…and it was up to her to do something about it. That man might have been…among the most disgusting in the world, but still. He should have been…well, if he had gotten his a** handed to him, that would have been one thing, but to drain his energy just to add to the evil in the world…that was a different story, and that wasn’t a story that she wanted to hear. Not at all.

The page hesitated, then gave a sigh. She was going to have to do something about this…but…what could she really do?

“I can’t allow you to just take people’s energy, I really can’t. It’s against my ethical code.”

The delicate point of Navi's chin dipped to one side as she waited for the Page to process everything she'd just said, that mirthful little grin never leaving her face. After a second or two the other woman wouldn't disappoint.

"You can't allow me?" Her tone implied she found that statement rather far fetched and just a little comical. "And who exactly are you?" She made it a point to learn the names of the other warriors she came in contact with.

Though even as she waited for the page to make her move, or intorduce herself, the Dark Mirror Senshi had let her arms fall back to her sides, feet sliding apart for balance. Obviously preparing for the inevitable fight that this was all boiling down to. Is she wasn't so biased against the Knights as a whole she might have found the woman's conviction admirable, but as it was she was having trouble seeing her as anything but self-righteous and foolish.

It struck her then who this woman reminded her of, and the very thought of the Knight Camelot put a bad taste in her mouth. They all seemed to be the same. All fighting by some high-handed moral code, labeling those they crossed as good or evil with little regard for who they really were.

Caelian stood a little straighter and shook her head. “I am Caelian. Page of Venus…and it just isn’t fair. How would you like it if you were a helpless person and some pretty young woman was taking your energy, and just going to leave you there helpless?”

She paused, then sighed. The girl had said that this man had been a drunk who had been causing issues, so that might be a completely different story. “Well, if he was hurting other people, then yeah. I suppose it would be very hard to feel sorry for him…or even feel like he didn’t deserve this…but…what if he just had a really bad day at work, and his wife called him asking for a divorce, and he knew that he was a lousy father and was going to lose the love of his life, and all visitation rights to his seventeen children.”

The woman shrugged. “Of course, since he was a violent drunk, I’m not going to assume all seventeen children were his, and…well. Just keep draining the energy of violent drunken people then! Just not people that aren’t…violent and drunk…that’s just not fair.” Her voice fell flat and she knew that she must sound like a complete hypocrite, but there was nothing to be helped with that. There was just nothing else to say.
