In flashes, sunlight sprinkled itself onto a mare almost as bright and radiant as it. As she bounded through the woods and wove in and out between the old trees the warmth scattered itself across her earth toned coat. With a giggle she dodged an upcoming rock and lept over a nearby log. Ofelia was nearly always adventuring about in her happy manner and today was no exception as she further explored the woods that she had come upon only a few days prior.
She hadn't met anyone here as of yet and she was beginning to wonder if it was empty aside from little critters like the rabbits she had seen hopping around the day before and the songbirds that kept her company. If it was truly empty she would like to know why as it was so pretty in the afternoon sun. What to do, what to do, she thought to herself as she continued to wander about aimlessly.

The stallion had decided to take a bit of a walk, having been relieved of his scout duties for the day. He always preferred the sanctuary of the forest and the peace it instilled in him. He was moving slowly, taking in the sights sounds and smells all around him. He enjoyed the feeling of the ground beneath his cloven hooves and paused to close his eyes and take a deep breath. Suddenly he heard something NOT native to this forest - but not unwelcome. It was the unmistakable sound of another soquili. He started off in that direction, though he maintained his silence in case it was an unfriendly creature he was moving towards.
He was relieved when he rounded the truck of a large tree and spotted the mare running and skipping about. He couldn't help a smile at the sight - how happy and carefree she seemed! She moved closer to him and he stepped out into view, not wanting to startle her. "Hello there!"

As she hopped forward along her way an unfamiliar soquili popped out of nowhere into her sight. "Oh!" she squaked, a bit surprised. She had been wondering if anyone else roamed between these trees. The creature that stepped out was clearly male and though he looked quite different from herself he had the distinct tail of her breed, she was quite fond of her own in fact. Seeing him as a no apparent threat, not that she took much time to think about it, she pranced towards him. "Hey!" she replied brightly "I was beginning to wonder if this lovely place was empty but here you are. Isn't it lovely? I'm sure you've noticed, it's hard not to," she added as she babbled along in a friendly manner. "What brings you here today?"

He cocked his head at her in amusement as she talked. She was very full of life and energy! He smiled warmly at her and nodded along, letting her say her fill. When she paused, he answered "I live not far from here and was simply taking a walk. This is my favorite wood- and yes it is quite lovely. My name is Celegras." He gave her a slight bow of his head. "And what brings you here?"

"Oh really? That's nice. I don't really live anywhere persay, which I suppose is why I'm here. I like to travel alot you see so this is just where I happen to be roaming through at the moment. Though I must say it is one of the most lovely places I've been to." She glanced around at the charming view. Lovely, lovely, lovely. "Which is saying quite alot as I've been to lots of places before..." she paused before continuing, "I'm Ofelia, it's nice to meet you Celegras," she said smiling.

"It's nice to meet you Ofelia. It's a fine day and if you'd like, we could walk a bit together?" The stallion would never refuse company, and her talkative nature was nice to him. he spent so much time with his own thoughts - today he wished to hear someone else's.

The mare twisted her neck to get a better view into the stallion's eyes. As she smiled playfully her nose scrunched up and her eyes crinkled. One could always tell when Ofelia was really happy because her smile would go right up into her eyes. "Sure, I'd like that." She started off a few steps in the direction that she previously been going when she paused realizing that he probably knew all the ins and outs of these would and he'd know the best walking path. Plus, she hadn't actually been going anywhere, just wandering, so where they would end up by following her was completely unpredictable. She turned back to him instead with lifted brow and broad smile, "Are you coming? I'll need your expert abilities to lead the way."
