Viktor is, first and foremost, a scientist, a bold explorer of the unknown, a man who seeks to discern the patterns in which the world works. An unavoidable implication of this pursuit is, of course, the fact that much of the world lies swathed in a fog of mystery, waiting to be uncovered by men such as Viktor, and not all the secrets yet to be unlocked are safe. Viktor knows this fact all too well both from his past and from his profession, and in order to best protect himself on his journey through life, the man treats many experiences as experiments, to be approached methodically, the outcomes observed, and the results cataloged. Whether it be in his development of chemicals benevolent or damaging, cooking a new dish, or even conversing with a stranger, Viktor takes great care to ensure that he both lays a foundation for future repetition, should the results be favorable, and to keep himself safe, should the results be... not-so-favorable. His steady, methodical approach, coupled with his tendency to follow proven methods to the letter whenever possible, make him appear quite cautious, almost hesitant, and not everyone has patience for him.

Viktor knows pain. His body, weakened through complications as an egg, left his system weak, and life is a constant struggle to keep himself healthy, due to his increased susceptibility to disease, and increased sensitivity in general. Years of near-constant discomfort ranging from mild sickness to the agony of deathly illness, however, has rendered him almost calloused to the discomfort, to the point where he can almost lose track of it and wall his mind against it, for the sake of continuing his most current task. A tried and true trooper, Viktor often carries on through both pain and personal misfortune, and seldom allows any one thing to devastate him. He doesn't feel he can afford to, given how past so outweighs any individual moment in time, and it lends to him something like inertia. At the same time, when Viktor sees others in pain, he gauges these others against his own high threshold, and often has very little to offer in the way of emotional support. Often unsympathetic, what Viktor often offers instead of his heart is his wealth of chemical knowledge, an array of drugs that might help with any particular ailment. For a fee.

Viktor, given all of his pursuits, is often very, very busy, engrossed in one venture or another. Given that his profession involves him producing substances that range from highly addictive to highly useful, he is often in high demand, and a healthy portion of his clientele comes from more unsavory corners of Wonderland. As a result, Viktor has needed to develop a certain politeness in order to keep this clientele calm and complacent, for he can't afford to find himself out of anyone's favor. On top of being a businessman, Viktor also has to keep himself safe, and drug addicts can be known to act rather... sketchy when provoked. As an extension of this polite distance Viktor tries to keep from most everyone, he has become quite dismissive, almost as a reflex. In the case of both new and old acquaintances, Viktor is noncommittal and a tad cold, in a manner most unappealing. He can't quite afford to trust anyone at first, so he's forced to dismiss them out of a sense of his own best interest.

Viktor's goals are painted in bright red upon the inside of his forehead with each fresh wave of pain he weathers through, as each new discovery in his studies brings him closer to mastery of the world's secrets. He doesn't seek to escape from pain, and very seldom fashions himself medication of any form to take his mind away from it. Viktor wants to defeat pain, to find it at its source and yank it up by the roots, to cure himself of it once and for all. As a result, Viktor goes at his work and his life with a sort of dogged perseverance, allowing very little but for the most pressing matters to turn his mind from his goals. He's a powerful ally when presented with a task and an incentive to reach it, but his methods in achieving it aren't always the nicest. He allows morality and inhibitions to fall to the wayside, and instead focuses on the repeatable process of experimentation, and will often rely on testing on the defenseless, such as tweaking drug addicts. Viktor can't afford to feel remorse over the suffering he's inflicted, or to even try to justify himself. He merely seeks knowledge and an ends to his means.

Viktor finds it difficult to trust most others, due in equal parts to his distant approach to interaction with and his difficulty in both sympathizing with and understanding these others. He doesn't feel lonely as much as he feels disconnected and solitary, an individual who shares a mindset with very few others, and given his existence in a moral twilight where method and result are paramount, it's not such a longshot of an idea. When he finally meets someone he identifies with, however, and can confirm shares interests through careful testing, Viktor opens right up, and incorporates what he then sees as a new colleague into his own life. Viktor offers nothing but support to those he feels walk the same path as him, assisting in research, comparing notes, and engaging in intelligent conversation. He very much enjoys the company of those he grows to trust, seldom though he does. At the same time, Viktor harbors a sort of bias against those he feels are too different from himself, for he dares not open up to an individual who might not like what they learn of Viktor. He can be quite cold and distant, and it is often difficult to grow close to the man without learning to hide one's own ideals if they contrast too much with his own.

xxxxxJob: The development and testing of chemical weapons, as well as the manufacture and distribution of recreational drugs. If it affects the body or the mind, Viktor probably knows how it works and can whip you up a batch. His primary customers for weaponry is the Spades faction, whom he offers some degree of exclusivity in exchange for an equal degree of protection. For recreationals, though... any with the money are free to buy.
Extras::
xxxxxThe haz-mat mask: Viktor, through a rather unfortunate turn of events, was severely damaged in the egg from the surroundings in which he appeared. As a result, his immune system is weak, his lungs are sensitive, and his system is rather fragile. To even survive infancy, he was outfitted with a piece of tech, a hazardous materials mask that acts as a respirator, keeping him safe from diseases that any other might shrug off, but have the potential to make Viktor gravely ill. To this day, Viktor and the mask are inseperable, and as a result, he's protected from most germs and airborne toxins. It acts as an extra measure of protection, allowing him to work in places that would be deadly not only to him, but dangerous to healthier men as well.
Appearance::
xxxxxHair: Neck-length, often with bangs that cover or obscure his blind eye.
xxxxxEyes: Blue in his right, milky-white due to blindness in his left eye.
xxxxxSkin tone: Pale
xxxxxPalette: Dark, with light blues.
xxxxxClothing: Protective clothing, to keep from allowing caustic or otherwise dangerous chemicals from coming into contact with his sensitive skin.
xxxxxAdditional: The gas-mask is pretty much inseperable from Viktor for most of his early life, seeing as it keeps him alive.

TWO THINGS <3 Well three because firstly HE LOOKS GREAT SO FAR e ue
1) Do you mind if the weapons he's making are going to be handed over to Spades? o uo Or for some other sinister purpose? SNEAKY but idk if you're down with that xD
2) ... wait what was I going to say. Uhhh. OH RIGHT how does he feel about germs! I have to ask that e ue Germs and pollution, what are his thoughts!
3) I actually should have said 4 things I just wanted to mention that the beginning of "solidarity" made it sound like he was more solitary than into solidarity even if the trait blossoms into making sense there later on xD;

I've included an extension in his job description that mentions that he sells weapons almost entirely to Spades.
I've also included an extras section that goes more in-depth with his mask and how it allows him to deal with germs, pollution, and the like.
I don't really know how to change solidarity, the progression of motivation into description kind of trips me up. Do you think it needs change, or just making me aware of how it looks at first?
