The newest Nintendo Direct in Japan announced a new Firmware Upgrade for the 3DS. The Upgrade will include: -Folders on the Home Menu. You will be able to organize your Menu into different sections. For example, you can put DSiWare titles into one folder, and 3D Classics into another, and Virtual Console into another. You can organize them in any way you want. You can see a video of the Folder action here.-The ability to patch games. Games that will be patched include Mario Kart 7 and Kingdom Hearts 3D. This could mean that we will get DLC for Mario Kart 7, and that stupid glitch in Maka Wuhu could be fixed. I know Nintendo said that they had no interest in fixing that, but they COULD change their mind. It is NOT conformed that they will fix it, but I'm hoping they will. The Upgrade will be available on April 25 in America, but I'm pretty sure it will be the same for all other countries. EDIT: Umm, I PROBABLY should have mentioned this earlier, but MK7 won't be getting the patch until sometime in May. Sorry, I know I should have said something about that before. But, in this update, the creators of games now have the ABILITY to patch games. Sorry if there was any confusion, I just wanted to make that clear.

Hmm, Tiny Cartridge acted like it was confirmed that Maka Wuhu would be fixed, but while Nintendo Life mentions it, they just say its to fix various "shortcut" problems in the game. I do hope they mean MW, I don't know how they can't. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2012/04/mario_kart_7_to_get_shortcut_fixing_patchThe folders will be useful if not really that exciting. I think the patching upgrade will also pave the way for more extra purchased DLC for games, like Theatrhythm FF. I kinda think unfortunately older games like MK7 weren't designed to have DLC, so they can't have it added now (ie I'd have really loved to see more characters and older track remakes). But I guess we'll see, things always show up in Japan first.

I guess it's just a roomer, though. They also didn't mention them fixing the shortcut on MW on 3DS blog, but some people were taking it as a fact in the comments there. I remember seeing something about Nintendo saying that they had no plans in fixing it. confused

Folders are REALLY limited, but at least they hold stuff.
And I figured out you can't put the settings thing in a folder. At least I tossed health and safety info in one.
