Feeling lonely and disoriented the mare didn't know what to do or where to go. Her blue eyes looked at her surroundings and all she could feel was the chill that ran deep down her body. She was trying really hard to stay positive, but each and every time she would be her depression got the better of her. She wasn't coping well with anything that was for sure. Though this time it wasn't about not having a mate by her side, no this time it was about finding peace with oneself, which she could never seem to do. Most days she felt like walking into a lake and never resurfacing. It was the honest truth, but she knew there was something out there that would help make her think otherwise.
As she neared her favorite tree, she paused for a moment and lifted her head up as soon as the breeze wiped past. Her hair blew away from her face and for the first time in a long time she could see without her bangs clouding most of her vision. Though this only made matters worse. She hadn't been well recently. The night she stayed out in the rain made her ill and she knew this. She just was too stubborn to give herself a good rest and she was hoping it wasn't anything deathly. After a few moments, she lowered herself to the ground. She needed a little bit of rest before she went wandering aimlessly once more.
A sigh escaped her muzzle as she looked around the wide open plains. Her head lowered and soon her hair covered over her face only leaving her one eye to be seen. This was the usual for her. Hiding from the world, but all she needed was a little help and guidance to bring her spirits back up. Though...not many were up for a task like that.
(( btw I made this RP before she will get attacked since I haven't had the time to start writing that RP out...orz So I don't know if you would want Hiruki involved in that or not. ))

Hiruki was in a hurry to get back to his beach side. He bounded over the plains with a joyous gait in his step. He had seen his parents off, and traveled with them for the weekend. It was nice to see some of the inland locals. Now that he was alone, his goal was the sea. He didn't push himself to run too fast. Then he'd just tire out and have to stop for the night. If he kept going, he could rest late into the night, and then pick back up in the morning.
Onward he went!
He dashed right past a beautiful oak. He looked at it with awe for a moment, capturing it's allure as he ran past. But what was this?? At it's base was a lumped over mare. He turned his head forward and ran on. Something seemed off about her though, and he slowed down to a walk. He then turned his head back ever so, to get another look at her. Hmm. She seemed...sad? Or maybe she was hurt. That was all he needed to know. He began to trot backwards a bit, putting himself in reverse, then turning around towards the mare and heading her way.
He tried to appear casual, and looked the other way as he approached her. In delicate situations, one might not want to be approached by a stranger. He gave a moment hoping she would notice him coming, before turning to look her way. He raised his eyebrows, and leaned his head over to get his eyes down at her level. He had the warmest, gentle smile on his face.
He cleared his throat and then spoke: "Excuse me, Miss?" He waited for a response, wondering what was going on with her.

Hydro turned her head at the sound of another voice. She didn't know if it was a good idea that she was talking to him or not, but either way it could be a good way to ease her pain at the moment. Might cause her to actually open up to someone as well instead of always keeping to herself and letting herself be in the dark all the time.
"Hello..I'm...I'm sorry..I didn't know you were there."
She said lightly to him as she lifted her head a little bit taking a deep breath in the process. She tilted her head to the side and looked at him more with her hair not covering her face for once. She was always hiding behind her long blue hair, but this time she would try to be normal. She would try her hardest to not scare him away like she had done to all the others. It was going to be a difficult task, but with some hard work she knew it could happen. She really wanted to be the way she use to be. The way she remembered herself before this all happened.
"What is your name? I'm..Hydro...or what is left of me."
She lowered her head digging one hoof into the mud under her.

Hiruki didn't budge from his sunny disposition. He did change the pitch of his voice though. There are times when a chipper voice was not as needed as a soft one. He spoke with kindness in his response. "That's alright." he assured. She didn't have to apologize, but many did just as a gesture of kindness. It's a habit for some to apologize for everything, even when there is no fault or blame to be found.
"Hydro! What a great name. It makes me think of the water, as does your wispy blue hair. My father has hair like yours, but with a bit more kink of the in his locks." It was true. The very ends of his dads hair seemed to curl and flick like the waves themselves. It's where he got his own curly hair, just without the life of the sea in them.
"My name is Hiruki." he beamed with a gentle smile. "Merry to meet you ma'am." He enjoyed all the soq that he met. It seemed to him that Hydro was not in the best of moods. Life has a way to bring uncertainties to anyone at times. He had been lucky thus far, and had pretty much lived his life with a loving family that cared for each other greatly.

The mare didn't know what to make of this stallion. He seemed very friendly and was definitely someone on the more...chipper side of life which she didn't mind, just she didn't want to ruin his mood. Though this might be the perfect opportunity for her to act like how she use to be in the past. Maybe this was the time where she needed to try to change for the better instead of keep going down that road that led to nothing, but misery and loneliness.
"It's nice to meet you too Hiruki.."
She said lightly with the name rolling off her tongue. She hadn't actually said a stallions name in months maybe even a little over a year. She avoided them at all costs and really it was no one's fault. Things happen and she just wasn't the one that was meant to be with any of them. This fact hurt her, but nothing could be done and nothing would be done. Four lost loves later, here she was a broken mare that could barely even life a smile anymore. She knew she was letting it all get to her head and knew degrading herself wasn't much help either. She needed something to boost her confidence and didn't have the slightest clue as to what it could be.
"Thank you...I was never told I had a great name before..Ah..so your father has curly hair? Mine is wavy."
She told him flicking her blue mane from her eyes and showing him her face. She usually hid since it was the easiest thing to do, but this time she was going to try. She was going to try to open up and be a little better or maybe just a little less gloomy for once.
"You seem rather happy with life. What are you doing out here?"
She asked lowering her head once more and letting her hair mask her face again.

Hydro seemed a bit shy to him, hiding her face in her hair. He leaned in, trying to see her eyes under her hair to keep eye contact. "Life is something I try to get the most from. I just saw my parents off on an anniversary trip to the mountains! Love my family. I was happy to see them enjoying their time together." he smiled, closing his eyes to heighten his smile. They would not be back for quite some time. He actually thought about taking a trip himself, to visit his sister and her kids. For now he would return home to think about it. This stop in his journey back, was a welcome change of pace. He liked meeting new people! Most he knew, were of the sea variety!
"Hydro, what are you doing here under this tree? It's a beautiful day!" It was just that. Albeit, warm, as it was this time of year. The heat didn't effect him what-so-ever. He grew up on the beach after all, so he was very acclimated to warm weather. It might be different if he ever lived in dry heat, without the moist air. Hiruki didn't realize he might be asking Hydro a loaded question.

The cream colored mare tilted her head at the stallion trying her hardest to keep her face hidden the best she could. She didn't understand life and how anyone could want the most out of it. Maybe she was looking at life the wrong way and being a little too depressed about it. She shook her head and looked away from the older stallion letting out a sigh. "I wish I could say the same. I don't have really any family. My adoptive father and mother haven't spoken to me in a long time and my real family is deceased...But it's good to hear that your family is happy with life and such." She really didn't know if she felt anything for the conversation since she was so depressed. She was so tired of being the way she was that maybe it was time for a change. It was time for her to move on now before she ended up dying in the state she was in.
"I'm not doing much..Honestly...I'm trying to hide from the world." She said to him before giving him a long look and sighing deeply. "I feel like I should move on, but I don't know how or what I should do? I just feel so much pain and want others to suffer as much as me...maybe..I should just let the hate go. Maybe I should give up the grudge I hold in my heart?" He shook her head and looked down. "What do you think? I hate to ask a complete stranger for some advice, but...I'm not sure what I'm even doing with life anymore." She nodded to him and looked up giving a small smile.

Of all the things to happen in a day, meeting a someone with such distaste for life, was unexpected. It's a heavy emotion, that some wouldn't understand. With deep thought, one might also over complicate the situation. Today, luck had granted Hydro the perfect soul to meet and lament to. Hiruki normally didn't miss a beat. This time, he did pause for just a few. In his mind, he didn't want to answer too quickly, and appear as if he didn't understand the severity of her words. She didn't have to ask for his advice, her every word rang an answer he would have been ready to give either way.
Hiruki made sure to keep a serious face, but still hold a glimer of hope in his eyes. He tightened his lips slightly, then exhaled, lifting his eyebrows a little to show gentleness. "Hydro, I am no expert." he shrugged his shoulders up, and spoke more without relaxing them right away. "I think.." he exhaled again, dropping his shoulders and wrinkling his mouth to one side. "...you need a friend." he nodded in a matter-of-fact way. And with that he couldn't help himself. A glimmer of a smile slipped through on one side of his face. The thought occurred to him that she might not take this as an acceptable answer. "I mean, I know it's no replacement for any hardships or memories of your past." he said, trying to defend his answer. Every ounce of him intended that he be that friend, if that was the answer she needed.
Life is too short to not take an opportunity to bring light into someones life, when the chance arises. "So what do you say? Want a friend?"

Did she need a friend? This stallion was clearly offering himself to be her friend and she didn't fully know if it was something she could subject herself to. What if she was hurt? What if he left her like all the others did? Even though she knew the risks of this so called 'friendship,' if she wanted to move forward in any way she was going to have to let herself open up a little bit. It was hard, but it was needed. "A friend?" She said lightly to herself as she looked out into the distance wondering what could come from this or what might happen in the long run. She didn't really have a stable friend let alone anyone at the moment. Aellai had her own things going on and she understood that, but it didn't make her feel any less lonely.
"I think...I...think we could try being friends. I never had one so if I do something wrong let me know." She spoke softly to him and even though she still had that distant demeanor about her she was slowly becoming herself again. This was the start of something new in her life. Something she had never really experienced or tried before. "So Hiruki...where should we go first?" She asked looking onward into the vast distance ahead of them before taking a step forward.

The sun began to set, painting the sky with shades of pink, purple, and red. It would be night fall before he could make it back to the beach. Hiruki was okay with this. Fate would have it that he met Hydro instead of rushing home. Either way, he would of otherwise spent the evening alone. This was the norm. Sometimes he missed having someone to talk to, on the days his parents weren't around. Tonight would of been the first night home alone in a long while. Perhaps it was better for both of them, that there was a chance it could change.
Hiruki leaned forward and raised an eyebrow as she seriously thought out the possibility of friendship. Could friendship be something not to be taken lightly? He figured all friendship was welcome, but hadn't thought out that there are types that one might not want to be friends with. He would respect her if she deemed him an unworthy type. Albeit, a little sad if that was her conclusion.
As Hydro came to the conclusion that she would be willing to give friendship a try, Hiruki kicked back with glee. He rose up on his hind legs, and spindled his legs in front of him twice. "Great! I'm glad you are willing to give it a shot!" he fell back to the ground with a dull thud, and pranced his feet under him a few times before settling down. "I can't imagine you would do anything wrong, but I will try to let you know if you do. You can do the same for me, Hydro." he beamed at her. And thus a friendship is started! Life is unwhole without those in which one can call friend. For Hiruki, he had been blessed with the friendship of his mother, one stallion, and even a few seathi buddies. Now he had the friendship of Hydro. He would cherish it and put forth effort into being a good friend.
"Well, let's see. I was heading towards the beach, but it's still a small ways off yet. I can do that in the morning, when the sun comes back up. You can even join me! Is there anywhere you would like to go until then?" Darkness is the time to seek refuge. They had a few good hours before it would become dangerous for two soquili to be out alone.

Was this the right thing to do? She only hoped this wasn't a mistake and that it was something that would last for a long time. It seemed that she was cursed to where nothing lasted that long in her life. Even promises which ultimately only lead to broken hearts. It hurt, but she wouldn't cry over those kind of things. She would let them fester until finally breaking down in the long run. "Yes it's something new for me, but I guess it won't hurt to give it a try." She nodded to Hiruki before giving him a soft smile. It wasn't a fake one for once and she actually meant it. "Alright I will." Even though she had friends before she was very happen about this one. She couldn't explain it, but she felt it was going to outlast all the others that faded away over the years. He was so full of life and a positive stallion. It was something she could take and grow from even though it probably would be a little bit harder for her.
"Umm not really. I don't have anywhere to go..so I can join you. Maybe we can start to go in that direction? A good walk is something I always enjoy doing. I suppose it's all that traveling I have done." She smiled and she couldn't help it. He was making her smile more then she had done in a long long time. As she began to slowly walk towards him, she gave him a light nudge to his shoulder. "Let's get going. This will be my new beginning." She was trying her hardest to be like her old self and was trying to let all the bad emotions go. She was having much success with it as long as she was around him. Maybe he was the thing she needed. The thing she had been waiting for. "Is it possible for me to stay around you for awhile? If it's too much of a burden I understand...I just don't want to be alone again. Plus..you seem so positive and I want to be around that and not the negative." She told him honestly, peeking up at him with a small smile.

"We won't restrict anything, and let it all just be. If you need to stay around for a while, you can stay as long as you need." he smiled at her with no anxiety at all about having someone new around. If it was what she needed, he would be happy to oblige. It felt good to do for others and expect nothing in return. "If we travel by night, we will have to be careful. We can at least travel while the night is still young. When the night becomes silent even for the critters and bugs, we'll find a place to make safe haven till the morning comes."
A warmth bubbled up in him. This was very unexpected to find a mare by the way side and take her under his care. It was a big responsibility, and one he would address with respect. The spirits had a strange way of letting things happen, and he wasn't about to try and go agaist the waves of motion. As the tide brought things from the ocean to the shore, and back out again, so too had life brought Hydro to him. He would treasure her more than any normal seashell. Friendship was a rare treasure that he always cherished. He full on knew the prospect of a male and female becoming friends. It was a bit early to think about that, but it was something he couldn't help but wonder. Ayelet, his mother, had always taught him that friendship is the base of all relationships, even love.
"Let's be on our way." he said with a playful skip and a hop. "Are you hungry at all? We can find a nibble or two along the way if you are." he fell in line beside Hydro, flowing with everything in the most natural way. Hiruki was so easy going about everything so far. Why wouldn't someone want to help another who looked like they needed a pick me up? Looking up to the night clouds, he smirked. The sunset was still painting the sky in ever changing colors as the minutes passed. It was beautiful! His very coat seemed to capture the suns last colors of the day, and give him a bit of a glow.

Hydro felt both happy and relieved. She finally felt safe with someone and even though he was only her friend, it was still nice to have someone there that cares about you. It was astonishing how this all happened and how she went from being a sad depressed mare to a slightly cheerful one. It was all thanks to him and there wasn't anyway she could show him her appreciation. Maybe in the future something will dawn on her and she would wait for that moment. "Hungry? Umm no I'm fine.. I will probably be hungry once we get there. What about you?" She wanted to make sure he was fine as well. It's what friend's do right? She was naturally a caring person before all of this happened that made her into something she wasn't. Now she was beginning to become the person she knew and the person she remembered. "I think as long as we are together we will be safe. Maybe we should think positive that nothing will harm us?" She smiled a little at him as she followed closely at his side.
She didn't know how long the journey was going to be, but it didn't matter to her. Looking up at the night sky, she stared in awe at how beautiful it was before looking down at the ground below her. "You know my friend Aellai told me one day someone would help me regain my lost self. I didn't believe her, but now I do. I'm very grateful you were willing to have the time to help me." She didn't know what he did. Whether it was his positivity or not, he helped her become a little better in that short about of time. "What I'm trying to say is...Thank you." She told him lightly before giving him a small nuzzle. A sign of affection was always good and deep down she was a very affectionate person.

Hiruki was a little naive to the dangers of the night. Being at the beach most his life, he had always been protected by his father. Hopefully the spirits would protect him even more now that he had a lady with him!
He had a bounce in his step as he fell in step with Hydro. "Well, thanks for coming with me! The beach is a great play to relax and enjoy living. Maybe it will give you a sunny disposition. That is, if you want it." he beamed at her. Hiruki was so genuine and warm. Of course the first time he traveled away from home, a mare would be attracted to his personality! Any single mare in her right mind would. Although, things normally started with friendship. Hiruki's friends were of the small variety, and he hadn't met any potential "more than friends" types. This was the last thought in his mind though. His intentions were pure, and he only wanted the sad mare to enjoy herself a little.
"If we get tired, we'll stop for a rest." he nudged her back playfully.
