Incoming Thread - Wave 1: 73 THIS OCCURS AFTER THE WING MEET-AND-GREETS This Threadfall is for Malvren-Riders Only The Rules The Rules You may only post for ONE character per post. NO DELETING POSTS - You will receive an automatic greylisting for deleting posts. There is plenty of room for danger AND safety in this system, abuse will not be tolerated. Burn Posts are the action posts where one determines how much thread is burned and chance of being scored. Damage Posts are posts made separately from the Burn Posts, should a dragon suffer Threadscore. These must be separate from Burn Posts. Both Burn Posts and Damage Posts count towards the waiting period when a dragon's HP drops to 0. If you are withdrawing your character, please note this in bold in your post at the top. Please keep a tally of your EXP somewhere, be it a journal or otherwise. A separate thread for buying stats will be available. How to build your dragon's stats is described below, along with how to roll for damage and thread burning. Please note Silvers have a slightly different method. Time Riders ONLY: If a dragon participated in (aka posted during the Time Riders Event in Arc 1) the Time Riders' activities, their experience with Threadfall gives them a stat bonus of +5 to HP and +2 to Agility when initially calculating stats.

Z’fer of Bronze Calanoth // Burn Post
HP: 79 Agi: -3 Burn: +5
The next Fall arrived so quickly after the meeting that Z'fer hadn't a chance to get his wing together for a practice run. Still he'd announced their formation and as the Weyr prepared for Fall he was on top of each of his riders, double checking their positions, their fighting straps and their bags of firestone. He wanted as few mistakes as possible during his first time leading a wing. Still he knew not all would make it through unscathed if any did at all. His neck scar itched with the memory of that painful burn.
Calanoth rumbled. His eyes whirled with anticipation and he shifted his weight side to side, his wings flared. The large bronze was anxious to be off. Z'fer gave one last cursory scan of his ranks before mounting up and fastening his own straps securely. He tucked his braid down into his jacket and gave each firestone bag a tug to check their bindings. He opened one and started feeding stone to Calanoth, signalling the rest of his wing to do so as well. The sound of hundreds of dragons all chewing stone was a new one to his ears.
Z'fer raised his fist into the air, glancing behind him and pumping it. He felt the muscles bunch a split second before Calanoth launched them into the air with a bugle. ~We Fly!~
At R'hix's signal Z'fer gave his wing the coordinates and the command between. They arrived just as the leading edge of Fall approached them. Now his riders would be put to the test!

Z’fer of Bronze Calanoth// Damage Post
HP: 79 (-6) 73 Agi: -3 Burn: +5
Calanoth blinked between with a hiss as his wingtip was caught in a patch. Z'fer punched his thigh in anger. Humiliating! Utterly Humiliating! Not even SECONDS into his first Fall as a Wingleader and HE was the one who'd got hit! Yes there was compassion and worry for his bronze but the dragon echoed his sentiments returning to their position with a vicious roar.
~ It is nothing mine, I can still fly. ~

Blue Kameth HP: 45 Agility: +1
She would have liked time to practice the formation with her wing, but Thread did not afford them the time. Wykla could only hope that they remembered their places. Hope that it wasn't another scene like the first time. Kameth rumbled as his eyes whirled red. We will not repeat Mine. This time we are prepared. The blue turned his head to start accepting firestone.
Wykla gave him as much as he could hold without bursting into flame. "You're right." Her eyes kept glancing toward Z'fer. The flits she's sent to curl up in her weyr out of the way. Finally the signal to fly came. She gripped her straps; they were as ready as they'd ever be. Kameth pushed her into her seat as he took off after the Wingleader's bronze. Wykla double checked his visuals before then traversed the cold bewteen.
Kameth came out and orientated himself toward the Thread. He roared defiantly and flew toward it, flaming. His crouched low on his back encouraging him. No, this day Kameth of Malvren and His would Not flee before Thread.

Blue Kameth HP: 45 -2 = 43 Agility: +1
Wykla grinned as Thread ash floated past her. A small piece of thread separated just as Kameth flamed thus escaping incineration. It landed against his chest, and the blue squealed. She instantly had them pop between. Are you ok Kameth? The Wingleader wasn't the only one to fly right into Thread.
Yes Mine. It is very small. We will keep going.

Z’fer of Bronze Calanoth // Burn Post
HP: 73 Agi: -3 Burn: +5
~ Kameth is Hit. He will still fly~ Calanoth reared up, banking left and releasing a jet of flame high into the air as a patch of Thread came down from right above them. Z'fer gripped his riding straps as he pressed himself into the bronze neck in front of him. He couldn't spare a backwards glance at his wing at the moment, he could only hope they were holding their own behind him.

Though she had given the tangle she dodged a fair berth, a gust of wind flicked it back towards her and the very edge of one tendril stung the crimson's leg. Hissing more in annoyance than pain Moriath flashed briefly between to make sure she was rid of it before focusing on the next target.

Wykla and Blue Kameth HP: 43 Agility: +1
Wykla watched Z'fer ahead of her. No orders came back for a change so they kept going. Kameth there's a clump to our right. Like the blue needed her to tell him that. He curved to bring the thread into range and unleashed a gout of flame. She pulled another lump of firestone from her bag as Kameth demanded it while he resumed his position in the wing.

Moriath reported to her rider, The male was a fool but he was one of hers now, and though his injury was not her fault she felt the weight of guilt all the same. she called out to the wing, shifting her position slightly to allow for the missing rider and dragon. As she gathered breath for flame she hoped against hope that the male would fly again. She could not lose one of their wing the very first time she led them.

Z’fer of Bronze Calanoth // Burn Post
HP: 73 Agi: -3 Burn: +5
Z'fer signaled for them to turn and begin another pass. The wide arching turn is where he expected the most trouble if he had any. Already rider's were dropping out Weyr wide as their injuries overcame them. So far the horrible death keen hadn't sounded though and for that he was thankful.
As he was watching the other riders, Calanoth was watching Thread. ~ Thread Mine! ~ The Bronze let out a burst of flame right in front of him.
~Where? ackph-! ~ Z'fer was caught full in the face by the resulting ash cloud as he turned back to the front. ~ I need more info than that you ninny!~
~ Sorry Mine. Firestone! There was a hint of amusement in Calanoth's eyes as he swiveled his head back for more stone.
((78 Thread burned!))

M'lan and Brown Asoth
Agility: -1 HP: 59 Thread Burned: 7 Current Thread: 18
M'lan and Asoth were both nervous. The usually LOUD and attention seeking Brown was quiet and subdued while they prepared to fight Thread. It was the first time for many but even though Asoth was edgy, his instinct to fight Thread was strong and he chewed his firestone quickly and efficiently.
They found their place in their wing's formation and prepared to fight. They flew with the Wing, watching as others began to Flame, Asoth only stopping to get a little more firestone from M'lan. "I am large, i need more Firestone than some of the other Browns" he told his young rider. Then there was no more time for speaking, there was thread ahead of them and they were lost in the instinct that was the battle fought through the ages.

M'lan and Brown Asoth
Agility: -1 HP: 52 Thread Burned: 7 Current Thread: 18
Asoth flamed strongly and caught a large tangle of Thread with his flame. He didn't waste his time on continuing to flame already charred Thread by chasing it afterwards like some of the other dragons seemed to do. As he was turning to chase another tangle M'lan yelled as something burned across his face. Almost immediately he felt the cold of Between and the relief of Thread breaking up and away from him. When the emerged above Malvren's territories again he hissed at the pain, the warm air stinging the wound but he refused to let it affect him much. "I'm fine Asoth, next time i'll look around me and not at your flame" he reassured the Brown who had let out a strange, worried rumble. M'lan blinked a little and scrunched his face up a little. Well... he'd have a damn good scar there that's for sure. Maybe women would find it attractive when Asoth finally decided to chase a Green.
