I wanna get back into drawing my own art and such (I am INCREDIBLY rusty) so I was looking into getting another digital art tablet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Currently, I'm looking at a few Wacom designs, but I was wondering if there was anything better? biggrin
(Budget = about $200)

If you're at about $200 then you should save up a bit more and go for the Wacom Intuos Medium. I use a 4 Medium series at work for graphic design and it's great. Since the 5 series is out you should be able to find 4's for quite a bit cheaper now. I wouldn't go for anything less than that size though. It's a little limiting in terms of movement range.

I've got a tiny 5x4 DigiPro tablet. Bought it for $30. Though, I suggest the Wacom tablet-snemmy does some awesome things with it.

[ I use a 6x8" Wacom CTE. It's super basic, but it's served me well for years. I've had sooo many issues with Bamboo tablets, but I've never had a problem with this one. Not to mention it's also super strong and makes a great coaster.
I'm not sure the exact price I paid for it, since I got it second-hand off eBay, but my first tablet was a smaller version of the same model and it was one of the cheapest you could get.
Size really effects the price of a tablet though. Larger ones are slightly easier to use, particularly if you have a large monitor, but the difference isn't immense unless you're going from huge to tiny or vice-versa.
I'm not sure if anyone actually uses the extra buttons on the tablet itself. All I use my tablet for is drawing and I only really use the scroll wheel for zooming. ]

The first one worked for a few days, but then stopped recognizing pen pressure, and then later stop recognizing the driver entirely. I replaced it with a new one, which wouldn't let me alter any of the settings, despite messing with both the original driver, the driver that came with the new tablet and the driver downloaded from the tablet website. I wasted several weeks between the two.
Also I didn't like the texture.
With my CTE I just installed the driver, plugged in the tablet, and haven't had a problem since. ]
