Yeah, If you want to jabber about the movie, this is the place, because I'm just going on the record that it's awesome; and literally the only time I could stand seeing Tom Cruise on my TV screen. Seriously, he really surprised me with this one.

Yup, Discussion open..

Is it open to other Cruise movies? I hear the Mission Impossible ones tend to be rather decent.

Feel free. It's an open discussion, I suppose. I did manage to get all the way through War of the Worlds, so I guess I need to redact my statement about the number of times I watched one of his movies anyways.

My brother likes mission impossible, and he's a pretty cool dude, so It can't be all bad. I've never seen any of them myself though.

Ah War of Worlds, that is definitely a struggle to get through with that banshee of a state. The first and second MI movie looked pretty good but it's been a while since I've seen them. I will say that it seems like he doesn't age in any of his movies or at least the MI ones. He's still chiseled or sculpted, whatever as he was in the first.

Last Samurai was good, but.... would it have been AS good without Cruise?
I mean, I'm not a fan of him... at all. But I actually don't think it would have been as good without him. He did play his role very well.

Saying that, maybe I liked it because all the other actors were great, and he was just... Tom Cruise. I donno sweatdrop

I agree with you completely. They needed a white guy, for obvious reasons, but I never expected Cruise to be able to pull it off.

I suppose, at the time it was made, who ELSE was gonna do it? Best actors for the 2003 academy awards that year were
Winner Adrien Brody

NOMINEES
Jack Nicholson
Nicolas Cage
Daniel Day-Lewis
Michael Caine

Could you imagine Last Samurai with Nick 'Rage' Cage? rofl
