{The goddess had searched for owners for the eggs, those worthy were placed in one area. However it was soon aware that there was too many that had the essence of being a good pair for the Kilen. As the choice was too hard, each seemed so right. Each person was given a number for a chance to win one of the wonderful eggs. They all hoped luck smiled on them as they waited.}

{Word got out that the Goddess had found some beautiful Kilen eggs, but there was not enough to go around. Everyone in the land wanted one. With so many clamoring for an egg, it was decided that a lottery would be held in order to give those truly interested a chance to win one. I am one of those seeking one of those wondrous eggs! Hopefully the Gods will see I am worthy of being paired with one of them, and that in my hand I hold a winning ticket!}

{While walking through the woods, I overheard someone telling of the Kilen eggs than the Goddess had found. And being the wise goddess that she is, she knew that she could not keep them. So she decided that tickets were to be given throughout the land. There would soon be a lottery to see who would become the guardians of each of the little ones. Slowly walking away, I figured I was too late to receive a ticket. As I moved through the brush towards the river, something caught my eye near the rocks. Moving closer, I realized it was a ticket. Could this be the ticket?}

Kraft waited in anticipation...there was too many. always too many and with the large group of people she could only wish for one to care for. If no one wanted one or if no one found a worthy "parent" for the egg she would gladly take care and nurture the creature. The God watching over the lot of them seemed distant as it chose the proper gaian for each...Kraft's fingers crossed in wait secretly hoping that they would choose her!

Walking into the forest I noticed another presence. My eyes widened in surprise as I noticed my dear goddess. She spoke in a firm voice “No need to open your mouth like that my dear. You might be surprised but really do you have to look so fish like.” I closed my mouth and gazed at her in adoration. In confusion I asked her, “What would you have of me?” Her eyes twinkled and she spoke with a mirthful voice, “I have several precious eggs and perhaps you would like to take one but it is not my decision alone. Let the number runes decide if you worthy or not.”

Tygress looked around at the eggs and the others who had gathered. She wasn't sure what had made her wander that way and happen upon the dazzling assortment of eggs, until she felt the presence of other. The goddess stood before her smiling, "These young will need guides when they emerge from their shells, are you willing to stand as a potential guardian." She nodded wordlessly, eyes wide with surprise at the honor. The goddess laughed brightly as she handed her a ticket. "Join the others then and see if you will be chosen."

Zee received a ticket as well, blinking at the small slip of paper with surprise. She looked up at the goddess in askance.
"You think I could do it?" she asked, unsure of her own worthiness to guide one of the little ones. "I mean, it's an honor, but-"
The goddess patted Zee gently on the head, forestalling further questions.
"You'll do just fine. They don't need perfection, they need love." she replied, and moved on. Zee clutched the ticket a little tighter, the beginnings of a smile on her face.

Poor Thalion.
One moment he was minding his own business, mulling over a pile of parchment scribbled over with mathmatical equations and charts and the next he was hauled up by the collar of his robes and thrown into an alternate dimension. With little reaction time, he was thrown face-first into the nearest puddle of mud. A few bubbles rose up and burst from the face of the puddle before a disgruntled face rose up. He knuckled the mud from his eyes and blinked as something golden caught his eye...
A ticket?
