Millie was spending the night at a friend’s house tonight, which gave Bellatrix the rare chance to be out patrolling for as long as she wanted to be. It was a nice sort of freedom, and she was taking it by the horns, leaving her house at about nine and walking around. It was nearing midnight now though, and she would have to return home soon, it was getting very difficult to keep her eyes open, and not just sit down on a bench and take a little nap.
Caelian stretched and let out a rather loud yawn before laughing and continuing her walk, shifting her direction so she was now walking back towards her neighborhood.
At least it had been a nice, quiet night so far. No fighting, no screaming, none of that violent stuff. Not yet anyway. She wished she could find someone to talk to now though, since that was what quiet nights should have been used for, building bonds and all of that good stuff. She hadn’t so much as seen any of the other knights and pages from that room since they had all been there…and she sort of wished she could have.
It would be nice to swap notes and such…and figure out how to visit her wonder.

Bifrost happened upon her by accident. She'd been doing her normal patrol (which was really just walking around the park a few times then walk home) when she came across the white haired knight. She fluffed her shoulders, head tilting to the side, and held out one of her hands, remembering normal 'human' customs.
"Bifrost Page. I'm one of the Chronos knights, ma'am. I think I saw you... in that room with all the other knights," said Bifrost. Wow, upfront and direct today were you? Well, it could be worse, she supposed, and she was a confident person. It was just the fluffing of the shoulders and butt wiggling that made her look odd and self conscious.
Her shoulders fluffed a little, but Bifrost just smiled at Caelian.

Well, speak of the devil and he shall appear. A smile formed on Caelian’s face and she nodded, taking the girl’s hand. Bifrost, one of the pages from the room! Yes, they had talked during that strange meeting! “It’s nice to see you again, Bifrost! I’m Caelian, if you don’t remember...” She laughed. “Sometimes I still forget my name, to be honest! I’m a page of Venus.”
She looked around making sure there really wasn’t anyone around, then gave a sigh. “Have you talked to anyone since that strange meeting? I haven’t, and I’ve been really wanting to. I tell you, it raised so many questions for me, and I’m not quite sure I enjoy having the questions, to be perfectly honest.”
Cealian gave a little smile. “Well, here I am rambling and not letting you get any words in edgewise.” She laughed then gave another look around. “Are you out here on patrol, Bifrost? Or are you just taking a walk to clear your head?”

Oh dear. This one was a chatty gryphon. Must be one of the song bird species. Bifrost simply smiled, shoulders fluffing a little again. Caelian was definitely an energetic one, that was for sure. Or at least talkative. That said, Bifrost hadn't spoken to anyone since the meeting; she'd gone to her Wonder a few times only to not be greeted by Prena (something she was grateful for) and had been studying for school.
You know, not to mention the flashback she found herself having during the middle of it.
"I haven't, actually. It felt like a dream to me, than anything. But, was there anything you were concerned about, from it? And this is my normal patrol route, mostly," she said with a smile to the older knight, clasping her hands behind her back. Bifrost rocked a little on her heels, something she did absentmindedly and without any real thought to it.

She shrugged, giving a small sigh and toying with her powder puff. “It did feel very much like a dream, didn’t it. I don’t know. Perhaps…Perhaps I’m just concerned with what we should do next? I just feel so compelled to go back to that room, to try and rebuild whatever it was that was lost…”
The Venus page looked to the younger girl and shook her head. “I must sound like a mad old lady rambling on about this…but…I don’t know. I felt such a sense of purpose, such a sense of need and…and almost a longing to connect with everyone…”
It wasn’t that the feeling wasn’t shared, right? The others in the room must have felt something like that, there had been a moment of connection, a moment that really brought everyone together…even if everyone spent a lot of the time arguing. Perhaps it was due to the arguments that the room was in such shambles anyway…if they could form tighter bonds…
Caelian shook her head again and laughed. “Sorry, I must have zoned out there for a minute…I don’t…I don’t know. It has been a thing that has been bugging me since then. But, if this is your patrol route, I’ll try to stop by again. It’s good to know where another knight is…It gets lonely just searching all the time.”

Bifrost glanced up at the stars, a look of longing in her eyes. "I think... it was telling us that we need to work together, instead of trying to control the situation with one leader. There are natural leaders, like Camelot and the older Knights, but if we're to repair anything, we have to do it as one entity, not fragments. Those of us at the meeting who bitched and bickered aren't going to help anything," she said quietly, lilac eyes hard for a moment. "There will always be those of use who don't work well with others, but we have a duty to do, whether they like it or not. At least, that's what I think." The Page of Chronos shrugged her shoulders. She was just the Gatekeeper of the Bifrost, and just one knight. She could say all she wanted, but nothing would come of it unless people honestly wanted to do it.
For a moment, a brief moment, there was a different sort of girl in Bifrost's armor and clothing. The girl that stood there was much more childlike, much more innocent, and gave Caelian a child's smile of optimism. A moment later, it was replaced with Bifrost's normal awkward, but cheerful expressions.
"I actually simply patrol this park, so I don't run into the Negaverse too much. I'm not much use in a fight," she said, wiggling her fingers with the rings on them. "They're not even good for hitting someone in the head with them."

Caelian nodded. “I agree. There was too many captains and not enough sailors at that meeting…but…I suppose, when they’ve only learned how to work on their own…they would all become leaders in their own right…but we can’t have a group full of leaders…” She sighed, watching Bifrost, at the smile, the page blinked, returning it with a hope filled one of her own.
“At least you can have such optimism, Bifrost. Keep that attitude, and I’m sure good things will follow you. You’re a very sweet girl.”
She nodded at the comment about being useless. “I agree with you there. All I have is this powderpuff. What can I do to anyone? Tickle them to death with the soft end?” She laughed. “I feel like we were thrown into this war by some sick creator, who really wanted to watch us fail…but, that can’t be right, can it. I don’t know. I do know I’d like to go and visit my…what was it they were talking about? Our wonders? I would like to see my wonder. Maybe one of these days I’ll figure out how to.”

Bifrost chuckled at the older knight. Her head tilted to the side at the mention of wonders. "Going to your wonder is really easy. I mean, you say a little pledge and get teleported there. It was actually really disorienting last time, 'cause I'm a Chronos knight and my wonder is on this place called the Surrounding in space.
"And there was this really annoying ancestor of mine who kept trying to force being 'the Gatekeeper' on me. She was all see-throughy and stuff," said the page. She crossed her arms and pouted, staring up at the sky. Stupid ancestor, getting all in her face. Though she did find her ring though!
"A benefit to going to your wonder is you find your signet ring! I'm not exactly sure about what it does though..." said Bifrost, holding up her little green ring with her symbols on it. "See? They're sorta unique things, like those senshi pen things. I think."

The page nodded, seeming absolutely intrigued. “Is that really all I’ll have to do? Maybe I’ll try it out after we finish talking. You have an ancestor there? That really…it all sounds amazing. I feel like…I don’t know. I’ve been doing this for a few months now but these things never cease to amaze me…I still find it so hard to believe that all of these things can happen in this city…and wonders and signet rings…”
Cealian drew closer, looking at the ring that Bifrost showed her, nodding and giving a small smile. “I want one of those…maybe one day you and I can see one another again and I can show you my wonder? If that is possible. Is that possible do you know?”
She laughed. “Oh I still sound like such a green horn. It’s horrible. I’m sorry to burden you with all of these questions, Bifrost, but you seem a lot more informed than I am.”

Bifrost pouted and glared off to the side. "I wouldn't call Prena amazing..." she grumbled under her breath. She really... disliked her ancestor. A duty to spend her life on a rainbow road that no one went to? That's really, like... no. Just no. It was like her mother trying to force her to be something she wasn't. Neither worked out well for anyone involved.
She glanced up at Caelian and tapped a finger to her mouth in thought. "I haven't actually taken anyone to the Bifrost, but I'm sure it can be done! Like, I don't see why not! And it's okay Ms. Caelian! I've just been a knight longer than you have, so I'm bound to have more information. Though I don't have much, really. Being a Knight is sort of just a hobby for me, not a really job like Camelot, or Shallot, or the others. I'm more than happy to help though!" Cheerful and with a smile, Bifrost sort of bounced as she spoke, happy to be of use to someone for once. Her butt wiggled a little, twitching in excitement. Not that she had issues with that or anything, but it was nice given how her mother liked to treat her and how most people sort of ignored her, but not really.
To be Bifrost and Mary was a strange thing indeed.

Caelian laughed, shaking her head. “Is she picky or something? I can imagine she must be old…or something. I don’t know.” The page stretched and gave a little sigh. “If you can figure out a way to show me the Bifrost, I would really love that! And, it’s still mostly a…a hobby for me as well. It’s difficult to find the time to get out and…do the things I’m supposed to with my daughter in the house. She’s not old enough to really be left on her own for very long. But, I try.”
She smiled once again at the girl and glanced behind her. “Speaking of my daughter, I think I’m going to head out and spend some nice quiet time alone for the rest of the night. She’s a wonderful girl, but if I get a night to myself, I’m going to take it! These types of nights are so rare now-a-days…It was lovely to see you again, Bifrost! I hope that we run into one another again soon, maybe by then we will have figured out how to take one another to our wonders!”
The woman gave a wave and set off into the night. Maybe it would be a good night for a bubble bath…yeah. Yeah it really would be a good night for one of those.
