People say that, in a nutshell, I'm observant. I'm quiet and calm, but not shy. Others say that I'm very much grade-obsessed and anti-social. What they don't know is that I'm borderline depressed. A good book can get my mind off of the pain of the loneliness swelling inside me.
But...
It seems that Hogwarts has changed me. A complete 180 degree turnaround. At first, I only spoke one word at a time. But then, I started to open up more and more, to the point where I started to expand my friendship circle. Books took a lesser importance than before. I still have trouble meeting new people, often ending up saying something awkward or "boring", as they say, but it's a big improvement, at least.
My background story is I was born and lived most of my life in London. My father works in the Ministry of Magic, while my mother is a muggle working as a receptionist for some car company. I should be happy, and I was for awhile. Nothing seemed to trigger the downward spiral that would lead to my bordeline depression, but I tried to hold the loneliness in.
I've lived my entire life as a boring student, studying boring subjects at a public school, and doing boring stuff other muggles seemed to enjoy. Days went by in black and white. The birth of my baby sister should've made me happy, but it didn't. My eight-year old brother is annoying as ever.
I wanted to go to Hogwarts because I thought that the experience could change me. I'm sick of living my life filled with boredom, and I heard that some interesting events have happened at Hogwarts. Maybe this was the break I was looking for: To turn back to normal. But what is normal? I wondered...
First Year While I tried to make friends, my first year at Hogwarts ended in confusion. First, I did realize that I needed to work on my social skills. Second, my efforts proved to be problematic when Samuel Meridith told me a couple things that made me doubt myself. This drove me to try to escape from Hogwarts through the Forbidden Forest. This ended in disaster when I stupidly tumbled down a tiny, rocky hill. I was beaten pretty badly and almost bled to death, until someone saved me. I didn't know who, but I'm alive because of that person. What confused me is that I keep getting these disturbing dreams and flashbacks to that day. I get paranoid, nervous, and sometimes, I feel like I'm dead.
Second Year Except occasional slip-ups, everything seemed fine. I felt livelier than before, although still detached. But towards the end of the year, somehow I just collapsed; I suffered a mental breakdown. I needed help, people told me. Perhaps I do, but I really don't want it. I have Athena with me, the curious and courageous little vixen with me, so I'll be fine, somehow.
Third Year Perhaps the most normal year for me. Nothing big happened, except for the fact that Sun joined me at Hogwarts. I worry about him, since towards the end he seemed to be acting strange. He hasn't been smiling as much as he used to, though that just may be puberty and being away from home for so long. That is, at least, what I hope it was.
Fourth Year All seemed to go well. I was named the quidditch vice-captain, which surprised me a little. I mean, I wasn't the most athletic person on the team... But nevertheless I made through the entire quidditch season without getting hit by one bludger, or hurting myself in an unprecedented way. I must say, I think I have broken my curse... Just when everything seemed dandy, my sister Autumn accidentally fell into the lake, or so she says, and almost died. Sun was nowhere to be found, which worried me even further. Through her ragged breath did I realize that I wanted to be a healer, that I didn't want to see anybody else suffer.
Fifth Year Life goes on, even if I was drowning in stress with the OWL's. I should've have focused more on the subjects I thought I would ace, but what's done has been done. Better start studying for NEWT's right now, as well as hoard books about healing.
Sixth Year Time passed by too fast for me. It was as if I just joined Hogwarts yesterday, and this thought echoed through my mind the entire year. In the blink of an eye, I moved on to the final year.
Seventh Year Graduation was more dramatic than it needed to be.
I enjoy reading, the quiet, staring at the night-sky, walking around aimlessly, and watching others live life.
I despise big social gatherings, feeling lonely, rain, getting any grade below E, and being interrupted.
I'm afraid of being alone and making mistakes.
My strength is memorization.
My flaws are that I cannot speak my mind quite well and I tend to bore people.
My wand is a 9 1/2, Willow wood, with Salamander tail core.
My pet are a snowy owl named Night and an arctic fox named Athena.
